0:40 that you've seen, yes. Ever? No. I think the Blade movies were rated R, but I haven't seen them. But Deadpool *had* to be rated R. That's what a faithful adaptation of Deadpool would be. I think you understood why by the end of the movie = D Also why Logan is rated R. They were too scared that a rated R superhero movie wouldn't be as popular, but Deadpool became a sensation. So now they finally could do more explicit movies. Also fun fact, in Quebec the Deadpool movies aren't rated R but 13+ 😂

15:31 what you need to know about the Fox X-Men universe is that there is no continuity, not really. It's technically in the same universe of the OG movies, but also not? They're like doing their own things mostly. And when you'll get to the soft-reboot/prequel ones it's gonna be even more of a mess. Hopefully the MCU!X-Men will do a better job at it.

Woolz, we all experienced these is release order. if you stick to release order you wont need to worry about what is required before what. A release order implies the audience has experienced the content already released, therefore they will show references and develop stories in that order. it really is just so much easier to watch things as they were released.

I don't fully understand why the comments are complaining about him watching this before Origins, of all the Marvel and X-men Movies, THIS movie has the least impact to the watch order. It could be so much worse and this is barely an issue aside from missing some X-men references, BUT he has to watch the other X-men Movies before going on to Deadpool 2, and many more before Deadpool and Wolverine.

For example Colossus was in Russia for more of his life in the version of the universe Deadpool is in but in the movie universe you have watched so far that Colossus spent most if his life in America

Deadpool and the X-Men take place in different universes. The comics have MANY alternate timelines, so the MCU is the 616 timeline, and these are the 10005 (I think) timeline, but I assume they are going to merge in the near future. Please be sure to watch at minimum Wolverine Origins and Logan before moving on to 2 and 3. But it wouldn't hurt to watch the remaining X-men movies before the sequels too. Also, maybe I'm a hater, but just my opinion you can totally skip 'The Wolverine' movie because it fuckin' blows, that might be an unpopular opinion but I'm just throwing it out there lmao. Or maybe watch it and decide for yourself (but don't say I didn't warn you).

Rewatching this now after so long and the other two… I can see what he’s talking about… 😂 But yes! At the time, Deadpool was never gonna be a thing. Ryan Reynolds was mentioned in the comic years ago as who he wanted to play him , basically… and Ryan Reynolds was a huge fan… and he begged to get Deadpool on screen… that’s when origins came out and that Deadpool pissed so many people off… that it got shelved for YEARS… then the car fight scene got leaked randomly… and fans freaked out, not having expected it… and that was enough to get the studio to green light it. It was a first time director, I think…? I don’t remember all the details but… they threw everything they had into this movie… which I think is why they had SO many jokes… like PLEASE love Deadpool. 😂 and then everyone did… and yeah… I personally think the movies get much better~ Correct me if anything I said was wrong, my memory’s fuzzy on it.

The X-men timeline is so messed up its hard to keep track, ALSO SUPER COOL MOMENT at the beginning of the flashback when wade is walking in the Bar and he taps Buck on the shoulder and he says the name "Liefeld" he walks pass them both and thats the guy who created deadpool!!! ALSO ALSO Deadpool isnt a mutant, he is technically a mutate he was enhanced by external Weapon X experiments using Wolverine’s DNA and because his healing factor was artificially grafted, not inherited

unfortunately im kind of mad at your rating but i also think its because you dont know who deadpool is or even understand him as a character. i think you need to do a little research on deadpool to fully grasp why he is the way he is. He is a fourth wall breaking character and that will not change. if your not a fan of it then i would not continue the deadpool series. I loved the reaction though, some of the faces you made to certain scenes was absolutely hilarious. 8/10 reaction due to not understanding the little easter eggs that were placed throughout the entire movie for instance his weapon 11 figure or the nod to the taken movies and honestly a 8.8/10 movie not a 7.9/10

1:54:46 actually no, they had no idea how the movie would do so I don't think much was planned after this. If you end up watching Wolverine Origins you'll see. Fans hated how Deadpool was adapted in that movie. And Ryan Reynolds pushed a lot for it to happen. He even "leaked" a test footage for a Deadpool movie which started the hype and that's how this movie managed to happen. But it was pretty much a fab-film made by Ryan Reynolds, it was very low budget.

It’s funny because this movie originally wasn’t gonna release, but Ryan Reynolds loved the Deadpool character so much so he leaked a screen test of the opening fight scene online and then everyone wanted the movie released so they did.

I understand how the 4th wall breaking can be a lil off, but please keep in mind that 4th wall breaking is one of his powers. Even in the comic books he would jump in between the panels on the pages and talk to the reader. Not to mention in the comic books in 2004, Deadpool described his appearance as "like a cross between Ryan Reynolds and a shar-pei." Which turned into the movie's Deadpool saying he "looks like he got bit by a radioactive shar-pei." But yeah, Deadpool is a pretty powerful character, cosmically powerful, he had death romantic relationship with death, which Thanos always simped for. He's not only aware that he's immortal because of the experiment, he's aware he has plot armor because he's a comic book character. Also the reason this movie is so well received, is because the character had been done dirty in the past. People hated it, and it put a pause on the character in movies, until test footage of this movie was leaked and the fans basically pushed the studio into making the movie, which turned out to be a wild success. BTW the marketing about the movie at the time was as much part of this movies experience as it was to watch the actual movie. That's why people are hating in the comments, cus you ain't watch the trash version that nobody liked to begin with. 🤦🏿‍♂️💀 But I do encourage you to finish the X-Men movies before the next Deadpool one. It came out at the end of the fox universe before it was bought by Disney, and is full of spoilers for everything that came before it, especially the 3rd Deadpool movie.

I am so excited to see Woolz reaction to this movie. I love this movie. I’ll never forget when I went to go see this movie in the theater when it came out. It was Valentine’s Day, I was single, so I treated myself to a ME date. I went to the spa in the morning. Then went to go see Deadpool by myself in the afternoon. It was awesome because I didn’t have to share my popcorn. And then I treated myself to an amazing dinner out. Even with the restaurants all packed, it was easy to find a seat for one person!!

and yet i knew when i saw it and it was like oh... cool little cameo.. but just rewatching those scenes on youtube they kinda are pretty meh. its only really cool once i guess. and if you miss it you miss it. but thats like every single line in this film. he never would have understood the MacAvoy or Stewart line even if he did actually hear it. Dont think he even knows Patrick Stewart as anything other than X. and the reference to the school blowing up. This movie is just full of easter egg lines that don't really mean anything to the boring plot. The jokes are funny half the time. The action is great. But if were actually being honest? This story is pretty boring and MID tier at best. Francis being the "big bad"? yawn... but then again most of the super hero movie villains are rather dull. I think because they dont have the time to flesh out a story in a 2-3 hour film. Theres 34.5 hours of Dare Devil on Netflix alone. people miss a lot during reactions because they are trying to react. while some people hate the pause its kinda nice so he can get double takes on stuff. but its still a lot to take in at once. hes not like us nerds who have seen stuff so many times that we can pull out every frame.. like when darth vader kills obiwan on the death star and the blast doors are closing on him and they cut to the wide shot how his light saber is white because they forgot to color it in post as that battle was over they werent really thinking about his saber.. cant remember if they fixed that in the special edition releases in the 90s or if it was the disney remasters. or like the storm tropper hitting his head on the door frame because bro was too tall. if i recall didnt have a sfx in the original but they added a sound in the special editions.

I don't mind when a reactor watches with subtitles because I'm already very familiar with the movie by that point, so go nuts. But for me personally, I can't stand them when watching for the first time. I just hate when the subtitles and dialog don't actually match.

The whole MCU, X-Men thing... Fox owned the rights to all X-Men movies, and that includes Deadpool because he's a mutant. Marvel Studios, later bought by Disney owns the regular MCU movies - (Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Avengers, etc.) - Eventually, Disney bought Fox and so the X-Men rights transferred over to Disney via their acquisition of Marvel. This was made before Disney bought Fox. So was Deadpool 2. Disney bought Fox while WandaVision was releasing and Deadpool 3 is after that. From the point of the Fox acquisition there have been MANY hints/teases of incorporating the Fox movies into the MCU in some way. Deadpool 3 is pretty much them telling the audience what to expect going forward on that front. That's not spoilers for DP3, btw, just a general outline, you still have no idea what's coming even if you read this.

One of Deadpool's mutant abilities is actually "Hyper Awareness"...breaking the 4th wall is a core function of his powers, there are actually a few Marvel characters with this ability. I will forgive you calling it a parody repeatedly because coming into this movie with absolutely zero knowledge of the character could be alot to digest...I believe this is one of the only movie franchises in existence that has gotten better with every single sequel...2 is better than 1, and Deadpool and Wolverine is better than 2.

It's a one off movie, they aren't related in any way other than name and the actor that played him. The only good thing about Origins is they messed the character up so horribly, it lit a fire in Reynolds to get a real Deadpool movie made.

God how glad I am that you watched this movie but I agree with the rest of the comments before you watch two you should watch the other X-Men movies and before you watch three ( DP&W) you should watch Logan. This is one of my favorite superheroes and the way they portrayed him in live action was legendary. Can’t wait to see your reactions to the rest of the DP movies.

Hey, glad you finally watched deadpool, has to be my favorite marvel movie. I hope you stick with it and watch the rest. I encourage you to look up what it took for this movie to get made (because it was a passion project for ryan reynolds and he plays the character perfectly. Also maybe look up some deadpool comics and you'll see how on brand the movies are)
