Avatar the Last Airbender OFFICAL TRAILER reaction

HOLY SMOKES This looks great!!!!!!!!

What are you expectations? What was your reaction to the trailer?

Comments

Eli Spring

Haha been waiting all day for this!!! So pumped. When this releases, it's going to take over any other show on any other streaming platform.

Alex

I just watched the trailer about a minute ago and was surprised by how good it looks! Hoping this does the animated series justice, it's already miles better than the movie that shall not be named

Mallika Anand

I am now pretty much convinced that this adaptation will be amazing!! All I needed was to hear some dialogue from them and that's what I got. Everything looks amazing and I truly cannot wait for this.

Ron Banks

This whole trailer was like a huge apology for what happened in 2010. 😂… surpassed my expectations 💯 percent. Can’t wait.

Mai Lo

Daniel Dae Kim is Korean American. 😭 Not Japanese.

Even in Lost he played a Korean immigrant. In Hawaii 5-0 he played a Korean Japanese Hawaiian American.

Ashley H.N

The visuals on these scenes are just incredible. Just wholesome seeing our gang back together.

szeth

I really hope it does well I'm just a pessimist when it comes to live action adaptions at this point. Edit: I said this before watching ngl it looks really good

Alexandre Normandeau

I wait for you guys to watch it with you got the same energy than you guys love it so much waiting for so long for this just finish work and see it gonna be soo good well made by some real comic book readers

Juliet

Ah, I want this to be great. They did a phenomenal job with this trailer. The one casting choice I’m most impressed by has got to be Sokka! He is exactly how I imagine him to be. The only characters I’m truly dubious about are azula (doesn’t seem fierce and intimidating enough) and maybe iroh (a pinch more goofy than wise) in terms of casting for looks, but I’m excited to be proven wrong! Used to watch this with my younger brother as kids almost 20 years ago, which is absolute insanity. We’re holding our breath, but this is the most hopeful we’ve felt for the show’s success. Can’t wait for the reactions! IMO, I’d extended the journey the Gaang goes on from 1 year to 3. Just logistically it makes sense with the bond the kids form and how long it would take to be introduced and trained in each bending element. Maybe a season per year/book?

AL

So, lets talk reactions :v I say binge react on the 22nd, post all of it on the highest patreon tier, and release weekly on yt :v thoughts(?

Xeph

It is 1 book per season, 8 episodes of 1 hour each which makes it the same exact length as the original cartoon per season.

AL

Its so good to see Oak being happy and almost emotional at the end xD

Darrin Haley

I grew up watching this and I cried when I first seen this trailer 🥲 I can't wait

Raquel Perodin

The fire nation is primarily based on Japan, and people who aren't from Asia often have a hard time telling the different ethnicities apart, so it's an understandable mistake to make.

AL
>>127781271

Hey its just an idea they dont have to take it xD they can do it however they want we'll tak it

C. J. Ramirez

I knew the fire lord off Hawaii five o great actor

Ivan Rasmussen

I was very hesitant going into this being made in live-action. But gotta be honest, this trailer was pretty exciting, and definitely going to give it a fair shot. Between this and the Ones Who Live, February is going to be epic!

Davon Thomas

No Way we got confirmation for a one piece reaction.

Angel Zane

I want to take a moment to acknowledge Oak saying they'll be watching One Piece. I'm OVER THE MOON about it!

J

I’m super excited what type of changes they will make. I’m really optimistic. Hopefully not disappointed.

Marco Gutierrez

It's always nice to see ya'll so excited. Me personally I don't think this is going to be good, but if it is then great! I just know Netflix's track record. The Witcher got ruined, Shadow and Bone got ruined, Stranger Things was ruined, 13 Reasons Why got ruined, and I know these weren't the only things affected. Time and time again Netflix keeps hiring people to do these things that have no business holding a pen let alone writing an entire script and running a show. Mind you that while Netflix initially drummed up the hype stating that the original creators of the show joined the Netflix adaptation, they just quietly let it slide that those same creators left due to "creative differences" with the showrunners. Those same "creative differences" that caused them to fire Henry Cavill from the Witcher, I'll wager. I give it a few episodes before the show starts changing and losing quality and by the end of the season it's going to be quite a bit different in extremely bad ways, and they'll justify it by "if you want it to be exactly like the cartoon then watch the cartoon". These people are really just interested in writing their own fanfiction but using characters that people know and love to capitalize on that audience.

Ron C

Throwing a bottle in the sea here, but both the Badd Medicine team and FunnyLilgalreacts kind of went along the same Avatar Journey in the same time (including Korra, the whole synchronization between both channels is shocking) and you both seem reaaaaaally over-excited about the next live show adaptation. Just saying, if a collab' would happen.......................... I mean I love both you and her anyway so can't wait for your reactions !!

Zach Dragon

Pretty sure the runtime for season 1 is like 20 minutes longer than book 1, so yeah it’ll be a season for each book. It sounds like their cutting some of the more unnecessary stuff but building more on more important stuff like the Kyoshi warriors for example.

rachele

Btw, the one creature y’all were trying to figure out is Hei Bai from the spirit world (the panda bear)

K

I literally cannot remember if Soakah from the movie ever used his boomerang for anything other than a stick up his butt, so it’s nice to see Sokka using it here.

Ginger

Thank you for reviewing this! I don’t know if this could be as big as Stranger Things. I can’t wait for it to come out!

Gandheezy

You guys are so positive about everything, always cheers me up to see you getting excited about stuff I'm excited about

Faan Su

Tips: if you watching any video on YouTube you can pause it and then press the “,” or “.” key to move it frame by frame.

I don't think it's fair to already judge this show when nobody has seen any real footage of the show. Past results don't mean anything about future endeavors after all. I'd recommend you watch the trailer breakdown the showrunners did on the IGN YouTube page, it gave me a lot of confidence about the new series.

Kiia

Can’t wait to watch this and for you guys to react to this!!

Arudorin

If you assemble the right team, you can produce a great live-action film. Netflix has been doing an excellent job lately with their animated and anime live-action adaptations. I'm looking forward to watching this alongside you all!

That's your prerogative. Personally I don't see why anyone puts any stock into trailers. They're literally designed to make you want to go watch the movie. We've been baited by them on more than a few occasions and dumped money into something that was actually not good at all. I don't see any reason why you shouldn't pre-judge it. If you keep going to a restaurant and getting sick, wouldn't you assume it's a bad restaurant instead of thinking "maybe they got some new employees so it won't be bad"?

Unholy Tater

Can't watch this now but really looking forward to it! I didn't even notice a new trailer was up.

James Ventola

looks bomb, I remember watching the original when i was like 13 years old. Thats how long I've been waiting for this.

Coraima Corona Montijo

I was 10 when the show came oit and me and my brothers would get all the colored blankets and roll them up and throw them like we were bending the elements. This is really my favorite cartoon of all time and what originally made me subscribe to your patreon so im really excited to see you guys watch it with me. Im going to binge waych it with my nephew I CANT WAIT!!!!!

Jay

Badd Medicine, for YouTube videos, if you want to look at specific video frames, you can 1️⃣ pause the video, then 2️⃣ use the [ period ] and [ comma ] keys - which will scrub the video backwards and forwards by 1 single frame per keystroke. To scrub more quickly, you can 3️⃣ use the [ left arrow ] and [ right arrow ] keys - which will scrub the video backwards and forwards by 5 seconds per keystroke. ⬇️ Also, may I suggest "Avatar: The Last Airbender | Trailer Breakdown with Cast | Netflix" ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wVmyBda1G6I ).

Spice Light

Netflix has an official quiz to determine which of the four nations you belong to. Would love to see a video of you guys doing this, similar to how you did the Harry Potter quizzes. https://MasterYourElement.com
