Yup! You’re seeing this correctly!

I’ve reacted to the ENTIRE movie of The Greatest Shownan!

So…

Sit back.

Relax.

Grab some snacks (or dinner because it’s late as hell).

And enjoy me having a blast to this movie and almost breaking into tears… Several times 😭😭😭

Hoo boy do I have some stuff to say about this movie! First off, yes, I would love you to react to movies after you move. Anyway, so, a lot of stuff in this movie, the truth is stretched to the max, or ignored completely. The reason this was done, according to the director, is because they wanted to make this movie the way that PT Barnum himself would've made this movie if he was still alive (basically, "rule of cool" is in lol). Btw, the director, Michael Gracey, was a first time director in this movie 😮😮😮 Ok, so, PT was quite the failure, but not nearly the failure the movie makes him out to be, well, at least, not in the same way. The wax museum that PT has before he starts the circus was actually wildly successful. In fact, people loved it so much that they were staying in the museum for too long, which was impacting the potential profits. In order to fix this, PT had a sign that said "This way to egress" (just another way to say "exit," but the customers didn't know that), which led the customers out of the museum so that new ones can come in. The actor who plays Tom Thumb (or Napoleon as you kept calling him lol) was actually too tall for the part, so he had to walk around on his knees to make him appear shorter than he actually was. Also, in real life, it was only him and PT that saw the queen. Jenny Lind's tour was actually a huge success for both her and PT (no lovey dovey stuff between them either since, in real life, PT definitely didn't look Hugh Jackman). Also, Jenny didn't quit the tour. She basically bought PT out so that she could do the tour on her own and take home more of the profits that way. Philip Carlyle is actually an amalgamation of multiple apprentices to PT Barnum. The director was asked why he cast Hugh Jackman in the role of PT Barnum since Hugh doesn't look like PT at all and he basically said he did it because "That's what PT would've done" 😂😂😂 This movie actually shows PT Barnum in a very favorable light while the reality is quite different. PT heavily exploited his "oddities," which we do see a little bit in the movie, but definitely nowhere near the extent it happened in reality. Once again, they basically made this movie the way PT Barnum would've made it. He definitely would've showed himself in the best light possible (and he definitely would've hired Hugh Jackman as himself). PT actually had several children and Charity was actually older than he was in real life, but only by 2 years. Glad you enjoyed the movie! Fun fact: this movie is the movie I've seen the most in theaters (5 times). I have seen a few movies 4 times in theaters (John Wick, Infinity War, Endgame, etc.), but there's just something about The Greatest Showman lol A lot of acapella coming your way in June, as well as maybe some ED (depends how you react to stuff lol), so be prepared 😉
