Demolition Man - Full Movie Reaction

John DiGiantomasso

Love this movie! One of my all-time favorites! Sadly, it seems much of this "perfect society" is already being forced on us, except the cussing is becoming more acceptable. Remember, this was WAY before the lockdowns and societal alterations of COVID. You did good, Bunny! I was worried you might be a bit too young for some of the references, but you got most of them. Those commercial jingles were all from my childhood in the 1960s. Most of those fancy futuristic buildings are from my old stomping grounds in San Diego and Orange counties. The "pyramid frame building" where the Oldsmobile busts out through the glass was just around the corner from my old office in San Diego by Miramar NAS. It was a furniture store back then. By the way... "Bunny: you are fined many credits for repeated violations of the verbal morality code." That was fun!

Great movie! Simon Phoenix is a great villain and Snipes brings a great sassy trope to all his scenes. The characters were great with Sandra Bullock shining in being named after Lenin and the Brave New World author. Don't know what Cocteau is about but I listen to The Cocteau Twins, so ymmv. A fun humorous movie without the irony of the later MCU movies. I think the idea behind Phoenix getting released before Sparta is they were having him for a periodic parole hearing when he killed everyone and escaped.

A classic favorite I'd watch with my father when he was alive, we loved most of Sly's movies and this one absolutely ranked up there! Remember when the Franchise Wars happen bunnbunn, Taco Bell will be our only restraunt left. 😜

As much as I love Taco Bell, this movie made me question if I would be okay eating nothing but that for the rest of my life.

Hey just think of the hell that Taco Bell would be in Demolition Man, no hot sauce or meat allowed. Can't even let out a "Damn!" Lol
