Jody. I saw this. Looks like they have finally posted everyone’s positions in the military: 7 BTS members in separate units: RM: special elite troops Jin: 5th division sergeant Suga: civil service Jhope: assistant instructor at Basic Training Center (Corporal) Jimin: Military Fire Direction center / artillery brain (have to be a god of math), directing cannon fire, establishing fire plans and commands related to cannons. Prestigious I guess, he did get the best trainee in boot camp award too. Taehyung: SDT (special duty military police) Jungkook: cook/support batallion (soldiers said one of the most physically demanding jobs) and he does love to cook. He was really getting into it during his lives the last year.

Why show Dynamite to someone who likes hip-hop when BTS have so many great hip-hop tracks? Dynamite is not even BTS typical sound. 🙄

It’s fun right. I have a couple people who are slowly coming on board and a guy got hired at work and when he saw my Bts funko pops he gave me the Korean heart and he was listening to fire on his headphones! I was so happy, he speaks my Bts language. Til now there has been a lady whose daughter likes Stray Kids and another woman who was so snooty saying she only listens to Exo and I said that’s cool, I like Bts and she literally rolled her eyes, like it’s not the same. I don’t want to speak generally but every Exo fan I have talked has been a little mean. It’s dumb because the guys in both groups are always nice to eachother. I just think it’s easier for me to only invest my time and money into one group, and you know, Bts is my jam.

RM actually does a lot of the writing of the lyrics with others of course. RM, Suga, and J-Hope write their own raps and Suga produces on a ton of the tracks. All three are full members of the Korean Music Copyright Association. This week JK also got a full membership based on some of the songs he wrote. 💜

I like your friend so far! Glad he enjoyed Dynamite. I'm well aware you fell for Jimin in this one, Jody, so... it's just natural that you show your fav to Marvin X-files. True, as others said, this is not written by BTS. They had the intention to make ARMY feel better during the pandemic with a poppy, fun, feel good song and they were looking for an English language one. The American writers submitted their song and BTS chose it to release. It blew up worldwide and earned them the Grammy nomination, so this is really one of their most known songs.

BTS named their fans A.R.M.Y. that stands for Adorable Representative MCs for Youth. Because it means both individuals and a mass, the word is used both in singular and plural: ARMY can mean the whole fanbase, but one person can also be 'an' ARMY. The fun thing to me is that they already named their fans A.R.M.Y. when they just released their first album, so around 2013, when they did not have a ton of fans, but feels like they predicted the massive fan base they have now, which truly feels like an army. ARMY is indeed very protective of BTS, that I believe comes from the fact that BTS has received a lot of hate and negativity. BTS in the early years had a logo of a shield (Bangtan=Bulletproof) and ARMY has also been a shield of protection for the band. However, never an inch of hate or negativity have I detected from BTS, so to me true ARMY is who protects BTS not by 'coming for' people, but being positive toward others and new fans of BTS, kindly (!) correcting misinformation and overall supporting all 7 members.

Maybe since he likes more of the like hip-hop/rap stuff maybe show him more of the rap lines stuff like the Cypher series, ddaeng, ugh etc. And even some of the groups more hip hop kinda songs like mic drop, run etc maybe he'll enjoy them 🫰🏻💜

Lol yea my husband was so confused why the early years merch and images had the flak jackets. ARMY makes perfect sense to me. Kpop loves to officially name their fandoms, even if the group isn’t big time yet. In western music, the fandom names grow more organically and usually only happens if it’s a giant fanbase.

They all write their music. RM writes the most. Then suga and Jhope. Than the vocal line. The English songs they didn't write. But majority of every BTS songs are written by the group. And like 2-3 other producers/rappers. One them was actually gonna be in BTS but decided not to be in the group. So these 2-3 guys been with the group since the beginning. Suga produces the majority of songs. 💜💜

ARMY being the fanbase name makes perfect sence if you know the meaning behind the name bts and army. They are both acronyms. Army = Adorable Represetative Mc for Youth. Bts = BangTan Sonyeondan (Bulletproof boy scouts). Both names have deeper meanings that the members have explained before, you can find it on YouTube if you are more curious about it.

You guys are the only people that I support on Patreon because I love how real and uncut your reactions are and I hope it never changes. I dont ever expect people to LOVE every single song that BTS comes out with because that it truly unrealistic to me.
