XMEN lets gooo!! Oh and about cylops, when his eyes are open the lasers come out without him being able to control it. The glasses and the visor help him be able t open his eyes and control when the lasers come out.

Ever since I gotten into the X-Men I actually love them more than The Avengers especially after watching the OG X-Men animated series that goes deeper into characters abilities, relationships, introduced to more types of mutants, different cool story arcs and what certain characters are more capable of. The movies does a cool way of showing everything they can but even after your done with all the X-Men related films the animated series is getting another renewed season later this year so if you wanna check out more X-Men stuff after the films, the animated series is on the shelf. I will say though checking out the X-Men movies now is such a good call especially the majority of them are even better compared to some films/shows your about to get into in the MCU's Multiverse Saga. Overall have fun with these films Woolz its good to see you finally getting into the X-Men side of Marvel!

Thors first appearance was in 1962, while storms was 1975. Also fun fact in the comics Captain America was the first person to be experimented on and was labeled weapon 1, while wolverine was weapon X(10) so the same part of the government that experimented on Captain America also did on Wolverine

Great! I'm here for some X-Men. The 2nd movie X-Men 2 is also known as X2. I don't know why everyone keeps saying watch X-Men Origins: Wolverine to learn more about Wolverine's back story, when you pretty much get your answers in X2. Origins just expands on the story. It's also very inconsistent with the story of the main trilogy. Keep in mind that these movies were produced by FOX and not Disney Marvel. This was long before Marvel Studios became a thing. Marvel was selling the rights of a bunch of their characters to movie studios to make movies back in the day. Hence why Sony has the movie rights to Spider-Man and anything related to the character. Disney just acquired a part of FOX so now Marvel has the movie rights to the X-Men and a bunch of other characters like Deadpool and the Fantastic Four. Do not hold the X-Men franchise to the same level as the MCU. There are a lot of continuity issues across the series. It really feels like they kept trying to soft reboot the series. Don't get me wrong, there are some absolute bangers. However, we also have some terrible movies as well. You be the judge. As for the origin story pertaining to the fallout between Professor X and Magneto, you'd have to watch X-Men: First Class. A really good movie. That comes after X3. Unless you choose to watch some of the Wolverine focused movies first. I was going to provide another fact about Magneto that has never been addressed in any of these movies for reasons, but then I realized that it's somewhat of a spoiler. It'll be sometime before you come across the right movie, so I guess I'll be patient and wait for it to provide an explanation that I'm sure will blow your mind.

Wolverine is one of the most famous comic characters of al time . . like Batman/Spiderman/Superman . . just well known . . he was born with a healing factor, strength, and bone claws. . . eventually he was captured and pumped full of Adamantium (space metal stronger than Vibranium, however Vibranium is Kinetic) The metal bonded to his skeleton. In the Comics Wolverine is 5'4" and weighs 300 lbs from the metal. I hope this very watered down basic info helps lol

I remember seeing this as a kid but watching it now as an adult it is so good. I used ro watch the cartoon and my favorite characters were Rogue and Gambit. But when they cast a kid as rogue for the movie, I was a little disappointed. So of course, my favorites shifted and I loved Wolverine, of course, and Storm.

IF these questions have been answered already, I apologize. Cyclops uses the visor to focus the beams coming out of his eyes 24/7. He can't stop them without the visor or glasses.

Marvel has a tendency to give some characters a critical weakness to go along with their abilities. Cyclops for example cannot stop the beams unless he closes his eyes or uses the visor/glasses.

I remember this in theatres, but to really get the gravity of prof. X's multiverse appearance, you had to see the xmen cartoon because that was his wheelchair. Still, this was the 1st time on screen live action. On the opening (badly needed context): It was Eric (Magneto’s youth) spent in the Holocaust, the scene was him being separated from his parents. The stress triggered his genetic mutation (you’ll get a lot more info on that when you watch Deadpool, can’t fucking wait) -This series has its ups and downs across the years but it’s pretty incredible, the first class series isn’t so much my speed but it has a purpose. Knowing your taste in Marvel this will really do it for ya. -On Logan? You thought Endgame and No Way Home was devastating? This one will absolutely rip your heart out. It’s so hard to see Logan in the place he’s at in that film. There’s a lot to unpack. -One more thing is Congrats on moving into a new crib. Hey Woolz, if you end up watching "The Wolverine" please watch the Extended Cut, not the theatrical. I promise you, the Extended Version is 100% better. Because even in the movie where its revealed its still not clearly stated that Victor is Sabertooth, he looks and sounds different and most viewers assumed he was a new character. Chances are Woolz wouldve assumed the same 🤷 plus its not like its a spoiler at all considering the only movie where that matters reveals it in the first 5 min.

Ummm Cyclops can't open his eyes or the most DESTRUCTIVE FIRE comes out and destroys whatever it hits, that's why Professor X made his special "glasses" so he can somewhat control how much power he can use (you saw him turn the dial down when he shot a little fire beam out to break off the suffocating mask off of Jean Gray). At the bank you saw Toad remove his glasses and Cyclops almost destroyed the whole bank!!!!

Oh man... I feel so old XD in the 90's we grew up on the X-Men comics, and we were also steeped in Holocaust media like Schindler's List and Life is Beautiful. The opening is Nazi's sorting people at a concentration camp. Magneto was being separated out to do physical labor, while his mother was being pushed on towards the building with the big smokestack billowing with smoke... they didn't know the specifics yet, but they all knew when people go into those buildings they don't come back out.

I can't see if anyone else has said it but Cyclops doesn't shoot lazers. Its weird, his eyes are portals to the Punch dimension and he is actually releasing the punches from that dimension when he opens his eyes.

this is not MCU - there are prequels and spin offs/solo movies for the backstories - Cyclops has the goggles so he can control his beam, otherwise he's using it 24/7 if he doesn't close his eyes - Storm controls more the weather instead of just lightning how do you not know THE Ian Mckellen
