In the morning, Marcia woke up Joyce.  “Wake up, it's time to get ready for the day.”

Joyce was compelled to follow Jason's morning ritual just as he would.  But when Joyce woke up, she hoped she wasn't starting her period yet.  It was due any day now.  This would have been a nuisance if she was wearing her own underwear, but she was in the underoos of her preteen cousin. Joyce thought that the clothes she was wearing must have stretched in the night.  They didn't feel tight at all anymore.  She might have to get him some new clothes because of the ones she stretched out when all this was done, but she didn't worry about that now.  She was much more concerned to find herself still in Jason's bed.  She didn't notice that the pajamas she was wearing had grown either.  It had only grown in the areas of her chest and somewhat in the hips.

She was torn between staying in bed and hoping this nightmare would end and leaving it to get everything back to normal.  She really didn't have any choice in the matter.  Once Marcia told her to get up, she had to do it.  She got out of bed, she was still hugging Jason's favorite stuffed animal (rabbit).  She left the bed and went to Jason's drawers.  She didn't want to, she just did it sort of on autopilot.  Inside his drawers, she found a new pair of briefs.  These were printed boxer briefs in a rich blue color.  They fit Joyce comfortably as they were very much like her own boy shorts.  The only real difference was the print on the briefs.  Joyce would have never selected a dinosaur print as a boy would and there was an unnecessary fly hole in the front.

There obviously wasn't anything like a bra in the drawer for her D-cup breasts.  Jason didn't wear undershirts in the late spring, so she didn't either.  There wasn't much choice in socks, there were about a dozen pairs of white athletic socks.

Joyce looked into a lower drawer for a nice polo shirt.  The polo shirt was just like any other shirt.  Joyce could have chosen a t-shirt, but she still had her own style.  The polo shirt was much nicer.  She decided to pick one in blue to match her underwear.  Something Jason would never consider.

Finally, Joyce went to his closet to pick out a pair of jeans.  Joyce selected a pair that was pretty new.  Certainly, something that didn't have any holes in them.  It didn't surprise her anymore that all the clothes fit her.  Even Jason's sneakers (Converse boy's sneakers in dark blue and white with laces) fit.

Once she had finished selecting her apparel she took off her pajamas and briefs.  The briefs went into the hamper and the pajamas she knew instinctively had to be returned to its hanger in the closet.

She was now naked and started to dress.  Marcia still wearing her nightie, went into the room without knocking as she had thousands of times before and saw what Joyce had selected.

"That's really nice," Marcia told her.  Jason had never coordinated an outfit before.

“Thank you.”

"You must be growing up?  No more t-shirts and ratty jeans?"

"Not today anyway, I guess."

Joyce realized that Jason wouldn't have taken so much time choosing the proper outfit for the day.  But he was an eleven-year-old boy, Joyce was neither of those things.  Taking pride in one's appearance was second nature to her.  She didn't want to be seen in any old thing.

Jason had resisted wearing nicer clothing, preferring what was convenient and comfortable to what looked nice.  Joyce didn't have to be compelled by the stone to choose nicer clothes than Jason would have.  She might have even spent more time looking for a nicer set of slacks and shirts, but Joyce was compelled not to be late by the stone.

Joyce got dressed, fixed her hair, brushed her teeth, put away her used clothes, put away her toys, and made her bed just as Jason was expected to do and then came down to breakfast.

Jason was waiting for her.  He was wearing Joyce's clothes although they were in a size that fit him perfectly.  Joyce assumed he was wearing her panties, just as she was wearing his boxer briefs.  But she wondered if he was wearing her bra too, she couldn't be a hundred percent sure one way or the other.  There did seem to be a little bump in his chest.  Maybe Joyce was imagining it.

Jason and the rest of his family were also sitting around the table waiting for Marcia to fix breakfast.  On the table were empty bowls that would soon contain the sugary cereal which Joyce was expected to eat.  Everyone saw Joyce dressed in Jason's clothing and didn't say a word.  It all seemed quite normal to them although Jason usually arrived at the table a little later than the rest.

Dylan might have had her problems, but she was never late for school and never had to be reminded what to do to get ready.  She selected the outfit she planned on wearing the night before and woke up early enough to put on her makeup.

A few moments later, Jimmy came down to breakfast.  He was dressed in his work clothes.  He was the supervisor of the superintendents of several high schools.  He couldn't wear just the usual maintenance man uniform, he had to look the part.  He came down wearing a black tea-length formal dress.  It was a one-shoulder dress that had a satin bodice and a tulle skirt.  The belt which accentuated the natural waist was made of stretch satin.  It had a low back.  Jimmy preferred low back or open back dresses since he thought they emphasized his best feature, his slightly hairy back.  He didn't like wearing the hose or the heels he had to wear but dressing properly as a supervisor was part of the job.

“You look great,” Joyce told Jimmy.

“Thank you, I have to dress up for my job.  I wish I could go back to the jumpsuits I used to wear when I just started out.  But when you make it to the top you have to look good.”

“Well, you certainly do,” Joyce agreed.

“If you think I look good now, you should see me when I'm doing a gig.  You should see us perform.”  Jimmy and two of his friends were in a “The Supremes” cover band.  Jimmy didn't play Diana Ross in the band.

“I know, I should,” Joyce agreed.  She had never seen Jimmy perform.  Not when she was in a Beatles cover band or when that changed (due to the Cheater's Stone a while back) to The Supremes.

“But my performing is nothing.  If you want to see some great performing, you should come down and see Dylan.  She is the lead cheerleader at her high school.  She is also taking ballet lessons too.  Maybe she'll be a professional ballerina or singer in a few years.  She is quite talented.”

“Dad,” Dylan whined while Jimmy was describing his daughter's talents.

“It's true.  I have great faith in you.  You can make it if you can just focus.”

“Jason,” Joyce told him confidentially, “we have to fix this.”

“Fix what?” Jason said with mock sincerity.

“You know what.  This...the way I am dressed and all the rest.”

“Well, it was a bet.  The only way to change it is to bet again double or nothing.”

“We don't have time for a game.  You have to get to school soon.”  Joyce had to follow all the bedtimes and morning stuff, but the bet didn't say anything about going to school.

“I have an idea.  Let's bet on whoever can finish their cereal the fastest.”

This seemed like a good bet to Joyce.  She was an adult with a bigger mouth, she would force herself to win then this would all be over.   “OK, it's a bet.  Double or nothing.”

“OK, let me see if you win.  Then it is all back to the way it was.  But if I win, then you have to go to school for me.”

“Go to school?  You mean to drive you to school?”

“No!  Go to school like I would have to and sit in class.”

“I can't do that.  I'm not a kid.”  (She didn't want to say little boy.)

“Well if you don't want to bet.”

“No, I'll bet.”

“OK, that is the first thing and I'll come up with a second thing later.”

“Second thing?”

“Yeah, two things.  You lost twice last night and this is double or nothing.”

“Whatever,” Joyce said exasperated.  She didn't think she was going to lose anyway so what was the difference. “It's a bet.”  Gulping food wasn't ladylike, but Joyce would make an exception just to return to normal.

Marcia had returned to the kitchen.  She was wearing only a shirt and nothing else.  She was going nakey as the family called it.  She had the modesty of a two-year-old and just loved to walk around without clothes on.  When home it wasn't unusual for her to remove her pants or her shirt at any time.  She just didn't care.  The family assumed she would grow out of it when she got older.  Marcia put cereal in the bowls of her three children and Joyce.  Then she poured the milk.  She poured the milk of Jason before Joyce, but Jason played fair and didn't start until they were both ready.

“One...Two...Three...GO!!!!” Jason shouted.  Both Jason and Joyce started to stuff cereal into their mouth.  Joyce picked up her bowl and started to drink the entire contents down without using a spoon.

“Joyce, what are you doing?” Marcia questioned.

“Eating,” Joyce said with her mouth stuffed, but she didn't stop scooping food into her mouth.

“I can see that.  But how do we eat at the table?”  Jason had had this argument many times with his mother.  The proper way to eat was to carefully spoon the food into your mouth and then chew it thoroughly with your mouth clothes until it was done.

Joyce had to stop what she was doing and 'eat properly'.  This took a lot of time.  She couldn't take big scoops of her cereal.  She had to put it carefully into her mouth and then close her mouth and chew the food thoroughly.  She couldn't put the next bite of food into her mouth until the last bite was swallowed.  All these steps might aid in her digestion but they slowed her down considerably.

Jason could still take shortcuts since he wasn't under any obligation to eat as Marcia demanded.  Jason won easily (as he knew he would) and didn't have to go to school that morning.  It would be Joyce who would have to go.  Jason could stay home with Marcia as Joyce had planned to originally.

Marcia cleaned all the dishes immediately after everyone was done.  She was obsessive when it came to housework.  She wasn't always this way.  Just like her newfound lack of modesty she had also made a bet or two using the Cheater's Stone.

Once breakfast was over, Jason gave Joyce his book bag and his lunchbox.  Joyce was still an adult and didn't need to be taken to school, she could drive herself.

"Hey Aunt Joyce, before you leave for school, let me take a picture of you and Sophia," Jason asked.

When it was time to leave, Joyce took her school supplies and went to her car.  She then drove the approximate half-mile to Jason's school.  She didn't want to do it, but as with everything else, the Cheater's Stone made her.

Jason who was still tired went back to bed.  He had only gotten up to see Joyce.  He wasn't even wearing his day clothes when he had made the bet.  He knew he would win.  He would think about the second part of the bet after he was up for the day.  He could sleep in until noon if he wanted to.

Joyce drove to the school.  She couldn't park in the school parking lot that was only for teachers and parents who were dropping off their children.  There wasn't a parking lot for students obviously as the oldest students were twelve and maybe an occasional thirteen-year-old, none of them drove cars to the school as was possible in high school.

Joyce found a spot on the street close to the school and walked the short distance. The school wasn't very far away from Marcia's home and she could have walked the entire way if she wanted to, but she didn't.  She had a car and she wanted to use it.

She walked straight onto school grounds and no one said a thing to her.  Then she entered the school and still, no one said a word.  Not the students nor the guards who were posted at the door.  She went in just like the rest of the students.  She walked the halls and none of the teachers she passed gave any notice to her being out of place.  By instinct, she arrived at Jason's fifth-grade classroom.

“Ah, we have been expecting you,” the teacher said.

“You have?”

“Yes, you are taking Jason's place today, aren't you?”

“I suppose I am.”

“I'm Mr. Kern.  What is your name?”

Mr. Kern was an eleven-year-old boy dressed in a business suit and a tie.  Even though he was the smallest boy in the room, he had the demeanor of a teacher who didn't take any monkey business from his students.  He ran a tight classroom.  All of his students were well behaved.  Whether Mr. Kern was the winner or the loser of a bet, only the Cheater's Stone knew.
