you have to get their membership for a chance at floor seats ..then its like a raffle ..they send u a code to enter for early access even then u still get queued ..idk what day u r watching but i went to the 4th day and i got floor seats barricade but by corner stage..i was in the queue for less than a minute..it was VIP gold which is 500 then silver is 400 an so on to less..tickets go quick...if its more than that its resellers

I hope you guys leave the captions on for the next part because they talk in Korean during song sometimes and you will miss it if you don’t have them on. They also talk in Korean during some of there speeches but you will be able to pause and turn them on then so I’m not to worried about those. Just what you will miss during the songs. I understand you want to guess but I do feel like you miss some stuff when you have it on because you will be more focused on guessing than watching the performance especially if it’s a song you guys have not heard yet. Not hate just my opinion so you can have the best experience. Love your guys reactions!! 💜💜

I paid $545 for front vip floor seat tickets and that’s with tax and everything. VIP we basically got a little baggie with gifts and we got to see bts during their sound check. I need to brag that I managed to grab that ticket after only being a fan of them for TWO MONTHS. Shoutout to 2022 me for making bad financial decisions!!

i went to sofi bts concert day 4 it was dec 2, 2021 ...I recorded the concert cus i wanted to see it again and really let it sink in that i was there and saw them physically..it was hard cus its like u have to see concert tru your phone..i would try to see and my hand would wonder off and i be recording nothing lol so i had to be lookin at my phone..idk how some youtube channels record so perfectly .. i was moving so much cus id be dancing lol.. i have videos up on my youtube channel of the concert...i was moving too much and singing ugly and screamin..yea and i wanted to flex that i saw them!! nothing wrong with that LOL

Hard agree on the members not wanting to learn English. They’re grown rich men who have high discipline — anything they want to do they CAN. And I honestly don’t care if they stay at a basic level of English lol the fandom has hardworking translators for us to consume their Korean content About Jungkook’s Golden album: Jk said that Rm nicknamed him “The Golden Maknae” (maknae = the youngest, so basically calling jk a golden child). That’s where he got inspiration for the title! Rm had nothing to do with the actual songwriting :) I really hope yall keep the English captions on for the next parts! Jody THANK for this reaction!! 💜 Not many reactors dedicate their time to see these concerts and they really worth it. PTD shows was AMAZING and exciting because was they first shows post pandemic in 2021. I had the blessing to go to 3 of their shows after in Las Vegas (Borahaegas) and it has been a life-changing experience... Can´t wait to see part 2 :) The song "MONEY" is "Blood, sweat & tears" and Life goes on" was the video in their apartment, you was right, for me it's so fun to see your discussions about things that in many ocassions both are wrong :P Hugs from Panamá!

The song Blue and Grey where they are facing the mirrors and wearing blue jackets is a song V wrote about his depression 😢🤍 it was supposed to be for his mixtape but the members loved the song/ thought it was beautiful so he said it can go on the BTS album so the rap line just wrote their rap parts to add on.

Mahni means more or a lot which is kind of like money and since it kind of sounds like money, it’s a good example of how they are clever when they use Korean words that are similar to English, that sound alike. Also, it sounds familiar to English speakers so it’s easy to like it even if you don’t know what it means. 💕

halsey did perform with bts at one of their las vegas concerts! she was there in the audience for la but didnt perform. megan (thee stallion) did tho! i forget which night it was but she performed the butter remix. also, yoongi brought out halsey for his solo concert in la and they performed ‘sugas interlude’ which is a song on halseys album. yoongi and halsey have a couple songs together and are suuuuuuuuper close friends

Personally if I was able to go to a BTS concert I’m recording as much as possible and I’m rewatching that for years! I definitely understand the sentiment tho I also hate taking tons of pictures and vids when I go places; I rarely post on social media. I prefer to enjoy the moments like you; when I take pics they pretty much live on my phone and I show em to ppl in my daily life. But I’m 38 now and there’s definitely stuff I wish I took more photos of to look back on.☹️ So it’s actually a resolution of mine to document more even if I’m not posting it and it just lives on my phone/drive.

So, I was there at the LA concert and I was on the floor. Honestly, I'm short and the stage was elevated so between seeing over the tall people in front of me and the high stage, often times looking at my phone was the best way to see what was going on. I never post anything to social media. I only keep the videos for my own memories. Those LA and Vegas concerts were the most joyful concerts I've been to. I'll keep those memories forever in my heart.

E-man was right! This was actually at the end of 2021. The pandemic stopped them from performing so it was the first time they were able to do the song "On" in front of Army. Also, Life Goes On was really special cuz it was a wish fulfilled for them to perform again in front of the fans. This was so much fun. I enjoyed watching you get the songs wrong/right. 😂 Also wanted to let you know V wrote the song Blue and Grey. You talk a lot about how he changed. The song talks about depression which I feel he had for a stretch there. And, ya you got the English speaking convo right. I think it's a priority for some and not for others for their own reasons.

Long ass comment coming. You guys say that they should learn English. They are all learning English, don't be mistaken. K-pop lyrics are both in Korean and English. Titles, choruses, key lines are written in English, sometimes (as Linda said above) they use words that sound English, it's a play on the language and because yes, it is a global language and they do want their songs to be sung by ARMY all over the world. They have significant passive knowledge in English. When you learn a language, the most difficult part is speaking. I actually applaud BTS members for their confidence in speaking a language they are not fluent in and they overcome any embarrassment to be able to communicate. When learning English, pronunciation can be challenging for them for two reasons: English does not write sounds, hence the spelling can be very confusing. Second, some languages have a hard time actually pronouncing sounds. I'll give you an example for BTS: When they sing the lines 'fake love' or 'you can't stop me loving myself', they will pronounce love as lob! (You can even see Jin and Jimin clearly saying b instead of v in the music videos, it's cute :D) It's because Korean does not have the 'v' sound. When they say Taehyung's stage name, they often say 'bwi'! So far what I saw from different videos is that they mostly learned by listening. They learned phrases, they remembered lines etc. However, since they are taking lessons, they are being taught differently and they are more and more able to understand the structure and say what they actually want to say. It takes time to learn; to get to intermediate (conversational) level is about 1.5-2 years if you take lessons twice a week. Butter, Dynamite and PTD were written by US composers and lyricists. All three songs were 1. deliberately intended for international audiences (pandemic, UN appearances, UNICEF etc.) 2. were written for the US specifically. I heard BTS expressing the wish to take on the US market and get to US award shows, especially the Grammys. You know which songs were top on Billboard, and which were nominated for Grammys... The above 3. They were absolutely aware that the US would want English language songs. They do Japanese albums, i.e. Japanese language versions of their songs, because Japan is a huge market and they are avid K-pop consumers, so BTS caters for that. In all honesty, I don't really like that. I think it's about PR and money. Korean is their native tongue. Even if they learn English, it takes a long time to think and write lyrics in English. Since they write their own songs and lyrics, the language they can express themselves perfectly is Korean. Even if they write titles, lines, or some chorus in English. They did not write the English language songs themselves. I'm doubtful they would make full English albums, unless they do the same as the Japanese ones. Of course, time could prove me wrong. Jungkook didn't write the songs for Golden, he had several songwriters collaborating (Ed Sheeran, Shawn Mendes and many more), none Korean, because JK wanted to showcase different genres on Golden. I can't speak for him, but you may be right, Jody, JK perhaps feels like singing in English helps him achieve his goals. They received the Order of Cultural Merit (5th rank, Flower crown), as they have contributed to spreading Korean culture and language to other countries. It's true that people all over the world started to study Korean because of BTS. Korean was the 7th most learned language on the Duolingo app in 2023. If they suddenly started to make English albums, what would that mean to their achievement? That's a poetic question, but I'd say it would appear like they could give back their order... I don't mind that they sing in Korean and I have to either learn the language or resort to translations to English. I think the diversity of languages is a wonderful thing that we should keep in music as well.

1 in 5 people in the world speak English, which is a lot but, ITunes has 167 countries on the charts but only about 87 have English as the official language. When learning any language, you lose it if you don’t speak it every day. They just haven’t had time. RM learned earlier than they started. They did take English in school, that’s why they can read it, they retained that very well, they don’t always know what it means. I think they understand more than they let on because they don’t want to say the wrong thing. Also you mentioned having to know the language if you want to do concerts in other countries, that’s not true. Many artists perform in Korea, and they don’t sing in Korean. SK loves seeing American artists and don’t demand they learn Korean to play there. They also buy and support American music and artists. If BTS does an English song, I’m happy but they are doing well all over the world singing in their language and that was a goal they had early on. Even at Wembley, they sang in Korean and the audience sang in Korean with them. Shakira kept her Spanish songs and toured the whole world. I think the US can be a little snooty about being the default language of the world, and we aren’t the center of the Universe. When BTS has a #1 on iTunes, it’s usually #1 in like 120 countries and they don’t all speak English. I don’t know why I needed to say all that :)

I went to a TXT concert and took many videos that I plan to keep for my own eyes to reminisce with my friends and share with those close who I wish to experience even a smidget of the fun concert. Also, I'll say that most people don't have a public social media account, so they just wish to share their experiences. Also, I believe that E-man is relatively positive in mindest and I agree with him and Jody, I feel, tends to take the negative approach. Then again, I am young and have never lived without some form of technology, so I, in some ways, am biased.

Ok the only reason you thought of 'Spring Day' when 'Life Goes On' started playing is cos you watched a dance practice video that was incorrectly labelled as a dance practice for 'Life Goes On' but it was actually the 'Spring Day' dance practice with the 'Life Goes On' song played over it. I don't know why they haven't taken that down or corrected it. But yes, you were describing the right MV for 'Life Goes On' with them in the apartment during COVID. They're old concerts from 2014, 2017 and 2019. It's ARMY's and BTS' birthday, so one of the activities BTS organised is free streaming on Youtube and Weverse of old concerts. The idea is that ARMY can have fun having an online concert party together! They've done this several years now. It'll be like 24 hours roll, with breaks in between. So I don't think it's for a reaction, but you can still join the watch party yourselves if you come across it. It'll probably pop up on Youtube, so now you know what it is.

I agree Linda, it’s weird as England is where the English language came from. But we have a multicultural society here on our little island and have lots of different languages from the world spoken. BTS hasn’t had to sing in English to get where they are, so why would they need to learn it. Makes you wonder how many other big artists today could get where BTS are when singing in a very minority language? It’s amazing really as BTS Army is a global family, again that’s what makes us special.

If I was to go to a bts I would wanna record stuff cause I wanna keep memories so I can rewatch them back but at the end of the day I’m only 16 so I have grew up on phones and technology but I can understand where you guys are coming from like why go to a concert if you just gonna watch them through your phone like maybe take a couple photos and videos but also try and have some fun instead of on your phone all the time I saw a video of this woman at another K-pop band concert and she was watching YouTube on her phone while at the concert and I was like why spend all that money if your not even going to watch the show.

They are 17 hrs ahead of us so It’s 06/08 12pm Korea time. So Fri 06/07 7pm our time. They are older concerts. Red Bullet was their first bigger tour, but still small at that time. The Wings tour was epic. The third one you have on dvd, but they don’t usually stream any of these for free. Approx 2.5 hrs. You can buy certain performances and watch on Weverse only, or buy the dvd set if you can get your hands on it for a decent price.

It gets on my nerves too. I usually only record a small clip of my fav songs. It’s an angle no one else will get. That is why we occasionally get a really great fan cam of something freestyle. Holding them up the whole time is ridiculous though. Luckily if you are in the stands they don’t block your view but in the floor, they do. I personally think the army bomb lights prevent a lot of people from using their phone. They are Bluetooth by the way. You stop and sync your bomb on the way in.

I can read Hangul now, very slowly and I don’t know what I’m saying. It’s so hard. People are always focusing on Asians mixing up the R and L sounds and I get it. They have one character for both sounds and it depends where it is to decide which sound it is. I’m still pretty proud of myself for getting this far. At least I can look at a package of ramen and read if it’s spicy or not 🤣

I think Korea, lots of places, ahead one more Covid lockdown after this. When they got the Vegas dates it was a surprise and Vegas had more lax Covid restrictions. Right before Vegas a few of the boys got Covid, Jimin got Covid and had his appendix out at the same time. Poor guy was still recovering and huffing and puffing up that long stage. JK was on quarantine for Covid after he got to Vegas and J Hope had to wait to leave Korea. Correct me if I’m wrong on that.

Ya, in my opinion, it would have been less awkward to not wear a heel that high. It really made that pink outfit show up like a pink ranger towering over our guys. I mean, they aren’t short. For me its so much easier to understand then speak and write in English! 🫣I wish I could speak a little bit better so I could do other things, specially when it comes to work! Understanding is based on passive knowledge, which means that you are not producing the language. Writing is easier, because you have time to think or correct. Speaking is the most difficult part in any language learning, it's called active knowledge, you produce the language in real time and you (at least try) to use correct vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation. It's the most brain work for a language learner.

I was there the day this concert was filmed and there's a special guest! When the guest came out, we all lost our collective sh!t! I went 2 of their 4-night residency at SoFi. Day 2 was the special guest night and we sat on the 300 level. Day 3 we sat on the 200 level. Total for 4 tickets was about $700. I know people who got floor seats + sound check tickets for around $575. This is relatively cheap compared to what other artists charge, especially when Ticketmaster up charges even the non resale tickets. I would have gone all 4 nights had I been able to get tickets. Anyway, if you guys ever get the chance to go to a BTS concert, DO IT! It will change your life. It really starts hours before the concert. ARMYs go to the venue early and hang out, pass out/exchange freebies (little gifts that we make/put together like photo cards, key chains, Korean snacks, etc.), take pictures, meet IRL friends we met online, dance, sing, buy merch, etc. Companies that sponsor BTS also give out freebies like snacks and K-beauty products. It's a whole festival but with just BTS and ARMY. Once they let you in the venue, they show MVs and ARMYs actually just sit and dance and sing with each other. We famously say that BTS don't need no concert openers, which they never have, because ARMY singing and dancing to BTS MVs is more than enough. The last MV they showed before the start of the shows was always Permission to Dance. By this point, you can feel how thick the energy was at SoFi. As soon as the MV stops and they darken the venue, it felt like we are all holding our breath. Then, as the lights go on, the ARMY bombs (they are all blue tooth enabled, by the way) start to light up and you hear the first notes of their song ON everyone just goes CRAZY! We had on hifi earplugs that lessen the crowd noise without interfering with the sound and when I took it off, I swear my eardrums felt like they were gonna burst from the screaming, singing and yelling. They followed those 4 nights in L.A. with additional 4 nights in Las Vegas a few months later. I also went twice and the energy was the same: incredible. For two hours we are there together and this is where you see the best of both BTS and ARMY. I'm a concert goer and have been to many stadium concerts, including several Beyonce tours, and while the vibe is always great, there is nothing like a BTS concert. You see a lot of toxicity in online stan spaces because those types of people are the loudest and rudest. But when you meet with ARMY in real life, we really practice what BTS preaches: loving each other and our selves, respecting each other and making space for people to be themselves. We were even praised by the workers at SoFi because we cleaned up after ourselves and left the venue as clean as when we found it and were very patient even though the venue was disorganized. Mind you, for many of this was the 1st time we were outside since the pandemic! Try to go to a concert at least once but be forewarned, getting tickets is like the Hunger Games and only the strong will survive! 😆😆😆

Oh yes, you're right. It wasn't that covid was over by any means just that the concerts were the first time they were able to perform certain songs. The boys did get covid right before the Vegas concerts. I just meant that the MV for Life Goes On was an acknowledgment of Covid and their inability to perform for fans and when they did the song in LA it was a celebration for everyone. Still, the pandemic was not over and we had a long way to go.

I started taking Korean language lessons about 2 years ago. Only completed level 1 and didn’t have time to do anymore. But I’m fluent in reading Hangul but like you Linda I don’t know what I’m reading. Their sentence structures are different too. Such as I ball kick, rather than I kick the ball. Jimin spoke on Jimmy Fallon in English but spoke a sentence in that format, sounded so cute. Beautiful language though, so melodic. I’m starting again in September as planning to visit SK next year and want to make sure I can get on the right bus 😆

It's the writing system in the Korean language, the Korean alphabet. It's not very hard to learn to read, but it of course doesn't mean you know what the words mean.

The letters are easy to learn, but when you get into forming sentances and their grammar with verbs etc is where it get’s complex. I struggle with English grammar enough as it is lol

I was going to mention before that on Jimmy Fallon, they have teleprompters and also Jimmy has an ear piece. They have a delay. It’s the same built in broadcast delay that allows them to beep out cursing in time. He has time to hear the translation, plus it’s rehearsed.

I’m also learning Korean! It does sound wild to think I can read it but have no clue what I’m saying lol. 😂 Korean is written phonetically so once you learn what sounds the letters make and the arrangements it’s easy to sound out and speak. King Sejong invented Hangul in 1443. Before that Korean was a spoken language with only highly educated people using Chinese characters to read & write out the Korean words. The king wanted the written language to be easy for the ENTIRE country to learn. A very famous quote from one of the king’s scholars says “A wise man can learn Hangul in one morning… and a fool can learn it in the space of 10 days”. Understanding grammar and sentence structure is another thing entirely lol. 😂

And echoing Linda’s comments; they practice specific lines or phrases in English before hand. Often you’ll see them in an English interview switching back to Korean when they want to better express or explain something. Suga is famous for understanding English fluently on the sly but rarely speaks it. 😂 Like the time RM tried to clown him when meeting Machine Gun Kelly while he was in the bathroom and saying he didn’t know enough English to talk to him and then Suga busts out with full English sentences of what he said😂.

Right. It’s a clever language. I am beyond a fool though. It took me a month and I’m still so slow. It would help if I was only seeing the same font. A different lettering style makes a huge difference.

The body suit look for female pop starts has grown on me, 😅 I used to hate it tho lmao like, where’s the rest of your outfit?!?…. She’s tall tho I think 5’11”?.. so with heels she’s even taller and her hair was up. Standing next to RM at the end she looked like an Amazonian warrior lol. 😍 Literally the only thing that annoyed me about her performance was the heels slowed her down too much for that long ass stage. She should’ve worn something a bit more comfortable so she could get to the guys faster. ☹️ Or do her rap while walking to them if she couldn’t run in the shoes.

So lucky. With that new dynamic pricing thing, they can raise the price after you have it in your cart if it is selling out fast. I had 1 ticket for Agust D in my cart for 400 for Oakland, I went to the cart, and it was 900. I was like nope, not today.

I really hope that feature is gone by the time they start concerts again. The same thing happened to me with yoongi’s so I just ended up getting a nosebleed seat for $84

You described the experience perfectly. I fear BTS has ruined me for going to any other concerts. Nothing else compares in terms of the feeling. It's like a high that can't be matched. People of all ages, races, and backgrounds giving love and respect to one another. Everyone was so kind, so welcoming and giving. It felt like a microcosm of what the world really should be. It's electric and you're right in that it's a celebration of the best of ARMY and BTS. APOBANGPO!!!
