I really hope Rise of Bangtan is top on your list because it really does a phenomenal job at explaining the Kpop industry vs American culture and how BTS fits into it. It will answer soo many of your questions. Jody you are correct I don’t see them wining a Grammy any time soon, especially considering how the other big American award shows also recently added Kpop categories to keep BTS out of the big nominations. As a fandom ARMY is generally over it, most of us understand it’s rigged by industry ppl and not reflective of actual audience love, influential reach or numbers.

Definitely this. Also I think it’s mostly a poor choice of words from Jody that has us triggered. I don’t see Jimin “running away”, but I definitely do see him avoiding a fight because A) he knows it’s not worth it, he’s not a hot-head and has a very high emotional intelligence, B) he could do serious damage to the other person and then it’s a whole money grabbing fiasco(american celebs should take notes 👀), C) there’s legit crazy ppl out here, he knows it’s stupid to injure himself on fight with a rando and risk $$$. He’s smart but definitely not to be messed with, he’s not running from a fight worth fighting and will defend himself if needed.

Also adding that JK is the maknae, AKA the baby of the group plus he’s fun and carefree so yea everyone has their moments with him. Not in some weird fixation way tho, it’s more like how in lots of families the youngest gets away with murder and generally the rest of the family indulges them.

I think part of the whole Jungkook thing with the laugh game is that hes the youngest lol and they all have a little soft spot for him because of that. But BTS' humor is just all over the place sometimes so him hitting himself on the cheek would get them dying LMAO

I really recommend watching Suga's talk show Suchwita, you really get to see his personality. he's had every member on,he also interviews other idols, actors and actresses.

I agree, they wouldn't like fighting. They like the martial arts and sports, but that requires sportsmanship from mutual parties. It's not just fighting.

True, Asians are so underrepresented and opressed in media (same goes for other minorities). It's also beyond nationality and language. I don't think acting "American" would solve it fully. The boys' money goes back to Korea, and it doesn't stay in America. Since they only have a distribution deal and are not actually signed to an American label, there's nobody in America financially benefitting from BTS' albums and activities. ... and the boys aren't just going to leave their company HYBE for some distrusty western label.

there's this channel called "Boracity" on youtube you should check out, she makes loads of videos about BTS' position in the American market (vs. radio, vs. Spotify). And she pulls receipts.

Aight y’all. Imma need a Suchwita episode hosted by Suga soon. That way y’all can form your own opinions about the members while learning more about them. All of the member’s individual ones are cool, plus Suga interviewing other Kpop artists and actors are interesting too. Literally up to who you want to learn more about. Plus the BTS ones give you info about the group and their relationships/careers. But yeah I can’t tell y’all what to think when you see stuff. You have to form your own opinions but shows like suchwita really give you more answers. Love watching y’all

Sejin is their manager, who worked for them doing all sorts of things (doing promotions, driving them around, bodyguarding, behind the scenes assistance). He still works with them and in Bighit/HYBE to this day. Most of the staffs from back in the day are still closely working with the boys.

Jungkook's their little one, they al baby him and he can literally do no wrong in the boys' and the staffs' eyes. It's less these past years, because they're men heading towards 30 though.

Tks guys. I agree that JK is the favorite, but it’s because he’s the baby. It’s been that way since he was 13 and started. He was the 4th member and Jin, all of them, claim to have raised him . So cute.

When I see pics of Jimin in the military with a gun, it hurts my heart, but they grow up knowing they’ll go. I heard he won a certificate for best in his group for boot camp. Also, a very fast runner. They are all doing well but it was hardest to see Jimin and Jungkook go. I think they are well trained to walk away from fights for legal reasons and their bodyguards are bad asses but if pushed, they can fight so I don’t worry much about them being in the military, unless there is war.

I agree. It doesn’t get more real than when Suga talks about it. He is the best historian for Bts. He has a good and realistic memory.

Suga loves tangerines. It's a core trait. We all got a kick out of him running with a bag of tangerines in the MV for Haegeum. Kinda an inside joke. 💜

But the thing is most of us have opinions on the BTS members. I remember JK saying Army’s are really open with their opinions on a live. I don’t understand why they can’t let yall form opinions organically and learn by watching more just like we all did.

You will learn when you get to Bon Voyage season 4 that Jungkook is the dare devil of the group he will do anything, bungee jump sky dive etc. Also when when they was by the motorbike saying a tattooed guy might walk out funny coincidence because Jungkook is now the tattooed man who rides a Harley Davidson😍
