Stormy Decisis

You've been asked about the most common reasons for rejecting a topic (article too short, etc.), but what are the LEAST common reasons that you have actually used as the reason to reject a topic?

Patrick Carr

What’s each of the hosts’ favorite episode so far?

Sanschristo

For each of the hosts: If you had to summarize everything you've learned in the entire show so far in one sentence, what would that be?

CMills

How long are your recordings typically before they are edited down for release?

Ian (no, not that one)

Do y'all support other podcasts (go to love shows, on patreon, etc)? What content creators do you support?

Kelly Burke

What are the best essay topic ideas that just didn’t end up working out? What essay topics (besides gamergate) got vetoed?

Dan

What is Heath's "Everyday Carry (EDC)?"

Steven

Did Noah's recent Diatribe about Pascal's wager start out as research for a potential Citation Needed episode? Personally, I thought it was one of the best Diatribes ever, and I'd love to hear a whole Citation Needed episode on Pascal now.

Dan

Is anybody watching the ICC Cricket World Cup? If so, supporting which team(s)?

Ateo

Is there any essay topic you guys would love to revisit due to new info coming out or the story changing?

every voice listening

Is there anything you wish you could discuss on a PiaT podcast but feel like you can't / shouldn't?

Ira Coman

If you could have any historical figure guest co-host the show who would you pick?

Joshua

You had Marsh on to share his knowledge about homeopathy. Have you ever considered inviting any other guest essayists? *cough* Cara Santa Maria *cough*

Tanya Bernard

If you never started podcasting, what would your career be?

Stormy Decisis

If you were to create wikipedia pages as surprise gifts for your cohosts (i.e., make them the perfect story), what would you do?

Troublemaker Jake

Have there ever been any subjects you've really wanted to an episode on, but the sources just werent meaty enough to get a proper episode or even a short out of?

We can feed everybody

Can you either direct us to the episodes that first created the controversy or summarize the tension over 'rank the races' and Jon Bennet Ramsey?

Craig A. Youngman

Can we hear Noah's story/stories about meeting James Randi?

GeekOfDoom

Have you all voted down a topic because the episode would have been too long? And can we have that episode?

Fablo Twang

Is there a Wikipedia page where all of you have said “categorically and absolutely not” to doing an episode about said Wikipedia page? Apart from Jon Bennet Ramsey 😂

Mark H

Where the hell is this Holodomor episode I keep hearing about?

One I'd Nick

Noah: what planet would you most like to do an episode on? Tom: which character have you most enjoyed playing in a skit? Heath (Freetown project is still my favourite episode - I got you to sign my copy of A Libertarian Walks Into A Bear at QED last year!): If you were to launch a spinoff podcast with Cecil discussing historical figures, what would your show be called? Also, when are you starting that show? Eli: when are you going to finish reading the rest of My Immortal? Cecil: what's it like being Eli's employee? What angle does he make you bow to?

We can feed everybody

Cecil, what are some food-related topics that you would find good fodder for this podcast?

One I'd Nick

Are there any episodes you wish you could have written the essay on, that someone else did first?

One I'd Nick

If someone wrote a Wikipedia article on you, what fact/incident would you most like to see included/excluded?

One I'd Nick

If you were to write your cohost's Wikipedia entry, what one thing would you make sure was included?

Jason Rucker

You're in a melee fight to the death. What weapon do you pick?

That Black Girl

Will we ever get part 3 of "My Immortal"?

Mark

If you could have Cecil cook your last meal, what would it be, and Cecil which of your cohosts would you want to cook your last meal?

Ronan da Rosa

Forgive me if this is already been asked, but how are jokes written after the initial essay is done? How do you try and keep reactions fresh for recording while still knowing where your jokes will be?

Unofficial_Opinion

Can we please have a Noah Reviews Video Games thing? I hear you guys mention Facebook a lot, but I don’t use it. Do you post video game discussions there?

KeepingThePlatesSpinning

When is Cecil going to make the crunch wrap he promised on thomas smiths show?

Dustin Hanson

What essay was the hardest to write jokes about?

Liz Rosenberg

what do you wish was a wikipedia entry, but isn't?

Jenamarie

Are there any puns you thought of for the end-of-show quiz *after* the record that you'd like to share?

Ryan Hewitt

1. Who would you want at an ideal dinner party

Ryan Hewitt

2. What are you going to do if Trump wins the next election

Ryan Hewitt

3. What's your favourite episode?

Ryan Hewitt

4. If you could have a (non-Bill Bryson) guest host who would it be & why

Billy Magfhloinn

Have you seen the Steven Seagal episode of Bobby Fingers on Youtube? He mentioned your podcast episode as inspiration for making it. It's art inspiring more art.

Gmork

What was the origin of the concept, or rather lack of concept? I get deciding to do a collab w the CogDis guys, but who came up w "essays about whatever" ?

Gmork

JonBenet Ramsey

Gmork

I know this isn't the place to submit topics, but I'm going to throw out anyway: Gilles de Rais. Top lieutenant to Joan of Arc who afterward squandered his vast wealth of art and theater until the Catholic Church framed him as history's most prolific child murderer/rapist to steal his remaining wealth. This is the topic that would make Eli and Cecil best friends.

Ian (no, not that one)

You get to invite 2 people (living or dead) to a dinner party who are they and why?

Julie Wine&Reason

Is there audio from a particular episode that you cut out (and why) but kept for yourselves?

james devine

My wife and I are child free so we decided to choose the roles of cool Aunt and Uncle. My sister's daughter is crazy for Jesus. Eventually, we will start getting questions about or faith, or lack there of. I don't want to step on my sister's toes in regards to what she is teaching them, but I will not lie to a child if asked a straightforward question. how should I handle this?

Gina Va

This is the only question that matters! 🧛🏽‍♀️

Godzilla Jesus

How have the modern movements of BLM, Me Too, and others affected your approach to comedy?

Hugh Mongo Johnson

1. Any live shows planned?? 2. How did ya'll meet? 2a. Am I crazy or was there a reference in an early episode about Eli being married to someone's sister? 3. Can your wives (sorry Heath) do an episode/show? They must be some great women to put up with all of you! (said with all the love in my heart)

Stella

What's the weirdest or most unexpected song in your music collection?

outaspaceman

Would any of the cast be interested in receiving United Kingdom Place Name Pronunciation tuition/coaching..? 😃👍

Gmork

You can hear Anna Bosnick on D&D Minus. "Lucinda Lugeons" is a regular on Scathing Atheist I think Hailey Curry was on a dating game episode of Dear Old Dads

Gmork

My understanding is they met each other working at a NY toy store.

Gmork

I think Eli answered this before. He invited Alito and Thomas, dead.

Gmork

Tom must be a good cook, both by virtue of his relationship w Cecil and bc he'd consider it a failure not to be.

Gmork

I'm still passed they didn't do a whole spinoff based on TomTom the walrus.

Ryan Hewitt

Name a conspiracy theory you believe in

One I'd Nick

If you could go to any place/time in history to witness events first-hand, where/when would you choose?

Grey

Just want to say that somehow, even though all of your other podcasts are amazing, this one somehow is even better. It's so good. Now I have two questions, if I might be so presumptuous: Will we ever see that Citation Needed episode on the history of growing grass/lawns that was teased by Noah? And perhaps relatedly, how often do you start getting into a topic/episode before realizing it's just not funny/you don't think you can make it funny? Thanks again for making the best podcast ever.

Pax Ongley

Books: all time favorite and current recommendation?

HazeWulf Demonic

From looking at the release dates of the other two episodes, they were released 6 months apart, and part 1 was released last October, so I'm hoping it'll be posted any day now!

One I'd Nick

You are all running to become president of the United States - who do you vote for?

Paintmekala

Will you finish your reading of My Immortal.

Jlynn

What Citation Needed episode would be best for an interpretive dance or Cirque du Soleil routine?

Lime Green Morpheus

Heath and Noah were part of a floor team doing demonstrations for a hacky sack company at FAO Schwartz in NYC and Eli was working for a magic supply company doing magic tricks. Noah and Heath started Scathing and took on their current pseudonyms so they wouldn’t be fired from their day jobs because of all the profanity. Eli was a regular guest and joined the company when he was fired from the magic company.

Lime Green Morpheus

Would you consider doing an episode on major religious figures, Jesus/Buddha/Muhammad etc?

Lime Green Morpheus

The episodes on cocaine and marijuana are two of my favorite, would you consider doing episodes about other drugs like meth? I’m sure there’s so much dark humor with that

A Sauce Packet

What’s Noah’s favorite hot pocket? How many myachi’s does Heath own still? What best masks Eli’s scent? How do ya’ll make it all happen?

fried_frog

How many different jobs has Tom held in his life. Every episode seemingly he has been doing something else for multiple years

fried_frog

When will the Jean Bonnet Ramsey episode be released?

Kelly Burke

I know he just read “Zero: The Biography of a Dangerous Idea” right before that diatribe. I can’t remember if that book goes into that level of detail about Pascal specifically, but I think it may have at least started Noah’s adventure into math history

Mark H

I think they did one on Jenkem, too

G_the_D

Fatty Arbuckle. What about the episode made you take it down? I have listened to it before, and while the man was absolutely cringe, I don't recall the cast saying anything that made the episode that bad.

Damp_Cabbage

Will Elmo be joining the AMA?

Damp_Cabbage

Will we get to hear Heath hate-reading any more books?

Erik Schultz

Can you guys do an episode on Alex Jones?

Test Patreon Please Ignore

Which member of the cast has a real-life personality closest to the character they play on the show?

JDK

Do you delete patreon only content after a while? Like where is my immortal ep 1? And why?

JDK

Thanks 🙏

outaspaceman

Halloween.. O pls. O. pls..🙏

outaspaceman

Actually, while you’re paying attention., I live - in a complex relationship - with Multiple Sclerosis.. Your show has been invaluable to my well being over these last few, difficult years and probs works better than the Reiki my MS Nurse wants me to consider trying.. Thank you..😘👍 Do lots more for lots longer..👍 OSM (I endorse this service/product).

G_the_D

The original Etruscans episode was such an odd turn. Who came up with that?

Ferret Maestro

For each of you, what is your favorite category of topic/type of episode to make? (whether as the presenter or not)

Ferret Maestro

Is there any plan to revisit the topic of the Titanic? I enjoyed that episode but feel like there is a trove of interesting stuff left out because the main focus was the more recent aspect. Hell, even the story of the wreck sites discovery is full of weirdness

James F

Will we ever get the finale of my immortal? I have been holding my breath and am afraid I won't last much longer.

LisaLisa

What the hell happened in Edinburgh?!?

Digging Up Ancient Aliens - Fredrik

While it is a lighthearted comedy show where you pretend to be experts.. Don’t you worry that you might contribute to the misinformation that is spreading rapidly? Especially on Wikipedia that tend to depend on older sources

LisaLisa

Noah, please tell us about your encounters with James Randi!

outaspaceman

& was Tom Scott involved..? 😂😂😂
