Awesome stuff! Thank you bunny for your react to a great series

Matthew Graves (Graviton)

Great reaction as always Bunny! Ok, obligatory first comment: it was Clarke who said “Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic” not Asimov Kirsh brings up the existential questions with Joe, but doesn’t really get too deep into it other than to say that the Lost Boys can potentially help answer those questions. My own theory? That is the aspect of all this that most interests Kirsh, since he’s an artificial being himself, albeit of a different type. The scene with the eye creature and the sheep was impressively icky. What should we call the merged creature? I I briefly thought “Sheepballs” but that invokes (probably) entirely inappropriate imagery. 😆But notice how Kavalier made a note of its intelligence. I wonder if maybe it’s some alien species that has experience with the xenomorphs. Maybe an enemy or rival? I’m not as knowledgeable about the alien franchise as some. I’ve only seen the movies up to the one with Winona Ryder and none of the more recent stuff, but I don’t think the eye creature has been shown before this show. I could be wrong Kavalier was definitely in full on prick mode here. I thought his motivation of desperately wanting an intellectual equal to converse with was cool and fascinating. I hope they don’t abandon that for a more “generic hubristic supervillain” type of take. On that note Bunny, when he was talking to Wendy you mentioned that you didn’t think Kavalier trying to drive a wedge between her and Joe would work. It goes beyond that though. Joe had earlier mentioned to herthat he was not ALLOWED by the company to see her. So Kavalier using Joes absence in that way is, at the VERY least disingenuous, if not outright false manipulation. The actress plays it admirably subtle, but I think we are meant to surmise that Wendy sees what Kavalier is doing and is starting to perhaps turn on him. We will see. Maybe I’m off on that. Anyway, still enjoying this a lot EDIT: Just watched your Youtube post of ep 1. I guess. Wendy knew they had told Joe she was dead from the beginning, which makes Kavalier's bringing up his not coming to see here here really weird. Maybe I missed something. On the other hand, some of the so-called "dumb stuff" people seem to have a problem with don't seem like actual problems for me. For instance: why would rescue teams be armed? Well, yeah... it's a dystopian future. There is no civil authority, just armed corporations. If a rival corp crashes a ship onto your territory, it makes sense to go in "hot". At least to me. Maybe I'm more easily "filling in the blanks" than some people since im SO steeped in sci-fi conventions and tropes. *shrug* Also, you got to rock out to Metallica during the credits last week. I was tickled to hear one of my faves from Jane’s Addiction this week! 😎 Sorry for the lengthy post. Im on a little mini-vacay so Ive got time on my hands :)

No worries for the long post! I am interested in hearing your thoughts about it! I have watched to the current latest episode (7) so I can't say much about your theories. I also don't really get the hate. The things people are upset about really don't bother me either. This show is surprisingly polarizing. People seem to either love or hate, and not many in between.
