If you're using OBS I recommend recording in MKV from now on, because if obs suddenly stops or whatever it doesn't corrupt the file, it just auto saves where it cut off

Wait, I also had that power outage and it completely corrupted my Slay the Spire 2 run and i have to start from zero o.O I hope you get your files back since this is a really really great series. Also, i think now that you're expanding into big movies and tv show reactions that are "first and only takes" for true reaction, vs your previous casual gameplay streaming, it may benefit to have 1 of 2 things: 1- double setup of cameras next to eachother. 2- setup your cameras to not be directly plugged into your wall or computer (if it's dying too fast), but to have it on a separate UPS power support for hours with short circuilt protection so that you can protect your recordings to properly save if power outage :)

Hope you can recover it, but I fully suggest getting a UPS for situations like this, just to give enough time to stop the recording and turn off the PC to prevent data corruption. This helps whether it for Work, Editing, Recording and potentially Streaming. Hope everything is saved ๐Ÿ™ It would suck to lose the first genuine reaction to the parts you already watched on such a banger of a movie.

FYI its fairly cheap in the grand scheme of things to buy a UPS (battery backup) to give you enough time to save and close out of stuff in the case of a power outage.

Yoo Woolz! Just in case you didn't know, within most recording software you can use the MKV recording format which will prevent this exact thing from happening. You can then redux the file to instantly convert it to MP4. I'm sure you have a good method down but I figured I'd mention it. Good luck ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘
