Zaria Weber

Hi guys!!! Great episode ! I think y’all should listen to his mixtapes and album , especially his mixtape! He talks a lot about his trauma and life I general . I would love to hear y’all thoughts on it 💯☺️

Zaria Weber

The first one “Agust D” that’s the name of the mixtape 😂

Chia Sano

I think when people balk at you sharing your opinions is because people are heavily influenced by kpop fan culture which is who can argue and flex the most about who they love. Critical thinking and context in what someone is feeling and communicating seems to be put aside for snap judgements and trying to control how people engage with context. I use the Suga example, you all learn and grow as you watch more content instead of trying to get everything right from the get-go. Even when you all are off or wrong, I know that BTS with their own words will answer the questions you have and so far that always happens. I have opinions based on what I know so far and so do you all. All we can do is grow together. It is obvious that you all love the members and never mean any disrespect when you talk about them. D-Day is a masterpiece of an album lyrically. But keep in mind, when you do watch Amygdala, the video reflects something that happened to him IRL (the accident) while he was working to try to support BTS in the early days. Suga is a real one.

Jk is the center of the group, that's one of his official positions

Jodys Corner

Center means they are the lead right? Whay makes someone gain "center?" Does that mean theyre a better dancer?

Chia Sano

In Kpop, the term 'center' refers to the the member that has the most lines or the most 'killing' vocal parts. On most tracks, even if they are rapline centric, you will hear alot of JK vocals and he's usually in the middle of everyone in choreography (not all the time, but the most often). The 'leader' is the person who takes on leadership responsibilities, aka the meetings with the company, the mediating disputes with the members and etc.

I'm not super into Kpop knowledge, hehe BTS is the only group I know their names in so I won't try to explain the roles in depth. I do know main is higher then Lead which is weird to me, but they're different and MAIN is the highest level. So Jk would be the center and main vocal. I personally don't think center would mean better dancer, Jhope is def the best in that aspect. But honestly I'm taking center as the JT of the group like you mentioned, he is usually always at the center in performances and has the most lines in almost every song.

Oh yeah, they explained it better! Leader (RM) and lead are also v different

Xoxoree

Finally got around to watching it. Great reaction! In my opinion RM is the leader because the group was originally centered around him before they went fully pop. I wouldn’t have chosen Jk to be the leader at that time, because he was still in middle school when he joined Bts. Rm just has really high stats highest IQ, knows English, is well spoken in both languages and he’s not afraid to get serious as a leader either. Y’all should watch RM leader moments https://youtu.be/yLTsehAFkhk?si=tiBpmCFkVkIqjH8O

RM is the leader because the group was made around him. He’s not just the leader because he speaks English. He is the heart of bts. BTS exists because of him. Look at the other kpop groups the leaders are much more younger than RM and some of them can’t speak a lick of English. Kookie is the main vocalist, lead dancer, and sub rapper and the maknae. He has all these parts so that what’s make him the center of the group. But RM is the leader because that’s his group he practically made bts with PD.
