how bts' teamwork makes the dream work (and why most boybands don't last) TIER 1.mkv

I just watched the video, and thank you very much for the reaction Jody, much appreciated. Just one small detail, when you or E-man want to say something or comment, sometimes you forget to pause the video and while the video is playing it gets a little confusing and sometimes it's hard to understand what you're saying and I would really like to hear what you're saying, so I would appreciate it if you could pay attention to that. 🙏

What makes you think that BTS (as a group) is now just POP? As a group they haven't released music in 2 years, so did you say this in relation to the group or their solo era (and only JK and Jimin have released POP albums)? About what you said about Suga, I respect your opinion about him really being Suga outside of BTS. But in my opinion, every time you talk about the RAP Line as BTS, it's a little hard to take your opinion seriously or accept it when you haven't reacted to literally anything about the RAP Line as BTS. You've only reacted to videos or songs from the RAP Line outside of the group. For example: Agust D = Haegeum RM = Wildflower J-Hope = Arson / More These are all Rap Line songs but their solos. I and I'm sure other people really want to know your true opinion and have a solid basis to be able to respect it and take it seriously. It's like me saying that the movie Avengers Infinity War is better than Avengers Endgame and I've never seen it. How can I form an opinion if I've only seen one movie and not the other and expect my opinion to be taken seriously? When you see enough content only from the RAP Line as BTS like you have done so far with the VOCAL Line and still have the same opinion as you do now, I think it will be a more realistic opinion.

Renata Sousa

The group started to be formed in 2010, Jimin was the last and that's why he only joined the group in 2012 and they debuted in 2013, the members were between 15 and 20 years old when they started, do you guys consider this age “little kids”? 😅

Jodys Corner

15 is korean years though, right. If he was 15 in Korean, doesn't that mean he was like 13?

Jodys Corner

I said they're just pop because their latest songs have been pop and the rapline are in the background. Festa 2022 was about rapline being frustrated bevause all the attention was on vocal line. (aka POP)

Jodys Corner

Rapline doesnt really exists within BTS in 2023 does it? feel free to give me BTS rapline song from their LATEST album and I will give it a listen.

Jodys Corner

I don't understand fully why they are different as individuals vs as a group. Are you saying their better as a trio raplin in BTS than in their individual endeavors? if so, That sounds backwards to me.

Jodys Corner

"It's like me saying that the movie Avengers Infinity War is better than Avengers Endgame and I've never seen it." -- That is totally NOT the same thing.

Jodys Corner

"When you see enough content only from the RAP Line as BTS like you have done so far with the VOCAL Line and still have the same opinion as you do now, I think it will be a more realistic opinion." ---- I have a serious problem with your way of thinking. You don't see my point as valid as if BTS are the only musicians i have listened to. They're not different from the rest of musicians as far as having an opinion on them. You are basically saying our opinion is not valid because we haven't listened to enough songs that YOU deem so to YOUR satisfaction. What if I don't need to hear the rapline WITHIN BTS to see who is better as a rapper? or to see that none of their rapline songs are hits or singles from their latest BTS album? They're all pop songs. It's not like im making any of this up and it's quite obvious to see from my point of view. HYBE does not cherish rapline like they do pop/vocal line. their pop songs are in the forefront. Always. Maybe not back in the day on old albums, but definitely now

Renata Sousa

Yes, ok, JK was 14 (international age) because he was the youngest, but the others were 17, 18, 19, etc... but it's okay if you consider that age as still "little kids". I only asked because E-Man made a comparison between BTS and NSYNC based on their ages when they started, even though they were the same age, and I found it funny 😄

Renata Sousa

So do you consider their Latests albums BE, MAP Of The Soul and Love Yourself to be just POP? Butter Dynamite and Permission to Dance were happy songs they released during the pandemic to cheer up their fans. They were unplanned songs, they only released them because the World Tour was canceled, because if it weren't for the pandemic they wouldn't release those songs. But they did release them and the songs are POP, but just because of 3 songs you already consider them just POP? The last songs Beyonce released (2 or 3) were Country, so should I say she's now a Country singer? But that's okay, if that's your opinion I respect Jody. And about FESTA 2022 I've been following the group since 2016 so that's not what I interpreted, and since what they said can be interpreted in different ways for those who started following them recently then it will always be debatable.

Renata Sousa

Jody, you're getting the dates mixed up. BTS hasn't been active as a group since October 2022, which was when Jin enlisted (the first one). Yes, it's true that RAP Line didn't show much of themselves in 2021 and 2022 because when COVID started, they had a world tour scheduled and when it ended, they would go straight to the Military Service. That's why they didn't have any songs planned to release (in fact, they didn't have anything planned, which is why they decided to make In the Soop). RAP Line has always written the lyrics for their RAP songs, and they always had meaning, and they weren't going to release them just for the sake of it. The group has always prepared the content they wanted to release (albums, videos, Run BTS) well in advance, so they knew exactly when, how, and what they wanted to release. Since COVID ruined their plans, they released Butter, Dynamite, and PTD. That's why RM said at FESTA that they had lost direction as a group when they released these songs. If the Covid situation hadn't happened and they had released these songs because it was planned, I would agree with you that the RAP Line no longer exists within BTS and the group is now only focused on the VOCAL Line. But I think you should take into account the unforeseen events that happened and that they had to adapt and do things differently that weren't entirely their choice (like military service for example, but that's another topic).

Renata Sousa

No, because I think that being in a group and making music individually cannot be compared. But what I want to say is that many times when you react to a video, the impression you give me when you talk about the whole group (Vocal and Rap Line) is that the group is just the Vocal Line and the Rap Line has been in the group as backing vocals since they started, and yes, I know that maybe that is not your intention, but it seems like you are belittling the Rap Line and what they contribute or have contributed to the group.

Renata Sousa

So what you're saying is that your opinion is exactly the same regarding all musicians? Sorry Jody, I didn't understand what you meant. I'm not saying that your opinion isn't valid, but when I try to understand your opinion on this subject, I can't consider it serious or find a reason for you to have that opinion. I don't know how much content you've seen in private, like the AMYGDALA MV that you said you didn't like in the comments of the other post, but you never showed your reaction to that MV, so I'm commenting in relation to what you've shown us that you've seen, so if you say that you prefer listening to Jimin's music than JK's or vice versa, I see that your opinion has a solid reason because you've shown that you've reacted to a lot of content from both of them, but if you say that they sing better than Jin when you've shown that you've only reacted to 2 of his songs, I think that's not a fair opinion (I'm not saying that you really think that, I'm just giving an example). About not needing to listen to Rap Line to know who the best rapper is, when you started reacting to BTS you said it was RM, until you saw more content from SUGA and then you said you weren't sure who was the best anymore, but that's my point, you needed to see more content from SUGA to change your opinion about him, because if you didn't see it today you would still think he doesn't bring anything to BTS. So what you mean is that you're only interested in listening to or reacting to Rap Line songs if they're recent, not if they're from 5 years ago? If that's the case, can I ask why?

Renata Sousa

And sorry for the long comments, I don't want you to see them as criticism at all, or for you to think that I don't respect your opinion, it's just that you are a person who gives your real opinion and I like that and that's why I feel comfortable giving mine and showing my point of view, and that's why I'm still here on Patreon 💜🫰🏽😄 And just one more question, do you like watching this type of videos?I'm asking because when I recommend content that I want you to see, I want you to watch it and enjoy it. I don't want you to react just for the sake of it, after all you have to enjoy what you're watching. If I recommend more videos of this type, would you like it?

I think at the end of the day, we are all looking forward to what the group decides to make when they start putting out new things as a group in 2026. They have all grown at artists individually and have the potential to bring all that individuality to the stage. They also will be older than most new kpop groups so I hope they don't worry about competing with them for younger fans but really appeal to the people who appreciate them being men now. I just hope they find a way to keep making music that makes them happy.

Chia Sano

Let me just say this. For people just getting into BTS, objectively and officially in the industry they are in the genre of pop. Their most popular songs, globally and known by people outsideof ARMY are pop. This does not mean Suga's tour didn't have huge crowds including getting more hip hop heads to check him out. Or that RMs indie rap album and movie isn't making waves in that crowd of people. Or that Jhope's dance documentary or record breaking Lollapalooza show wasn't amazing. It means collectively over the last 4 years, BTS has marketed and pushed mostly pop hits to the western market and that has sold. That is not a negative thing, Jody and Eman both know and have seen that in their early days they were heavy hip hop in their theme. But most people new to BTS would not know how amazing their rapline is unless they started to do research into it and start on a journey to get yo know BTS. We older fans already know, newer fans have to reach into archives. BE did have some good rapline tracks. Alot. Every album has rapline gems. But those aren't the songs played on American commercials. Is it sad? Yes. However, they are paid well and real fans know how talented they are.

Jodys Corner

I will go back to the beginning and listen to all the stuff you and other patrons want me to. There is no limit. I think we are juat misunderstanding each other. I will set up a day for us all to communivate live for patreon only

Jodys Corner

Can you send requests from BTS most recent albums that are rapline only? I will give them a reaction. If you have to go back further than 2019, it shows they ditched rapline for vocal.
