You will miss a lot more references and nostalgic moments (Like Professor X, Captain Carter, Daredevil in No Way Home and so on), if you keep watching the movies and shows in kind of a random order. Especially Deadpool and wolverine will loos a lot of its charme if you skip too much imo. The whole of Marvel stuff all gets kinda merged together slowly.

Also if you want more multiverse/incursion stuff, you should watch what if. At least certain episodes. Its not my favorite personally, but some of the episodes are amazing and most people really like the show

Is Wanda the most powerful? Yes (aside from potentially one other new character that's introduced that you haven't watched yet). But yes, Wanda is by far the most powerful character we have in the MCU, her powers aren't magic...she manipulates reality. If she realized that concept, she could blink everyone on earth out of existence, she doesn't need an infinity gauntlet. If you go back and think about the last act of Endgame, when she squares up against Thanos (and this is a direct quote from Feige himself) Wanda at that point could have easily solo'd Thanos and he knows it, his eyes tell us that and he panics and tells his ship to rain fire...then we get Captain Mary Sue flying in to "save the day" lol. Wanda is the real powerhouse on the Avengers and it's not even up for debate.

I have a feeling Wanda will be in Doomsday, maybe not our version of Wanda but from another universe. In recent interviews Elizabeth says she knows nothing of Doomsday or Secret Wars, which I don't believe. She's too strong of a character to just kill off I mean she could’ve single-handedly killed thanos like nothing. They’ll need her for Doom.

Also why Bruce Campbell had a cameo in it( he was the main character in those Evil Dead movies). There is also a easter egg in the incursion world. 58:50 if you love alternate, slightly mind-bending stories then I’d reccomend you what if series. It’s marvel animated series with (I think?) questionable connection to mcu. Most episodes are stand alone type things, so it’s really easy to just stop watching the show once you grow tired of it. It’s the exact slight changes in stories that make huge impact, such as what if tchalla was star lord, what if peggy carter got the supersoldier serum instead of steve, what if thor was an only child, what if starlord joined his father to conquer universe, and so much more

Also...X-Men '97 needs to be fast tracked up the watch list obviously, not the old fox Xmen movies...'97 is the perfect introduction for him if he knows nothing about any of them, then Deadpool 1 and 2, Logan, Deadpool and Wolverine (only after Loki Season 2, I suppose)

i think deadpool and wolverine comes b4 loki season 2 as loki ends up taking over and keeping watch of the timeline. i could be wrong but it feels like thats how its supposed to go idk and also i think learning about logans story is an important leadup to logan but i wouldnt be sure where that would start. Obvioulsly origins would be first or maybe the reboot of xmen starting with first class idk

They’re kind of like the horror movie quintessentials, I grew up with them, but they were a few years before my time. But I am a huge fan of the horror genre and the Sam raimi stuff is classic. I’ve even met Bruce and he was really cool! But w he’s dealing with cancer so that sucks. But if you look at all the connections, the camera pans and music and style is very Raimi-esque. As a someone who loves horror this might be my top because it’s the only MCU horror movie save werewolf. You can see the spider man trilogy shots too, it’s very cool

Contrary to what ACTIONSALAD says below. In the first Post Credit scene, the woman in purple is actually Dormammu's niece, Clea Strange. Dormammu being the first villain Strange fought in his first video. (Dormammu!, I've come to bargain!) A powerful sorceress and key Marvel character. She is the daughter of Umar (Dormammu's sister). In comics, she is Doctor Strange’s wife, disciple, and eventually becomes the Sorcerer Supreme of the Dark Dimension.

I low key love this movie. Admittedly I wish that the writers paid attention to the storylines in Wandavision, but Elizabeth Olsen is just so fucking captivating as Wanda. And I love that they didn't compromise on how powerful she was, she was only defeated by her kids, and herself. Really hope you watch Agatha All Along, which is kind of chapter two to all this weirdness.

Honestly rewatching this with u Woolz, I’d have to say I enjoyed this movie way more than the first time I watched it.. I don’t remember it being this good, I do remember the corny moments like the musical fight but overall the movie was pretty good. I liked it better than the first strange movie but I do feel Scarlet Witch death wasn’t actually a death.. marvel has a way of lying to the audience through media and her death was confirmed through media which is a written rule that if you didn’t see it happen on screen then it didn’t happen.. we just seen a red blast but maybe I’m just in denial. I agree with the other commenters: watching "What If...?" isn't necessary for continuity/story reasons but if you love the multiverse (which you really seem to lol) you'd enjoy it! Episodes are pretty hit or miss but the ones that hit are really good.

This movie was supposed to set up Avengers: Kang Dynasty but the actor who played Kang lost his role and got blacklisted in Hollywood halting it which is why they came out with Doomsday instead. Kang Dynasty sets up Avengers Doomsday in the comics

RT/Metacritic and divided community opinions about its merits aside, your ‘contract’ with your audience is experiencing the MCU good or bad. More than that, you owe it to yourself to watch and make your own opinion about it. I just get so disheartened when reactors start on a journey then start pulling the “what do you think folks should i … skip/watch” card because what ends up happening is the vocal minority ends up being heard and then no one reacts to something that is absolutely ripe for reaction. Reactions to ‘bad’ media can often be as if not more entertaining than carbon-copy reactions to things that are generally liked. That’s just 2¢ for this month. Enjoy the remaining 98¢

Plese do Eternals. Movie is way greater than most think. it is new Lore, concepts, visuals are great, actors are great. The best speedster in Movie/ TV show ever shown, compared to The Flash or Quicksilver. and you can finish Loki Season 2. and after finishing MCU movies and shows. for sure you will need to watch all X men, Wolverine and Deadpool movies. Plus Spider man multiverse animations about Miles Morales, those are realy great. What If is optional for overall Marvel universe story, but it has great episodes. also there is shortest TV show ever about baby Groot. each episode is about 2-3 minutes just watch it on your own if you want, but would be great also to see your reaction. if you want later when you have time you also can watch old Fantastic 4 movies, you also can do it before Deadpool movies

Doctor Strange is my favorite Marvel hero. And Benedict Cumberbatch is my absolute favorite actor in the world. So I can not do anything else but LOVE this movie. And to be fair to Xochitl Gomez. She was just 16 here and this was her first BIG movie role. I saw nothing really wrong with her performance. And I am quite excited to see where they take her character moving forward.

That was fun! I love this movie. To answer some of your questions... That extra at the wedding that was pulling attention and doing way too much was a huge meme in the fandom when the movie came out. We noticed too, and it was hilarious. You can still find a few examples of them by searching things like 'Doctor Strange viral extra'. I loved it and am a big Sam Raimi fan (in addition to the Spiderman movies he also directs a lot of cult horror like Evil Dead and Army of Darkness), but I think a lot of people either weren't familiar with him or didn't put it together and didn't expect to see so much creepy, macabre horror imagery. People were on a Wanda high post Wandavision and a lot of them were really mad to see her take a villain turn. The Darkhold that she leaves Westview with is a really well known book in the lore, and it was mentioned a few times in both Wandavision and this movie that almost no one is able to keep from being corrupted by the dark power of it, but I don't think audiences that hadn't heard of it until now really put it together that Wanda didn't just randomly become evil, she was being corrupted by this ancient artifact. People were excited to see the popular fancast of John as Reed Richards, but I think it was immediately made bitter for them to see him absolutely demolished without ever having a moment to shine. Captain Carter also makes a lot of people mad for some reason. She shows up a lot in Marvel's cartoon What If? series and some people just hate it. I love her, so I was glad to see her realized and even hope we get to see her again. Hayley Atwell's so good <3 Oh yeah, and people were mad that America Chavez was in the movie at all. Marvel is well aware that their core cast is aging and they've been trying to soft launch young Avengers in projects with the OG's so it won't be super jarring (Kate Bishop in Hawkeye, Eli Bradley in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and there are some more coming up). There was a lot of time between Doctor Strange and 2 (7 years!) so his superfans were excited to see him in the spotlight and were bitter about having her cut into his screen time. Oh yeah, and I think the third-eye exists in some comic versons and is meant to signify that Strange doesn't just get to play around with the evil book that fully corrupted Wanda with no fallout at all, but I hope they soft retcon it or come up with a better special effect, cause it looks kinda silly .

Right? I feel like creators really can't win when it comes to introducing new, extremely powerful characters. People don't want to see re-hash heroes journey origin stories that all start to feel samey, but if you introduce them on the fly people gripe that their power doesn't feel 'earned'. Kind of silly.

Yes, 616 version of Wanda is dead. There is no redeeming that character. She's a murderer and tyrant. And anyone trying to justify her actions are just dumb. I think another Wanda will eventually be introduced.

She may of made the right decision in the end, but that doesn't erase the fact that she murdered a bunch of innocent people in 2 separate universes. And tried to kidnap a child so she could enslave the whole multiverse. That Wanda is gone, and good riddance.

1:39:00 This is Actually inside of Wanda’s 838 mind the Wanda under the rumble is from 838 and the Wanda who snapped Professor X head is the Wanda 616. When Charles said if he pulls her from under the rumble the spell will break, that meant that if he pulls her from out of there Wanda’s 616 dream walking would have broken.
