Wow… We’re almost done with this volume and it has been a crazy ride yet again!

I’m not gonna lie to you… This volume surprised me a lot and it’s out there as one of my favorites. Yes, it didn't have a lot of fighting, which is probably going to be one of the main complaints that people have… But from the massive character development and insight to all the characters involved… This volume is a standalone classic!!!

This finale has got to slap !! 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Thank you all for your patience with me being a couple days behind but the finale will be on time!

It's official I think this is my current fav vol. Poor jaune friendly fire on accident I bet Weiss isn't feeling to great about that 😬 I don't blame her though she didn't mean too. Ruby man she has become my fav character at this point I can't wait to see what happens with her next. I miss little but I think they are gonna come back based on that mask the lady was making I think it was a mouse mask anyways I may be wrong. Yangs moment with ruby was so beautiful along with jaune and Weiss's talk and hug. I still love/hate this cat man. Casey Killin it with the quiet lofi music I love it. That's about all I've got for now until next time 🌹

Two things you missed!!!! The Blacksmith was making a mask and did you noticed that it was shaped like a mouse face!!! A Mouse face!!!!! And in the credits, we see what Summer Rose looks like head to toe and her weapon!!!!!!

I didn’t notice the mouse mask, and when I first saw it, I tried to make out what it was, but I couldn’t for some reason, but I’m glad that y’all picked up on it!

I was shocked with the entire head to toe summer rolls reveal, which was awesome! And I didn’t notice the mask mask at first but I’m glad that y’all dad and this is restoring faith within me😭

The voice acting has been phenomenal this volume but omg Lindsay is absolutely blowing my mind every single time, I still managed to sob especially hearing them say "it feels so heavy" they are so talented🔥

Lol no no, Daddy Juane is totally accurate 😂 Weiss seems to agree anyways lol I hope he's okay and can have a happy life because JFC he deserves it. My partner made the comment that each time Penny and Pyrrha are used to hurt us it is 100% because of Bernie and Miles. She says, "I have watched enough Rooster Teeth content to know that it's Bernie and Miles. They learned early on that if they can get an audience attached enough, they can abuse the shit out of our feels and we will keep coming back for more. As long as we get thrown a bone every once in a while." So basically our bone was Bumblebee 😂 I can't believe that the finale is almost here! I hope the hiatus isn't too long. I might actually die waiting lol jk

People have already brought up the mouse mask/helmet, but I remembered something from the Blacksmith's first appearance. At that time, she was crafting butterfly wings for Herb! I really hope the next episode is way longer, we need a lot of screentime to wrap everything up. I have a feeling we might get Ruby's volume 10 design in the finale, as a way to show some kind of character evolution. I was thinking she could even get a white cloak with it to represent Summer.

Eddy's already said it's gonna be the longest episode and that episode 9 was basically part one to a larger episode.

if Ruby's new design takes parts of Summer's, I hope her new cloak is an inverse of hers. Instead of white on the outside and red on the inside, it'll be red on the outside and white on the inside.

There's been a lot of cool suggestions and ideas for a design update for RWBY, but one I like a lot is Crescent Rose getting an axe upgrade. Also, something I just recently realized: Summer was the lumberjack in Red Riding Hood all along. In fact, all Silver Eyed Warriors seem to be part of that fairytale. RRR = Ruby, Grandma = Maria, Big Bad Wolf = the Hound and Lumberjack = Summer.

If there's one thing I was personally missing from this episode, it was a couple minutes of reflection before the gang ran into the Genial Gems. They just watched their leader end her current self, but then they see the Gems and quickly learn that lesson of acceptance and the tree being rebirth. But like, I would have liked to see a moment where they're reeling from what happened, possibly questioning themselves and whether they were negligent toward her. Idk maybe that's main character syndrome talking, but I just think all the talk of leaving the rest to Ruby overlooks the role that close friends and family play in propping up a person when they can't do so themselves.
