I hate that I have to do this but it has come to my attention that there is someone likely paying for my Patreon to take my videos for Apothecary Diaries to do 'multi-react videos' and upload them to YouTube.

If they were taking content I had already uploaded to YouTube I wouldn't have an issue. However, the issue comes from taking content from Patreon and releasing it to YouTube when I have not RELEASED IT myself.

This is absolutely not okay and I will not stand for this. I will be submitting a copyright request to YouTube to remove the content if they do not take the videos down. I am absolutely disgusted that someone would go to that level and not understand that it impacts me as a creator.

This is my intellectual property because it is MY thoughts and opinions in relation to that video. To upload content I have not uploaded myself is violating and not okay.

Please stop or I will take this further if I have to.

You're unfortunately not the only one i've seen this happen to. :/ If you take action against this you'll probably help out a lot of other creators that this is happening to as well. But it SUCKS that this is something that happens in the first place

If they just took content from my YouTube I honestly wouldn't have an issue. I recently found out there's a channel reuploading my videos with Japanese subtitles and I'm not even mad about it. It was content I had already shared and it's making it accessible. Multi-react compilations can be fun but to steal from Patreon and upload content I haven't even shown my YouTube audience yet is blatantly disrespectful to me as a creator. I know people will argue I don't have a leg to stand out but I work hard to make my content transformative. It's my thoughts and opinions and analysis. It's just not okay.

I just checked it and I saw that video and the channel. It’s blatant theft, that’s not how you use this Patreon, it’s supposed to be for supporting the creator, not taking advantage of them. It’s a shame this happened, this is a pretty healthy community for them to be doing this... I feel really bad for you and I’m not even the one affected 😭

I'm more upset that it is disrespecting my community more than it's theft. YT haven't seen these videos yet so it's really hurtful and disrespectful to post them before I EVEN get the chance to share it with them. Not to mention to violate the fact I offer Patreon early access too. It's just not okay.

Damn, I never even understood the point of multi-react videos as a viewer. People react at the same time so most of the time when something happens, it's just a mush of voices talking or screaming over each other. Although I will admit that I have found new creators, where the Youtube videos of reacts for specific show didn't exist at all, but the multi-react video had a link to their channel and from there to the Patreon page. But when the videos are still not released to YT yet, that's just bs to take those videos.

Yeah - this didn't even have a link to my YT channel or any of the other reactors. A lot of the reactors in the video have already finished S2 and posted it to YT but I haven't and the videos are being released a good 2 weeks ahead of when I upload them to YT which is disrespectful to me and my community. It's insane to me that someone can think that's okay. I have no issue with people repurposing my content that I've released on YT but to take it from Patreon is a whole other issue.

Even if they linked - I would still take issue that they are posting content I haven't even released to my own YT yet :(

It's the fact that I would happily let them share content I've already uploaded to YT. I've no issue with that. It's the stealing from Patreon and posting ahead of what I've shared to my own community. It's just disrespectful especially as a lot of the reactors featured HAVE finished S2 and shared that on YT too. They didn't need to include my videos if I wasn't up to date on S2.

Links to the creators is the minimum, if they're even somewhat respectable. At least then there's a potential benefit they're providing you by cross-promoting. It's still stealing other's content without providing anything of their own, but the whole react-space is a bit of a gray area depending on the creator. If I happen to come across similar multi-reacts using your patreon content, I'll refer the videos to you so you can take action if needed. Although I have developed such distaste towards the multi-reacts that my brain just filters them out and I don't even notice those videos when browsing Youtube, unless I focus on seeing them. 🤣

Unfortunately, taking and re-uploading patreon content is rather common. Hopefully it can get sorted, but that could be easier said than done. Shame it had to happen 🫂

Your content represents your unique thoughts and opinions, and it’s completely understandable that you would want to protect it. That is so gross! I am sorry you have to deal with it. As you said, if they had taken it from your YT reactions then it is kinda weird but also if they wrote proper credits it could send more viewers your way. But to lift it from the Patreon, and especially if you haven't put that episode on YT yet, it's incredible disrespectfull and in clear breach of the agreement we have by being members. I am dissapointed people like that are here
