L: A few days ago, Grimm, our friend Ray and I fell into a nostalgic rewatch of The Thing — as one does. Naturally, it reminded me that I, too, have an old abomination lurking in my folders that’s been gently neglected.

So here it is again: this delightful mess. Some of you may remember its first appearance in an earlier post (ding! it was marked as a spoiler, of course). Looking back now, all I can say is... wow, that info is painfully outdated. Oops.

The concept hasn’t changed much though: it’s an amorphous pile of bubbling ink, with one stable head and a bunch of temporary ones that appear and vanish like bad thoughts. Screaming beaks rise from the black goo and disappear just as quickly — same goes for the legs, which, surprise! Are also beaks. Because why not.

I imagine it would be extremely unpleasant if this thing decided to crawl out of your eye. Just putting that out there.
