I appreciate the reaction

This documentary I think helped manage expectations for actual fans of BTS. It was a solid project but not their peak and hopefully now the bandaid is ripped off they can continue to grow and get back into the groove on their tour and work on their next project in better heads paces and with a fresher perspective.

Namjoon and suga did an interview where they talk about a lot of stuff (their past, the album ect) and I think you guys would like it it’s funny as well. here’s the link for it https://youtu.be/gpCygwyAJFw?si=SmKsApXeeocREucy. They were also on jimmy fallon

Mani

This album is obviously rushed but I still really enjoyed it and I like that they are gong back to what they started with when they debuted

I was going to recommend that too some context the other guys are a group called Epik High they are a Korean rap group from the mid 2000's both Suga and RM said they wanted to be rappers after listening to their album in 2006. Suga is really close with their leader Tablo he's been a mentor to both of them.

Chlo

Thankyou for changing it back to Korean (original), the English dubbed was offputting. 😂

The album is definitely rushed and not what a lot of people were expecting, including me. It has grown on me more as i've listened to it. I love a lot of the songs, some of them could've gone another way. Hopefully once they get back into the groove of things, being on tour etc. they can get back to making music in their own time and on their own terms.

Chlo

RM was a credited songwriter on all the songs for the new album. As always he had the biggest pressure on his shoulders.

Chlo

V & J-Hope were goofing around performing the 'new millenium exercise' routine, whilst listening to 'body to body'. That's probably why you thought it would be a "dance" that fit better with the song 'Idol' because it's a popular Korean exercise routine.

Jodys Corner

RM is a leader for more than one reason. I see his value.

But the debut hiphop songs were so muhj better though...

Chlo

Not quite because they had other producers involved, they had a deadline to get it done by and they just come out of the military so it was rushed. What I mean by "their own terms" is to do it at their own pace when the creativity comes naturally to them, not have pressure to get it done by a certain date and not have the pressure of "BTS' comeback after a long hiatus". I feel they were lost and confused, for the most part, on where they wanted their music to go because they hadn't done it for a while. I'm glad they had fun during the process of making it and they probably learnt a lot along the way too. Also less of "hitman" bang's involvement and less of Nicole Kim's (VP of BigHit) involvement.

Chlo

Because it was mainly only BTS, Pdogg & Supreme Boi who made those tracks in the past. I think that's where they lost their spark a bit on this new album. It wasn't all from scratch. Tracks were ready made by different Western producers and BTS had to pick up from there. Probably due to the lack of time and maybe wanting to branch out and experiment with a new sound, who knows but I believe that's where they lost who they were slightly. It's great that they got to work with new producers and I'm all for that, keep branching out but not for the whole album, it was missing something, missing that old school BTS vibe. 😕
