Should I go with bright colors "YouTube" style or dramatic Khaleesi image?

BIG VIBES

"black dude with strong opinion about something" is definitely very clickable. especially juxtaposed with white "alpha male".

ObediahJellyFish

Khaleesi... but the graphic might need a bit of editing/clean up?

Days of Horror

Youtube style. The Khaleesi one feels more like a meme on Twitter.

Madeline Jacobson

Def the Khaleesi. Way more attention grabbing to me. Both look great!

sandapanda

I like the Khaleesi one, it makes me more curious about the video

BIG VIBES

Also I don't understand GOT – I know I am in the minority.

Geoff Heaven

My vote is for the first choice. I feel like the GoT image might seem a little 2019.

joe hobson

Khaleesi! i feel like her character never really got the critical consideration it deserved

T. Ryder

I agree with Geoff. I realized a while ago that I have zero interest in ever reading or watching Game of Thrones again. It was fine back in the day, but the moment has passed. Go with the bright colors.

Mountain Harpie

I think the first appeals (generally) to males, and the second more to females, although dudes do like hot chicks... The Khaleesi one has an element of click bait in the title... in a good way!! So, imho... keep the title of the second and switch out the pic to a more instantly recognized Khaleesi pic... like framed more around her face.. Then again, I suppose it all depends on who you are targeting most with the vid as well...

Mez Love

I like the first one, but I think it’s helpful to see your face when I’m scrolling through so I know not to miss it.

Austin New

Khaleesi's more direct and has better contrast and framing. YouTube style could get there but needs some work, maybe wear a shirt that contrasts better with your hair, there's a hole in the center that's just a green blob, and I have no idea where the titles going with that. Maybe like, why can't Hollywood get allies right, needs more details. Obviously I'd click either cause they're both yours but I'd click khaleesi's to watch first from your catalogue. Also if you could put your face over khaleesi one it'd probably be hilarious.

Jeff Buckner

Clint Eastwood one seems more “current” with his new movie coming out.

Lana

I feel like the second one would attract more eyeballs but idk.

Will E.

in terms of the algorithm, the first one

DrexFactor Poi

I like the thumbnail with you and Eastwood more. I can see both your faces, so it feels more personal. Plus which “why does hollywood keep doing this?” Better makes use of the curiosity gap.

Karis Turk

First one for sure. More relevant and personal

Margret Steele

Use the one that has your face in it! Your opinions are what sell the show. Brand recognition for sure

Sam

I prefer the one with your face in it, but I find the text a bit hard to read the way it’s positioned now

Kristi Y

First one (your face)

Shea Elliott

Bright colors "YouTube" style - has your face in it and has text that piques curiosity

LetsGoToya

The bright colored one. The GOT imagery is a bit outdated and I'm more intrigued by what shenanigans Hollywood is up to now and what it has to do with Clint Eastwood. Good luck picking!

Kora Orion

I agree with the first one! It definitely makes me more curious to find out what the video is about than the second

Wren (Integral)

I think the first one, it seems like it gets *your* identity out there far more than the second one.

Macdonny Saintil

The one with Eastwood in it. Seems like a cool thumbnail.

Cassandra Lovejoy

Depends on who you want to attract to your channel. The bright one is for movie buffs. The GOT one is white liberal clickbait. Though I'm not sure either really does justice to your content.

DoomSpartan

Kalesee seems more appropriate considering

Sydney Smith

I like the one with emilia clarke - no idea who the other guy is but I think i'm in the minority here

Isabel and David Stone

The bright one. I like that you look like you are going up against Eastwood.

Anna Peckinpah

The one with the green background and you vs. Eastwood

borkkorb

you and clint

Bee

I think the bright one is more classic youtube, but I actually really like the Khaleesi one. It seems more clear about what the vid is but also seems like it would get more clicks..? If you try both let us know how they did, it would be really interesting 😁

That Lana Lady

I'm team Clint on this one, but at no other time.

Alex Shaffer

The green one is definitely more standard YouTube, especially with the question. Also probably better for your own personal branding / visibility. However, the second one makes a bold statement and implies the question, and also feels more confident to me, since you don't put yourself on the thumbnail.

Lyza

I like the Khaleesi one better (to me I feel like the statement is more grabbing), but may I suggest just adding your face to it somewhere to help it with the YouTube algorithm overlord? Cheers <3

Graig Kent

Clint...but very interested in learning about how these two images/statements connect!

Jess

Khaleesi

Devoralyn Blackwood

I think the Khaleesi one. It conveys a clear concept of what (I assume, and look forward to watching!) the video is about :)

-D-

Khalessi. There's quite an oversaturation of the 'youtube' looking thumbnails on Breadtube
