"Wouldn't want to catch that to the head." Five seconds later- SPLAT!!😱

Just a brief reminder: Sakonji Urokodaki established early on that the main methods to eliminate a demon are through sunlight and decapitation with a special blade (Nichirin sword). This means that even if a demon sees its head torn off by another demon, it will not die. :D

I already realised in the video haha! You can hear me say "oh wait they've regenerative abilities!"

Oh I know youll have more to say next time. I like this first fight, because it begins to give us a wider variety of the strength of different demons. The strongest one before this was that morphed demon in Final Selection, and now these ones are stronger in a different way. Although I will admit, the arrow demon is my least favorite so far 😂 Regarding the hair, those are just design choices. You'll see many characters with wild designs and different colors. People makes jokes with anime all the time like, "oh, this character has a wild/colorful design, that means they're important" vs "oh this character just looks like an NPC, they don't matter to the plot" 😂

I think this is a great fight, some amazing animation, and some interesting characters, but this is one of the worse paced episodes, imo. I think that's something that's easier to see on a re-watch, but I'm curious if you noticed at all as a first time viewer? There were a few moments that dragged on longer than necessary, some repeated scenes after the commercial break, flashbacks to things that happened extremely recently, and lingering shots that didnt add much after the first few seconds. Usually, Demon Slayer is pretty good about NOT doing these things, but I felt like the anime team knew where they wanted this episode to end and padded it out to reach that point. Other shows like One Piece are WAY worse about this, but I dont believe it's a topic I've heard you address? Granted, most shows youve watched dont have this issue come up often.

I reacted the saaame way when homeboy was decapitated with a ball. Seeing his head regenerate was creepy af though. I thought after AOT I would be immune to graphic violence/gore but I guess not lol.
