This is such a good film! I’m so happy you’re on this one already! Also, just so you know the reason he was able to be so patient with America is because of Peter in No Way Home, or at least that’s the theory many have gone with haha

Erica Hermosillo

Also really cool fact that you might know is that this film is considered Marvels first horror film and was almost rated R/M with how scary it was but marvel told the director (Sam Raimi) to tone it down.

Wanda needed a support system and all she was given was a corrupted book and psychosis. 😔

I still stand by our girl, her actions were misguided but she is still my #1 female marvel character

Who let Alyssa watch this before the fantastic 4 or the what If series 😂

Some context on the Illuminati members: Captain Carter was first introduced in the animated series What If...?, which I recommend you watch at some point because it is good. Black Bolt is from the show Inhumans, which aired in 2017, and you really shouldn't watch it because it is really bad. John Krasinski as Reed Richards was pretty much just fan service because he was a really popular fan cast at the time.

It's not as bad as popular opinion holds, but my gripe is the director Sam Raimi - same guy who did the Tobey Spidey trilogy - seemed to phone it in, more interested in recycling bits/shots/in-jokes from his other movies but now with a Disney budget to play with. He even had Wanda go out the same way as Doc Ock from Spider-man 2 ("I will not die a monster, let me pull my evil creation down on top of my head")

Angel

You started talking about kittens and I'm over here looking for an Amazon list to buy stuff for your new furbabies 😂

Have you seen the two 2005/2007 Fantastic Four movies? Reed Richards in this movie just made me wonder. I’m not sure if they’re even important to the MCU lineup and obviously there’s their version of a Fantastic Four movie later, but in Deadpool and Wolverine there is a sort of nod to it with some of the characters, plus Chris Evans/Captain America’s actor is one of the four Fun facts, In Spider-Man Far From Home when Mysterio is pretending to be from a different universe, he says their universe is 616 and he came from a different number. Idk if he theorized about multiverses himself or something, but I assume that was a little nod ahead in the writing to the actual confirmation of the multiverse rather than what Mysterio made up. I’m also pretty sure 616 is where miles morales is from so that would make him the same one as all the avengers! Now to be fair, with the way Strange screwed up with Peter and the forgetting spell in NWH, I can see why illuminati considered him the biggest threat. One version of him already destroyed one universe and if Peter hadn’t thought to use the forgetting spell on himself it would’ve wrecked theirs too. Stephen doesn’t have the best history going for him

Alyssa! Baybee! Whole beginning of the video I was literally screaming at you through my iPad to go get your glasses as a fellow eyeglass/contacts wearer.

Wife and I were in the theatre for this. When the line “I love you in every universe” comes up, my wife nearly jumped out of her seat. On our wedding date 10 years ago I wrote this statement “I hope all of the Jesses meet all of the Jenn’s in every universe exactly like we did”
