For a second I thought this was like "Burial: The Game" and you dig graves. After what I learned during the ESRB episode I put nothing past the early gaming industry...

2600 actually might refer to the phone phreaking that Bushnell and other Atari engineers would have been familiar with from their college days. 2600Hz was famously the frequency that signaled phones to make a long distance connection, It was also the frequency of a toy whistle included in boxes of Cap n' Crunch that college students could then use to make free long distance phone calls. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2600_hertz

The worst part of the Pac-Man port was that the programmer actually had a reasonable amount of time. Noah said he was given five weeks but that was for the E.T. game, not Pac-Man. The E.T. game is actually not THAT bad and really just needed a bit of tweaking. In terms of design, it's pretty innovative and is very much like an early version of Legend of Zelda. There is a patched version of E.T. that fixes most of the issues (like you only fall in the pit if your feet touch it) makes it very playable. The amazing thing is that the patch is only about 50 BYTES of changes.

This is not the greatest song in the world; this is just a patron name.

On the subject of Wisdom Tree games, most of their NES work was garbage, with one exception: Spiritual Warfare. A not-too-bad attempt at a zelda-like top-down adventure game, with a fair difficulty curve, reasonable conveyance (for an NES game), and an actual plot.

I thought I was going to die laughing each time Heath put in about the need to blow on the cartridges. Silly, I know, but…
