I really loved this series and your reaction to all the episodes! I was not following them since 2013, so I only know what I've learned through watching countless videos, interviews and shows. Jimin was quite unhappy with himself, but it was not that he had to look manly! He was struggling because people were mocking him about his weight. Either he was too 'fat' (he was never fat, he was just a bit chubby) or he was too thin. He is the shortest, so you probably know that the same 1 pound let's say looks different on a tall person than on a short one. So he was dieting all the time (to the point where he hardly ate), working out all the time and doing their very busy schedule. Fans were following his weight gain and loss all the time, so he was very self-conscious and felt he was never good enough. At some point he understood he shouldn't be concerned and stopped talking about his diet or his weight and he has become a lot healthier. He looks gorgeous, he did when he was still a teenager too no matter the weight, so I feel really bad that he was picked on for years and years. He always wanted to do better, never let himself rest, he thought it was slacking and not doing enough. He was concerned because he was not taught to sing when he was a trainee, he struggled to give the hip hop vibe because he learned modern dance. This guy was really working his ass off to become what he is today. Another thing: Big Hit was a small agency and they didn't have any idols who were successful before BTS. They did not have the 'recipe' how to launch a successful band and because the girls before BTS unfortunately flopped, the agency was struggling financially; all the money they spent on the girl band was lost. If I'm not mistaken, K-pop industry likes (or used to like) to set up these idol bands, like, style, characters, roles. Jimin was supposed to have the bad boy image with that ripped body that he had to show off in live performances, but he turned out to be an angel, so that was not working... Their stlying was very hip hop first and their albums were built around concepts (schoolboys for 3 albums etc.) There is no bad boy in BTS and as time passed, they were finding their own stlyes and changed the concepts fitting their ages. It worked out well and Jimin has become a lot happier, which makes me very happy too.

Jodyyyy Jimin was not happy with himself not because of his style, he was unhappy with himself back then for his body, he was super hung up on how his body looked, back then when he was a 17 year old teenage boy in 2014 that was his style at the time, it was true to himself at that time then which he liked, you aren’t gonna see him in the cross earrings and genderless clothing u see him in now as a grown 28 year old millionaire man who has matured into a more grown style throughout these 10+ years, he was a teenage boy back then, again his style at that time was what he liked, that wasn’t what he was unhappy about, it was his body, as you learn more about BTS through interviews and original content like documentaries and shows you will understand this better, as you gain more context that people who have know them longer have, all love bro 💜💜💜

I gotta say, my bias line is the Sus Trio, V, JK, and Jimin, but my absolute fav is V because of how fun he is, especially back here in older content when he was a teenager he’s so playful and hilarious bro is the life of the party while staying true to his inner child, I hope we get in the Soop season 1 and 2 soon it’s so fun plus it’s newer content too 🔥😭

.

I always feel bad for him. I really do hope he’s doing better when it comes to his weight cause I feel like I still see him say concerning things regarding his weight. In their last live when the other guys were talking about wanting to gain weight he was quick to say that he didn’t want to and even during face promotions he was talking about staying in the 50kg range🥴 but I guess that’s something that will take a while for him to completely grow out of. Jimin absolutely was struggling with the manly image that he was supposed to have at that time, he said so himself. Hiphop is inherently “manly”

Amaricymon'e

The members whose closest are the dance line they are also the most popular members but 3J are closer the 3 even said it themselves in the soop and in Bonvoyage they said it

WittyRD

Yea he’s mentioned before about his extreme dieting. I think the hardest part of the manly image was having to constantly be ripped and muscular. They alll struggled with dieting. The culture in Korea is very toxic around weight and dieting, Koreans are very open about weight shaming people and it’s not unusual for celebrities to mention being on strict diets or trying to stay under a specific weight. Jimin is shorter than the others, but he’s still 5’9” and weighing 50kg/110lb is very underweight. 🥺 I saw him mention that too during Face promos. I personally don’t think he’s actually 110lb, he’s very strong in his dancing so I know he’s toned and has to be at least 5-10lbs more than that. It’s likely how ppl like to say their weight but they shave a few pounds off the actual number lol.

I'm new as a member, I would like to know if there is any form of subtitles on Patreon, because I don't speak English. On YouTube there is automatic translation, but here, the CC key does not open subtitles.🙏🏾🥰

I don’t think airplane guy was paying them high wages, he was making them work for the money he already promised to sponsor their free concert. Flexing. He could have just split it between them. You would never talk to a new employee like that when you haven’t trained them. It was all entertainment, but he was kind of a dick, especially with that wax on wax off remark. I’m petty, I would have gone back later and flexed on him, maybe give him an autograph lol.

Linda C.

I also meant to say I can’t believe you have 85 Bts reactions already. Ty so much for that.

Jin being the oldest brother has to take that role seriously in Korea. He is kind of a caretaker, you see him cooking and paying for stuff more, especially when they are younger. When they are chaotic you will see him tap the guys on the shoulder and they straighten up before RM has to say something. But, at home Jin was the youngest and you can tell that a lot of the time he is the chaotic one and he has to reel himself in. He is very silly and tells dad jokes that most of us don’t get because they are Korean plays on words and you can tell the guys laugh mostly because they are not funny. There are many funny compilations of Jin as he is known for it. Sometimes he is the voice of reason, sometimes lol.

WittyRD

Lmaoooo no autograph from me! He was so irritating and acting self righteous.

Linda C.

Oh I would bust out my sarcasm for sure. They are too nice though. Bts never bring that stuff up again.

Please react to the actual FINALE of American Hustle Life! You gotta see the concert they gave!!! It's the culmination of everything they learned throughout the series.

Hi! I have met the boy (went to the same college) that was showing Jimin and jk how to clean the plane and he had told me the production team told them to act mean and be serious for the woah factor so that might have played a role in it🧍🏻‍♀️he mentioned also that they wanted it to add drama to it so hence the attitude ig. He said he just did what he was asked and now he deals with hate comments after they got famous, I had asked him why he made such comments and why the behavior was a bit rude ! It’s funny bc when I had first watched this I promised I would fight him if I ever met him bc it annoyed me how rude they came off, but I did and I didn’t fight😂😂

Linda C.

That’s an amazing story. The kid didn’t bother me but the older guy got on my nerves, especially since he was only giving 500 😊 I did see where people were being mean to that kid and that is sad.

Jodys Corner

Wow. Yeah, i knew it was all just a production

Jody, I'd love it if you explored Jin more. You're right that his true personality is introverted, but just like J-Hope he is also a true showman. He, for me, by. far, is the funniest man in BTS. A lot of physical comedy, dad jokes and perfectly timed sarcasm. Think Jim Carrey but actually funny. His humor got me through some really rough times. He'll do anything to make his brothers and us laugh! He's also the grandiose balladeer of the group (not that others don't sing ballads). The US and Japan are the biggest music markets in the world. Correct me if I'm wrong but I feel Jin's style is one that would be very popular in Japan which I personally think helped him get chosen. Edit: I just read online that Jin is the most popular member in Japan. See, BIG HIT covered all their bases! Many artists do lots of runs and acrobatics and think that that makes them a great singer. But, to me, a great singer is one that can tell a story and make you feel things deeply. Jin is that singer. 💜
