Ok so I got confused as to WHEN Logan started going b y "Logan" so I looked it up: "James Howlett is the birth name of the Wolverine. In the Marvel Comics canon, James was born in the late 19th century in Cold Lake, Alberta, Canada, where Elizabeth and John Howlett raised him. However, it turned out later that his biological father was Thomas Logan, the Howlett’s groundkeeper. James’ mutant powers manifested when Thomas killed John in cold blood, and James attacked and killed Thomas with his claws in retaliation. After that, James escaped and, to hide his identity adopted the name Logan, which he kept all the way to the 21st century."

Fun fact, when I was 16 my first job was at a movie theatre and this came out. The director shot 3 different endings, 2 in digital and one in 35mm. The first night of showing this movie I brain wrapped the movie trying to splice it. Fortunately no one came to see it that weekend because there was a local festival going on and the theatre was empty save 2 people. We had to give their money back so maybe that’s why I didn’t care for this movie. On rewatch though? Not bad at all! Great movie night man!

i remember the first time i saw this it was via a screener that had some missing cgi. so i excused the awful claw cgi as just being a rough version. i will still stand by the opinion that some of those scenes like in the bathroom were mock ups and they either forgot to replace them or just ran out of time so called it good enough. i guess in the original 3 xmen films they were mostly practical props which is why they looked so much better. but they are a hot mess in this film. wildly inconsistent in size and look. ironically despite the bad cgi patrick stewart i think his mouth when talking looks more believable than the cgi luke a few years ago with the mandalorian lol.

Adamantium is an alloy made from steel and Vibranium. Editing cause I looked into it more, apparently caps shield in the comics is made of “proto adamantium” which is the alloy with vibranium, but wolverines skeleton was made from a pure form of adamantium. I had the two mixed up

Actually, The Wolverine does connect to DOFP because of the post credit scene. Apocalypse and Dark Phoenix(especially Dark Phoenix) he could skip. I mean, it wouldn't hurt to watch Apocalypse but NOT watching Dark Phoenix is a necessity

Logan resisted his animal side to be more human, Victor embraced his animal side and basically devolved into what you see in the first X-Men. He doesn't remember his past either. he's everything Stryker wanted to turn Wolverine into.

Just FYI... if you move on to the n3xt Wolverine movie, you need to sort of treat it as sort of a standalone, independent film. It doesn't really fit into much of the other X-Men universe very well and may not make any sense continuity wise... especially the post credits scene.

Woolz! Before you see the new Spiderman movie you need to know at least who Frank Castle is! lol, you won't regret it bro.. Continue quickly through Daredevil season 2 and Punisher. As far as movies though you are fine, the newer Xmen movies are even better and btw you MUST watch Logan before getting to Deadpool and Wolverine.

A lot of comic book readers seem to think there is a close correlation with Adamantium and Vibranium. Which kind of makes sense. Both came from meteors and ended up in Africa. I don't think it's ever been confirmed but it just makes sense. Parts of the meteor could have broke off in Wakanda they found mostly Vibranium, that had magical properties and allowed it to germinate and start growing flowers like the "Heart Shaped Herb". But in parts just outside Lagos, Nigeria different fragments of the meteor could have broke off, which was mostly Adamantium, which has less magical properties but is a much stronger metal.

Zeeko or someone, get this message to Woolz please. When you get to "The Wolverine (2013)" PLEASE watch the extended cut. It's 100% better and more violent than the regular theatrical cut. And when you get to X-Men: Days of Future Past, watch "The Rogue Cut" which is the extended edition. Same goes for: Deadpool 2: The Super Cut. This is very important stuff. ALWAYS watch the extended or unrated/super r-rated cuts to get the full story.
