This interview took place march 2023...almost a year after festa 2022....and youre right they didn't want to enlist into the military which is why they were trying to wait and see if the law was going to be passed that would allow them to be exempt, but I guess being sick of it hanging over their heads they just decided to take it into their own hands and just do it. And I also think that as the time grew closer they just accepted it as a part of each of their individual journeys.

Yess eman bts write there own music. The only songs they didn’t write was permission to dance, and dynamite. It’s mainly RM who writes there songs, and some of SUGA and hobi. RM has wrote a total of 229 songs he has even wrote songs for other idol groups.

Also suga saying he " can't be like this with other guest" was him speaking on guest outside of BTS if you go back and listen to what was said. He wasn't saying " I can't cant like this with rm".

I think what I love about this show, is that Suga found a way for them to talk about the things that I feel they'd really love to talk more about on press tours and such. I also find it interesting how people keep trying to sell Suchwita as 'a drinking show' without the context that it IS drinking with Suga, but his guests can bring whatever they want to drink. He has some none BTS people who don't drink alcohol, who brought like unique juices and teas. I think for some people, they think this is 'oh if you want to see them get drunk and real watch this'. But generally, Suga paces himself and stays sober enough to keep his guests comfortable. SOME guests (not BTS) have gotten...so drunk on this show. But that was I think inexperience with social drinking. I adore this show and I am glad you all are getting to see it.

if youre curious about how suga is with guests that arent bts id recommend the taemin episode! hes an idol too he debuted in 2008 but is the same age as suga. theres another special guest in it too wink wink

i recommend the episode of suchwita with TXT yeonjun and taehyun. they are bts’ juniors and the only other boy group under big hit. they look up to bts as their big brothers and bts dote on them like little bros. seeing yoongi with them was so wholesome and different from his usual vibe with other members. they actually get drunk on that episode 😭 and yoongi taps into his protective older bro bag.

lol JODY went from “I feel like BTS can be fine without SUGA, I don’t think he’s that important” to “SUGA is my second favourite” 🤣love the growth, and it’s insane being there in real time when you said that cuz I was one of the ones who gave u a huge side eye with that comment 😭💀 but I’m sure you would give yourself a side eye too if you watch that video back now with what you currently know about them. Anyways love the video. Jimin does indeed always bring out the best in everyone. My Bias are the Kim line (RM,Jin, and V) but this episode was my favourite of them. I can’t wait for u do watch the rest though and maybe even some with some of the other guest that isn’t BTS members. Like the one with the singer “IU”. V and j-hope took some time off a couple days ago to go to her concert. She is the singer that V was in a music video with.

And yea Suga said he can’t be comfortable with the way he was in this video with other guests is cuz he has had many other guest on the show that is isn’t close with, some of them are also much older than him so he has to be “polite” - his words, he said it in this video “I have to be polite” even the way he has to talk to them. He has to use quite different language structure than he uses to talk to Jimin or any of his other members. Like u can see him with some of the other guest where he is more relaxed cuz they are younger than him or the same age….like the one with IU😁

I think you're right. Each member has a huge soft spot for Jimin. It's like his emotional intelligence and his connection with them keeps the group "attached" emotionally, in a good way. Jimin has said many times that he's not a solo artist and never wanted to be one, exclusively. He is a member of a group, period, and he prefers it to be that way. They truly are all family and can't live without ome another in their lives. It's all so wholesome and I'm so jelly. 😉🥰💜

I remember feeling so dejected with how you guys reacted to him in American hustle life and Bon voyage bc he’s my bias so I’m excited that you’re now getting to know him better 🫶🏾 he’s always been such a warm and comforting person to me from the moment I got into bts in 2015 and so many ppl used to describe him as cold and tough. I don't think that's really the case, they have always mentioned that when it was their turn to serve, they would go. They had planned to enlist even much earlier but with the “tour” they did in the US and the last concert in Busan, they waited. They said so themselves.

I don't mean that they wanted to go to military service (obviously not), but what I mean is, the main reason they waited is not because they were waiting to be exempted.

they themselves said that they were already in their plans long before, if they had really expected to be exempt they would have waited a few more months, but no, they announced it long before the government said anything, they have not even taken advantage of the law that they put in their favor to extend the enlistment until 30

I don't remember very well who it was that said it, if Jin or Nam, but they mentioned that the plan was to enlist in 2021, but with the concerts in USA they decided to wait, then that in the summer of 2022 Jin was going to enlist, but once again they waited because they wanted at least Jin to be in the last concert for ARMY as a farewell, for that reason he ended up enlisting in December 2022, nothing to do with waiting to be exempted as you mention 😅

Loved rewatching this with you guys, thank you so much, made me so happy!!!🤗🫶 I went to renew my membership and ended up going up a level😉 4 STAR Baby yesss!!! We're on the same page Jody. JiMin is my #1 and Suga my #2 It's always been them from the start for me but I really do love them all!!! And I really pray they stay together til they can hardly move like JiMin said😆 Just wanted to point out that the reason why JiMin didn't think that would be his team is because the others had been together for more than a year before he joined the company. So he really didn't think he'd be debuting so soon after becoming a trainee. But yes his training period was only 6months or less by the time they debuted. Was so beautiful and sweet that it was SUGA's words that ignited JiMin's ambition🫶 BTS was created as a hiphop idol group. There was always the intention of Bang PD for BTS to sing and rap and dance. But he kept the idol part from RM and SUGA who only realised it when they had to take up dancing. They weren't happy about it at first because obviously they thought they were gona be in a hiphop group. Poor RM in one of his pre-debut lives was bemoaning how difficult it was taking up dance and how he almost gave up because of the dancing. We are so blessed he stayed. Same with SUGA. He was actually promised by Band PD it'll be a hiphop group no dancing. There's a funny video of him yelling out about being lied to and tricked into it by Bang PD. We can laugh about it now but the poor guys would've had it so hard back then and it would've totally been understandable for them to leave. But gosh again we are so blessed they chose to stay because without any one of them there'd be no BTS. I just love this group so much!! I love that they're a real family!! I lovw how they love, support and respect each other!! I love how perfect they are for each other and how not one of them is dispensable!! For real!! BTS is so well loved and successful only and truly because of each of its 7 members BANGTAN 4 LIFE 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

BTS have songs they produced themselves or with the internal producers at BigHit, they also have songs from external producers. In the case of FACE, Jimin said in the beginning that he created the album with three of the internal bighit producers (all Korean). One of them is Pdogg, who Suga mentioned he’s known for 13 years. If you watch the smeraldo marching band MV, the little band in it playing behind jimin is those three guys.

I agree, I really like this episode with Jimin too. But if you haven’t seen it the one with Jungkook ( the first one he did with JK, there are two) is really funny. Oh, btw, there are sojus that are , 40%, 50%, 60%…… they’re just the more expensive types

I agree with you mimi, in Jins live in argentinia he said he was always planning to leave, even years ahead, but the company literally stopped him, and then the members asked him to stay for the busan concert- maybe some of them were waiting for the government (i doubt it but maybe) but Jin certainly wasnt.

Yoongi and Jimin are way closer than they show us. They are really good friends, and I think Jimin brings a different side of Suga. And I agree with you that Jimin gets along very well with all the members, he is a very caring person.

This is just a thought, I wonder if Bang PD really did intend on a hip-hop group (that IS what he advertised on the audition announcement because he knew that aspect was mostly missing in the industry at the time) but when he discovered these other guys who had so much talent in singing and dancing, he allowed the group to evolve into a hybrid of all 3 things. That seems more likely, I think. It's true that Bang PD originally "lied," saying there would be no dancing or singing, but perhaps that was before he discovered J-hope and Jungkook. Think about it, those two talents, ALONE, would totally change my mind on the direction the group would take! Fr fr.
