I love yoongi so much cant wait for you to react to other rappers RM and Jhope 💜

Mabelmoon

LOL, E-man Suga/Agust D has ARMY's support on everything he wants to try. I can't wait for you to watch more interviews so you both can hear him from his own mouth how he feels..... i am just waiting here with a little evil smile on my face (hint: OTSUKARE). Jody thanks for admitting how wrong you were for saying that BTS didn't need Suga, you stand corrected and i respect that.

.

This song went so fucking hard at his concert I’m pretty sure u can hear me screaming in the recording I have

Keyz J.

Hes not being held back, Agustd was his alter ego , and Suga is another side of himself... he's literally said.... "The difference is that there is a lot more that I can openly express and that I can show a more raw side to myself [with Agust D]. What’s similar is that both sing of dreams and hope." .Also his last album was the last chapter for Agust D trilogy. I believe he's done with that version of himself (for now until he has more to say as agust d). You guys need to listen to more of the music, but to keep saying "bts is holding him back " isn't a fair or accurate assessment.

Xoxoree

Another amazing video as always, I want to say this cause on other videos I’ve seen comments about it. some army’s like to deny that Suga/Agust D is different when he’s solo which is insane because everyone is different when they’re by themselves, some things are for the group and some things are for themselves. Sometimes the 2 worlds collide and you get ‘Ddaeng’ or all of the cyphers, even ‘Otsukare’ (which y’all would not expect from Suga) I like hearing yalls opinions continue to keep it real (E-man’s comment about the group about to be over might need to be edited too for YouTube so ARMY doesn’t dox y’all 😂😂)

Tbh I think the rap line (specifically suga and rm) tuned it down a little bit while in bts but they were more wild in their early days I think when the fame really came in is when they tuned it down at least while in bts I would love to see you guys react to rm’s song joke so you can see what I mean🙂 love the reaction as always 😊

My understanding of Agust D vs Suga is pretty different from yours lmao I wonder what y'all will think about the differences between his personas in a couple months. Agust D is just Suga but angry and frusturated. I wouldn't say bts is holding him back — if anything, he's holding himself back. The songs he releases under Agust D are practically diaries. He vents out his inner emotions that society might deem “ugly”. Agust D is almost a personification of his pain. So it's not that bts has him by the balls, screaming at him to just rap pop. He does rap about genuine feelings and experiences in bts as well! It's just that they aren't as intense as they are when he's under Agust D. Current day Yoongi has stated that he might never use Agust D again. It's not because he's being silenced, it's just because he has no need for Agust D anymore. He's a more mature person. His wounds are healed and his scars are now accepted and loved by him. He's in a better headspace, so he doesn't need to write under Agust D anymore. That alone is enough to tell me that he isn't being musically stifled by some outside force. It's him alone who chooses what name to use and what music to produce.

Man no one holding back suga. The thing is that BTS songs have another concept.Suga is the one who wrote many of BTS songs. He can add whatever he wants, but he knows that it does not fit the concept of the group. You only see this suga in his solo album .As for the group songs, you rarely see them rapping hard only in their debut song “ that you should listen to more to judge “and in their rap line songs!! Another thing, BTS never mention Armys in their songs in bad way . They always mentionethe Armys with love. There is a lot of fans songs for Armys including Jimin song that you react to” closer than this “ . Therefore, do not say that it is directed to the Army. Originally, the song is for the rappers who abused him previously. This is a response to them!! That’s why he said “ all ya fried rappers should be thankful for I am an idol “ There is alot of “ toxic fans “ which is not only in kpop fandoms but in everywhere!! You may hate ARMY so bad because the “ toxic fans “ hated u I understand u and I don’t blame u at all … BTS has suffered a lot, but not from ARMY from society and music industry Army is the last shit you have to think about i really recommend you ” BTS HARDSHIPS” and “THIS IS BTS ARMY “ I'm glad your outlook on ARMY is starting to improve even if it little thank u guys sm💜

this part of the lyric.. Sending listeners to Hong Kong with my rap My tongue technology. In South Korea, taking someone to Hong Kong means to make them orgasm during sexual intercourse. So basically Agust D is saying that his tongue technology will make you cum. hehe

April Forgue

This was his first mv off his first mix tape. This is not part of the trilogy from Heageum. Deachwita off his second mix tape and Amygdala off his last Album are part of the trilogy. He was not talking to Army he was talking to the haters especially the k hip-hop that was looking down on him and RM from going from underground rap to K-pop. It might be easier if you just finished his first mix tape and go to the next etc. Start from the beginning. His next mv part of first mix tape is give it to me.

BTW all the members is holding back on their talent. because Suga is a songwriter and a producers his job in BTS is mainly in the back ground, and when he raps in BTS it´s clean. but then when he goes solo like this it´s like a bomb exploding and we all are so shocked. that´s what happened 7 times during this solo era. even if we already had a taste of the rappers, we tend to forget how good they are. the vocalists only made covers and a few solo songs not like a whole album like they are now. so you can really see how much they do hold back in BTS. so i don´t want them to only do BTS stuff in the future i want them to have a solo career also. it´s like BTS expanded into 7 artists we have to follow instead of just one. not complaining.

Melissa Torres

Yea he has said bts is his life his future

Melissa Torres

This song was towards his haters n bts haters..its not towards army in any way..they are very thankful to the army..army is the first word that comes out of their mouths when making speeches at award shows 💜yoongi has said BTS is his life n future

Chia Sano

Everyone in BTS is a star, a beautiful galaxy of talent and genuine souls. So they all shine brightly, together as a whole picture AND solo as individual artists. The amazing opportunity to explore musical styles, topics and genres is something they are all really good at doing both as a group and solo. This band of brothers is in this BTS thing for life and ARMY is here to support them. I think in the west we are so used to individual popularity = group disbandment that we have to adjust our mentality to accept that it is possible for make magic with a group of people and be ride or die with those folks as well. Glad you all enjoyed this.

1anm1n (Nana)

I can’t wait till you guys watch more BTS funny compilations and also reactions to more of their music 😫💜

Aušrinė Sakalauskaitė

Check out SUGAs "Amygdala", that one is his real story. Have goosebumps everytime I hear it. Soooo sad, but good

JKLS

Awesome reaction. Pretty please check out Daechwita. Jin and JK make a cameo in that vid too.

Figgy

If you react to Daechwita please also react to the explanation video by DKDKTV, where it’s explained by a Korean, there is a lot of Korean lore references in this song that you would probably appreciate as you love anime. You could guess what the song is about and then watch the explanation to see who was the closest? https://youtu.be/JayEtmyXVpo?si=SBzUMhbEemH4jv1W

Bernadett

Yay! Agust D! Suga is the MAN indeed. His lyrics, tongue technology and music! He took that sample from James Brown and fucking ran with it! Holy shit. ("Man made the cars" - James Brown: It's a Man's World)

Figgy

Also it’s only like 10 mins long, so not too painful 💜

K

I definitely do think he is different but he isn’t “holding back” I don’t think

Xoxoree

Yeah holding back isn’t the correct term that’s why I used different

VancityGal

Thanks guys! Suga is my rap bias. I really love his flow, lyrics and production style. As far as I know he is considered on many lists to be the top Idol rapper and BTS rap line is considered top notch. His D day album got him the first No 1 spot on the Billboard rap charts for a k-pop artist. You’re right that Suga and RM picked the right path for them but it was brutal. They got a lot of hate from the underground rap scene they left and got made fun of by other Idol groups and their fans. This is a clap back to all of them. And, although you may see Suga as resenting his Idol life, I don’t. I think he enjoys playing both sides of the coin. Of course, they all wish they had more freedoms within the industry and I agree. Also, from what I’ve seen in interviews, Suga is the member most committed to BTS as a team. He hopes to be making music for a long time together. And, E-Man has a right to his ideas but I don’t believe any of the members focus on the Armys that may be toxic and believe it or not it only recently got crazy like it is now. They all focus on the Army that supported them and got them to where they are today. They have great love and appreciation for us. 💜

Lief

Jody you spot on with your first point of view on the song. But it's also good to know there's a bad history between the BTS rappers and the Korean Hiphop scene. The little korean rappers gave the BTS rappers so much shit, especially RM and SUGA were hurt and mad about it since even their friends from the underground hiphop scene gave them shit for being in an idol group.

Lief

Also now the BTS rappers dont care about people shitting on them anymore. They made a song about it called "UGH!".

Lief

the only comment I'd make is I disagree with your (eman) views on BTS having some bad feelings for the company or ARMY. It's generally good, and even if they express little inconveniences, they'll more often express satisfaction with the position they're in and the relationship with the company and fans.

VancityGal

This song is actually not part of the trilogy. For that you need to go to Daechwita next. Agust D ‘Daechwita’ https://youtu.be/qGjAWJ2zWWI?si=LxXSzqm0hFDFwY9_ Also, for that please check out the DKDK TV explanation after. It’ll make a world of difference. You may also at some point think about hiring an army to make a plan for you when watching videos. They can direct you on what to watch together etc.

Lief

J-Hope is dropping a new album and documentary on March 28. He prerecored it before joining the military, and planned for it to be released now. The overall theme will be streetdance.

JKLS

Yeah, Amygdala really pulls at the heartstrings.

Lief

Another angle of SUGA is his more commercial and fun work, which he also enjoys. He decided to write and produce this song for PSY, but eventually ended up rapping and even doing the dance. The song is "That That" by PSY

WittyRD

Agreed! I wish I had the time to do this but if you ask for volunteers im sure you’ll find some help. A word document with links and very brief descriptions would be soooo helpful for y’all.

WittyRD

My first listen through of the DDay album and I was driving to work and I legit had to pull over and play it twice!

Linda C.

If you watch Suga’s show Suchwita, you’ll hear from his own mouth that he is proud of what he does as an idol. He wanted BTS to be a bridge between the Idol and Hip Hop community. He has been very clear himself that Bts is a lifetime endeavor for him. This is a clap back to the Idol industry, and the Hip Hop scene that criticized them. Big Hit was fully supportive of his solo mixtape albums, they paid for and promoted them, just like his current solo work. I think he’s a genius. I am not going to say Army cuz I think it’s a trigger for you guys, so I will say the Fans have also been super supportive of all his solo work, to buy and promote it. There are interviews where he articulates quite well the fans role and where they stand with him. He doesn’t sugar coat things. Also, the toxic armies love to harass reactors. Also, some of them are not Army at all. They create fake accounts and strive to turn people off of BTS. When you have 25ish million people in a fan club, even the tiniest percentage of jerks is a big number, and they live to camp out in the YouTube comments to try to have instant gratification tormenting reactors, and Bts channels. They are mostly underage, immature, and delulu. Please recognize that most of us are good people just trying to share Bts in a safe space.

WittyRD

Yes this! Also on his show Suchwita he specifically mentioned how when he wrote and produced his first mixtape he was very angry at the way Khiphop and the general public were stereotyping them, and he felt he had something to prove to the haters. Sooo many of his solo songs are on my gym playlist lol. Love blasting his songs in the car too!

WittyRD

Thissss! In suchwita and in the DDay documentary he mentions coming up with the Agust D persona specifically to show another side of him that’s not part of BTS. When he’s producing for BTS he makes music that the whole team can identify with, with Agust D it’s him speaking more personally about things in his own life. Yoongi is a very sensitive, introspective person, and he’s been through/struggled a lot in his life. His Agust D music is more raw and unfiltered because he puts all his emotions into them as a form of therapy.

WittyRD

I think them being young men and having something to prove to the K Hip Hop industry is a big reason so much of the early rap line stuff went so hard. Lol. After a while they matured and had already proved what they wanted; then they were more free to enjoy other versions of themselves and genres/styles of music.

mey saelee

thank you for your sincerity and willingness to learn and grow. I always appreciate your thoughts and opinions which you are untitled to. you are correct in saying that some people not hear hard things. you know what they say "ignorance is bliss". but please continue being authentic and true to yourselves. E-man, I just wanna give you praise because I can see the growth and slowly opening up with time. I've been here from day 1 and will continue to support you guys. Here for it all. much love!

Mazouri Beasley

I agree! You worded it much better lol I think them getting more mature and rapping about things with more impact is great and I hope my comment didn’t come across otherwise!

Linda C.

You should listen to the Bts Cyphers, those are on Bts albums and were performed by rap line in concerts. I think the most telling songs about Suga, are Nevermind, Amygdala and Snooze. If you watch his documentary on Disney, Road to D-Day, you will be glad you did.

Gladeez (Gladys)

Words from Suga himself, the song is directed towards the Korean Rappers who constantly gave Suga and RM (former underground rappers) constant disrespect for joining a Idol group, when I tell y’all they got so much hate I’m not joking, also respectfully Eman was 100% off the mark with this song being directed towards the company and armys, im saying this not as a opinion, but literal fact, once y’all get into more interviews you’ll understand 💯, again all respect here, no hate, love the content

WittyRD

Yes! Please consider looking at it from a different perspective Jody & Eman. To say BTS is “holding any member back” brings up feelings of resentment and frustration. As artists they all have diverse interests and styles, personally I feel it’s a huge reason why BTS is so great! The solo activities let each member show off individually; sometimes the music/vibe is more of what we’ve already seen with BTS, other times it’s them showing us something new. No one is the same one note expression in every environment they exist, family, work, school etc. Toxic fandom aside, the vast majority of ARMY are so excited to see solo stuff and group projects. We want ALLLL the content! ☺️

WittyRD

Lol Jody may talk wild crazy sometimes but you gotta respect a person that owns up to incorrect assumptions when presented with evidence. 🙌🏽

WittyRD

Also for Eman the “I’m sorry” part is one of my fave on this track. Definitely recommend rewatching it and reading the lyrics closer. He’s saying sorry but in the most sarcastic way lol, it’s to the haters. He’s saying he stole their fave rappers success, the only thing the haters have left is their health and their moms will be sad to see them lose it. He’s not actually sorry at all about his position in BTS/as a rapper, it’s him offering “condolences” to the losers. 😂

WittyRD

I understood your meaning. I just expanded on it cus you make a good point.

C

BTS/no member would never write song dissing army’s or put army in a negative light …literally the most ‘negative’ song abt army is pied piper and it’s them telling us to study more 😭

WittyRD

Lmaoooo them trolling us to our faces. 🤦🏽‍♀️

Mabelmoon

I love that song, they know ARMY so well that this song makes me giggle and blush.

Jodys Corner

Whoooo! Cant wait to react to it and watch it

Linda C.

Makes it sound like I was trying to school you! I wasn’t. I just remember you saying that you believe what you hear from their own mouth, so I said it like that. It’s all 💕 for you guys.

BF3

Ngl, the Army comment surprised me. I thought maybe there were enough moments y’all have seen to prove it otherwise, but maybe those moments were overlooked or not taken seriously. As you see more content, I think your opinion towards Army’s love to BTS and BTS love to Army will change 💜 Suga has a deep love for Army - he once made 300 gifts for Army on his own birthday that he gave to fans in person at a fan event. He constantly gives us love, advice, and comfort in his live and in his lyrics. He’s cried on stage with us at his solo concert and has had amazing fan interactions. I highly recommend reacting to more Suga edits from trusted channels that show how caring he is towards us and the members. I’ll post a link to a good video about BTS and Army from a good editor Army channel: https://youtu.be/r4bL5l6WFjM?si=PJAIDcXAs9Vj1MoA Also, I always watch the MVs without subs first - MVs are meant to be enjoyed as its own medium bc they work hard to put it together and tell its own story. I watch it again with subs and then read the lyrics later from a trusted source. Or you can watch the lyric videos after watching the mv with no subs. Also, every mv has a behind the scenes which is fun to watch and you can get more information about the song from the source itself. As always, love watching y’all and look forward to In the Soop. You nice, keep going 😇✌️

peachmin88

Jody, please react to Jimin's Serendipity music video! I think you'll really love it (;

Linda C.

Request :) This is a link for Suga’s Live performance Nevermind. On a side note, this song is why Jimin has the Nevermind tattoo on his ribs. https://youtu.be/wGI0ScNzt0U?
