So, I’ve never seen this or played the video game but I had so much fun doing my own “first watch” of Alien Earth alongside you that I thought I’d check this out. It’s a bit of a weird thing for me. I went through a major anime phase back in the 90s. I had VHS tapes and later DVDs of stuff like Akira, ghost in the shell, vampire, Hunter, D, etc., back when anime was still very new to American audiences. I haven’t really kept up with anime stuff for quite a long time. However, I DID play a few sessions of the original Cyberpunk tabletop RPG back when it first came out. So I’m somewhat familiar with the world, though it’s been literally over 30 years. So what did I think of it? Pretty good. I’m interested in it so far, and will stick around for a few more episodes to see if I’llreally get into it. I do like the animation quite a bit. Hard to judge the story yet, the world is pretty brutal, but that’s to be expected. I feel like I’m still getting handle on the characters. I wonder if you’ve ever read William Gibson‘s Neuromancer. The original table top RPG was based very heavily on that book in the series that followed. It’s considered a foundational work for the entire genre of cyberpunk in general. I loved it and highly recommended it if you are ever looking for another book to read LOL. It’s a classic in not terribly long as far as sci-fi novels go.

Nope, I have never read Neuromancer. Perhaps I shall at it to the list!!
