The comment I made the other day was about the final line of this episode. Where Ed called the father a “third string”. In the DUB Ed says “get up you novice, it’s time to show how outclassed you really are. This time you lose!” In both, it’s in reference to father Cornello wayyyyyy back in episode 3. Episode 62 is the culmination of so much effort, so much pain, and it’s truly a masterpiece of an anime. Can’t wait for you to see the end!

We're finally here! In my experience, FMAB is the only piece of media I've ever consumed where the ending is truly, entirely, perfect. There are so many different characters and plotlines, and the ending to all of them just are the best they could be. Excited to watch your reaction to the last two! Btw, I think episodes 63&64 are best watched back-to-back if you'd be willing to do it :)

What a fantastic point you made about the other Homunculi finding human connections through various means, and because the Father divested himself of them, he could not. That never occurred to me before. My immediate next thought is of isolation. The Father and Sloth lived existences isolated from all others. Pride, Wrath, and Greed went out into the world and mingled with humans and found connection through their interactions in different ways. Lust, Gluttony, and Envy had each other, and also interacted with humans to varying extents. The Father would sometimes see the Homonculi or high command to give orders, but seemed to largely sit on his throne, separate from the world. I don't really know where I'm going with this, but I guess I'm wondering how that intertwines with other aspects of the Father/Homonculi being able to make connections?

I just knew you're gonna be a sobbing mess this episode mainly because of Al's sacrifice. Didn't stop me from crying again with you, though. 😂 A bit sad we're down to the last 2 eps. Love listening to your theories and predictions and I can't wait for you to see which of them comes true and not 😌💕

Alphonse's sacrifice really cemented his #1 spot in my FMAB character rankings. He trusts his brother so much that he is able to make such a drastic choice with zero hesitation

Goddammit. I've got a meeting in fifteen minutes and look like I've come from a funeral lol Its like the 10th time I've seen this and I'm still a soggy mess.

I have watched FMAB for over 30 times now, but every time when I see Al willing to sacrifice his soul in oreder to bring his brother's arm back it always make me cry🥲 I love the point you said about the Truth, tbh most people don't think that deep and if so they only can conclude it after Ep. 63 and 64. And you even check back Ep.2 to reference it.👏 I hope you will be watching OVAs as well as I love them as well, but only few youtuber react on those. I'm sure you will love it. One last thing, you should see the ED of EP.63 and 64, because they are different. Thanks for your reaction!

This episode never fails to make me emotional. Al's sacrifice, specifically. It's such an amazing and heartbreaking moment. You made a ton of great points, great analysis. Just have to wait and see next episode. I've watched this show several times now, and other newer animes, and this is, still, my favorite.

Yeah you can finish this show without crying, sorry. Not going to get better. We're coming to the end of the arc of most characters, can't wait to see your opinion on the finale.

This show has one of the best endings EVER. Every win, every loss, every death, every survival, literally every aspect of the ending is so well done and just utter perfection. This whole story is, really.
