An excellent choice! 👌 Clancy Brown as The Kurgan is awesome. Gotta love Sean Connery as a "Spaniard" with a Scottish accent. 😆 And of course the soundtrack by Queen is just an absolute banger! 🤘🎸 Definitely avoid the sequels, though. 💩 The TV show was good for the first few seasons, but (and opinions vary on this, of course) they kept tinkering with the formula and I think they kinda lost the plot around season 4 or 5. It got heavier and broodier and (I think) less fun. I'm curious what your husband thinks about that.

Ever since "Brigadoon", time warps and The Scottish Highlands have been a favorite movie draw. Bunnytails should invest in a kilt+ regalia -- they look good and they're comfortable. Here bunny gives a great reacts, never intrusive, from a wtf Act 1 to a lively plotline and cliffhanger. Highlander is a good movie. Lots of authentic touches in the Scotland scenes. The New York scenes get crazy. One historical note: when Ramirez introduced himself he said he was a metallurgist for Charles V of Spain but if he means Charles V from the Holy Roman Empire that makes him Charles I of Spain and there is no current Spanish Charles V. There was a pretender Charles V in the Carlist Wars in the 19th century but he was never king iirc. This was when Isabella II was Queen of Spain. I thought it was interesting if that's what they meant, the Carlists being a legitamist party and pretty inside baseball. I recommend the actor who played Kastigator, Hugh Quarshie, in the BBC Titus Andronicus, where he's awesome as Aaron the Moor. Aaron is evil, but not as bad as Othello, and unlike him is not nobel and tragic at the end after beating and murdering Desdemona. Aaron is more Iago than Othello, hence smarter and unlike Othello doesn't have a nervous breakdown in Act II.

The series was great up until maybe the last few seasons. There's some retconning but I think it made the lore and story even better. Basically assume that the first highlander movie happened but they ignore that McCloud and Kurgen weren't the last two and there are still plenty of immortals out there.

Bunnytails is a very patient girl. Lots to keep track of and the reveals are late in the game. I used to rent this one all the time. The version here is an extended cut that’s not as good. Not a lot different, but the theatrical version is tighter. I CANNOT recommend any sequels (I saw Highlander 2 in theaters and wanted to kill myself). Clancy Brown was in a great movie with Peter Weller and Jeff Goldblum called “Buckaroo Banzai”, a cult classic. Very glad Bunnytails enjoyed Highlander!

Hey Bunny, in the future if you have to restart a reaction for a technical difficulty like you did at the end of this one you really need to uncensore the feed for atleast a minute. This was a nightmare to re-sync with the footage blurred. Pretty disappointing.

Sorry I have disappointed you. Unfortunately I cannot show a minute of footage without it being blocked. Maybe a few seconds, though. I'll try to remember next time.

Any amount of time would help. With the way you censor the top of the screen, alot of time we're basically trying to sync crotches lol
