i only ever gravitated towards bts too eman, so i feel you 😭 after consuming content from other groups like stray kids, newjeans, blackpink, and more.. i just could never really get into them fr BUT last month i started watching content from ateez and i just immediately began to adore them sm so now i'm a bts & ateez stan 🤗

Ateez is a group who give amazing live performances. Their concerts, which I have attended, are so amazing. I don't stan this group, but I adore the members and their journeys. They have matured these days into a good sound.

ateez are known for their performances and dance skills. they are insane live! the way they really immerse themselves in their concepts, themes and choreography. they change to completely different people when they are performing. icons and legends in the kpop industry have said no one can put on a performance like ateez in terms of absolutely bringing to life their characters, live vocals and dancing. they went viral before they even debuted for their dancing !! this is just their debut so i wouldn’t judge too harshly. the mv was all one location in morrocco. like bts their company was completely unknown and going bankrupt. they did not have money for sets, fancy clothes and production. in the beginning of their career they only used free locations. but now they are one of the top 3 4th gen boy groups and saved their company from bankruptcy. they performed at coachella last year and were the most talked about act ! i really hope you two can watch more ateez and get into them because they are amazing! and going forward i would say not to compare them to bts - or well don’t compare any group to another kpop group. that will cause unnecessary fights and it’s also unfair to the teams who work hard to make a name for themselves. the kpop industry is more than just bts and has been here way before bts and i say that as a bts stan since 2016. and i’m ngl army have a track record for being very negative to other groups so i just hope that your community won’t be that way. bcs i love bts and ateez. 😭

I personally have tried to listen to other groups but just have not been able to get into them like I have BTS. I pay for the BTS content however I would never try to tell them what they should or shouldn’t listen to.

Ateez let's go! There are so many good groups and songs in K-pop so I'm happy you're branching out. Ateez and BTS are my ults which means my top 2 fave groups in all of K-pop. Wooyoung in Ateez is also a huge ARMY and Jimin fanboy. I hope you get into Ateez more and maybe in the future a few other great groups. Stray Kids, TXT, Twice, Le Sserafim etc. I know some ARMY will only listen to BTS and that's okay, but others like to try new things and have a mix of music and not just one thing. Pls do Ateez Killing voice if you decide on more Ateez. Ateez are also from a rags to riches story like BTS, so that makes me respect them even more. They also have half the group as main dancers so you definitely need to see their dance practices because they have amazing choreography. Their debut was simple and shot in Morocco so they didn't have to spend too much money on sets because KQ is a small label and didn't have the resources like BigHit was also small in the beginning. Thank you Jody for being open-minded and realizing that it was a debut and so you didn't judge too harshly. You should check out their newest title track Ice on My Teeth and see how much they've grown. Ateez is the only group outside the big 4 companies ( Hybe, JYP, SM, and YG) that are able to compete with the other huge boy groups in billboard charts and sales. Hope Eman gives them a fair chance. P.S. it's pronounced like Aye-tease and their fandom is Atiny ( Ateez + Destiny) pronounced aye-teeny.

It's great to check out other kpop too, some people get into it and some people don't. And you're right Jody just go into it not thinking about BTS bc nobody could compare to them. Lmao lmao I was laughing so much about E-man, god bless his soul, I hope he finds space in his heart to be kind to these poor kpop groups 😂 But no need to force it, I also came to the conclusion that I'm just not a kpop fan. & I think ATEEZ is a good choice, from the little I know they seem like sincere boys and while they started with a traditional Kpop sound, they've grown and have their own sound and image now. They had recent good songs, I don't know the exact name, so I'll let their own fans recommend that. Plus they're also big BTS fanboys, and did many BTS covers and tributes 🫶🏽

Side note: did you know Hope just announced a world tour???? He's coming to LA on April 4th-6th. If you want tickets you'll need to join the pre-sale on Weverse. Just wanted to let you know, since it'll be difficult to get tickets, but you don't have to ofcourse, it'll be expensive too. Sadly he's not coming to Europe so I don't even have to option to go 😭😭 There will also be a livestream of his concert in Korea, so I take peace with that.

Ateez is really good. I went to their concert in the summer and almost passed out from yelling. Their songs are really intense. I agree this was not their best choreography at all, overall they are really great when it comes to performances. The one Jody called fierce is named jongho, he’s the main vocalist and hands down one of the best vocalist in kpop Yall gottaaaa do their killing voice

It's cool to see you guys doing Ateez reactions. Other than BTS my favorite groups are Ateez, Seventeen, and SHINee. NCT produces really great music though so It'd be interesting to see you guys do a deep dive in their music as well. As for Ateez, they're a very big performance based group. Everyone in the group are great dancers as well. They were actually mistaken for a pro dance crew pre-debut. Some title tracks I'd recommend are Answer, Hala hala, Thanxx, Halazia, Wave, Guerilla(if you like rock), Firework, Bouncy, and their newest song Ice on my teeth. If you're into a bit of 80's synth vibe then I recommend the fan favorite b-side combos Take me home, Cyberpunk, Silver light, and Selfish Waltz. I listen to a lot of nct music as well so I'll just wait to see if you guys go deeper in that direction.
