QUantum FIlament Transferance Part 5 (Patreon)
Content
Preface
Quantum Filaments, here afterward referred to as QUFITs instantly transfer characteristics between two individuals. First recorded in 2015 they recur annually. A previously unknown phenomenon they first appeared on October 31st in Denver, Colorado, United States at approximately 1610 hours local time. Just days ahead of the annual Leonid meteor showers, many amateur astronomers mistakenly claimed they were only part of a highly active cycle of meteor showers or the intense Aurora Borealis. For several days many governments around the world thought it better to allow that explanation to persist rather than admit this was a phenomenon that was unknown to current science and whose impact could not be predicted.
Humans are the only known life forms impacted by the QUFITs. Persons changed by an annual QUFIT fall appear to be wholly immune to any subsequent falls. The transference between individuals can be either physical or mental. The number of changes visited upon a person has ranged from one to eighteen individual "swaps".

*** Phone Message Chime ***
“You have got to see it, it's a meteor shower like I have never seen!”
Kyle Jackson, a divorced man of 34, saw the message from his friend Alex. Kyle was an ordinary man, six foot two, 210 pounds, trimmed beard and mustache, rich blue t-shirt, worn faded jeans, tan work shoes and a yellow hat.
“Take a picture and let me see.”
“It's better if you see it yourself.”
“I can see it from here?”
“I think so. I think the whole state can see it, if not half the country.”
“OK, I'll look. It was 7:00 on the east coast in late fall, The sky was already very dark. Looking up, Kyle saw what his friend was talking about. Multicolored shooting stars adorned the late evening sky. Alex was right. Kyle looked down at his phone ready to message him back.
Kyle discovered he wasn't outside anymore. He was in front of a large door. Clearly the door opened to the outside, as it was thick and had a lock on it. His hand was already on the knob.
“Go ahead, open it!” Kyle heard a soft feminine voice say behind him.
Kyle opened the door, outside was a white pony with a pink snout. On the pony's forehead was a pink cone that resembled a horn. The pony was dressed up to look like a unicorn.
There was a harness wrapped around the pony's head. A man was holding the mock unicorn in place.
“HAPPY BIRTHDAY!” the man with the pony and the woman behind Kyle shouted.
“Get on and your magic unicorn will take you to your birthday party.” the woman behind Kyle told him.
It wasn't night anymore. It was daytime where Kyle was.
Kyle looked around stunned. He felt a little push from behind urging him forward. He couldn't help but to step forward. He felt something brush his leg. Kyle looked back and saw the smiling face of a woman he had never seen before.
“Go ahead pet your unicorn. Today she belongs to you,” the woman said. Then to the man holding the reins, “Is she a girl?”
“Yes,” the unicorn handler confirmed.
Kyle's hand moved forward to pet the pony. His hand wasn't his hand. It was the small hand of a child. He pet the unicorn.
“Awe, so sweet. Smile for mommy!” a picture was taken.
Kyle finally looked down. He saw a pink taffeta skirt. His eyes rose and he was that the skirt was attached to a white floral bodice that extended to the top of his chest. His arms and shoulders were bare except for spaghetti straps.
“What's happening?”
“It's your birthday. We are going to your party. You'll ride your unicorn to your party! We are going to have so much fun!”
It was like a dream. Kyle was lifted into the air like a child and to be put on the unicorn. The skirt he was wearing was smoothed under him before he was set down.
“Put this on?”
The woman put a pink jacket over Kyle's bare shoulders. Then a wreath of flowers was put over the shoulders of the unicorn.
From out of nowhere, a woman appeared dressed as a princess with pastel pink, purple and white hair, a matching dress and a peach-colored shirt.
“Is this a dream?”
“No, I'm Queen Penelope and it's all real!” the woman with pastel hair told Kyle.
As the man led the pony down the street, Queen Penelope kept a hand on Kyle's shoulder, keeping his little body in the saddle. Kyle looked around, the woman, 'mommy' was trailing behind taking pictures.
Kyle didn't recognize the neighborhood. It looked very suburban.
The unicorn was led down the street to a house and then circled around it to the back yard. There were over a half dozen little girls waiting for Kyle. Their eyes grew wide when the say Kyle on the unicorn.
Kyle knew it was obviously a birthday party for a little girl. There was along decorated table in the backyard. Pink and white balloons were everywhere. There was a sign that said “MARLEY” in script letters. There were also balloons with “5” on it and other banners which said, “Happy Birthday”.
“One two three...HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARLEY,” everyone screamed.
Kyle didn't know what to do. Saying he wasn't Marley didn't seem like a good idea. Before he could do anything. He was lifted off the unicorn.
The other girls ran up to Kyle. They were about his size now. Apparently, Kyle was the five-year-old birthday girl “Marley”.
All the girls were directed to sit at the table. Kyle was at the head of the table of course. Queen Penelope was obviously the person in charge of organizing the party. She handed Kyle a sparkly drink with a light blue hue, and everyone toasted the birthday girl. Everyone lined up for unicorn fluff S'mores. Each girl got a pointy stick and a pink or light blue marshmallow. There was a lit log on a grill to toast the marshmallows and then they was placed between a graham cracker and a piece of chocolate.
Little girl games were played, and snacks were eaten. Kyle didn't smile, but he didn't make a stink either. He hadn't any clue what was really happening. It hadn't even dawned on him, that not only was he a child, but he was a girl where it counted.
Finally, Queen Penelope took Kyle aside. Queen Penelope held a wand and christened Kyle on both shoulders while holding a 'scroll' on a silk pillow. She put a tiara on Kyle's head and then got on one knee to read the scroll. Kyle stood stoically as the scroll was read.
“Today, on her special day all your dreams have come true. I dub thee. You will be known as Princess Marley all the rest days of your live. Signed by me, Queen Penelope.”
Kyle couldn't help himself, for the first time in over 30 years, Princess Marley, formerly Kyle Jackson cried.
Everyone cheered.
