Gojo the icon 😂

Aki Himura

So far your pronunciation of all the names is on point!

so excited to see your analysis of the rest of this series! i think you'll really enjoy dissecting some of the characters that pop up later on

editing my comment to avoid confusion: i thought the tattoos were only visible for us as viewers but it was just a theory that was popular on twitter during the first few volumes or so of jjk’s manga before confirmation by another character**

Gojo gives me strong Kakashi vibes. You might not know Naruto. If not, it doesn't matter.

Gojo the GOAT! 🥰

The collecting of your dead relative's bones with special chopsticks is a real traditional Japanese cremation, yes! It's called 骨上げ (kotsukage, lit. bone raising) and it's usually done by more relatives at once, not just Yuji like in this case, where they do it from bottom to top to orient the remains correctly in the urn.

I talked about this in my outro 😊 I presume you posted this before seeing my outro discussion haha!

Torje Amundsen

I only caught the very part where you started asking about it and stopped right before you went ahead and looked it up LOL that's my bad, very unfortunate timing on my part

Torje Amundsen

I basically heard you ask about it in the discussion, got really excited cause I know about this and could explain it, but then ran out of time while writing so I posted the explanation and then couldn't keep watching lmao

DrSophieDarlingReacts

Haha yeah I thought that might have been the case! Still appreciate the context though!

Goldie

the way you have immediately imprinted on Gojo is so relatable ✊😔 we've all been there

Just starting this journey because I have been terrified to dislike JJK, because I loooove the design of the main characters. But ofc I finally got the guts to see it now since I know it will be "with" you :) I Don't usually comment on old posts like this, but the talks about deaths and traditions made me think. I think where I am (Norway), we handle death very similar to England. Basically let the funeral home deal with the body and go to the funeral. But I still remember the story of someone who had the unfortunate loss of having their baby be stillborn. It was early spring time, so still very cold. And they could not bear the thought of leaving their baby at the hospital. so they dressed her in the coming home clothes, swept her in blankets, and brought her home. They kept the windows in their living room open so the temperature was very chilly. And in Norway funerals are up to 1wk after a death. So they kept the baby in the living room in her cradle, and their older child (at about 4-5 I think) would sit and sing to the baby, and the parents would sit and tell the baby stories or sing to them. And they where not in denial, they knew she would not come back, and the other kid knew that their baby sister was not alive. But by doing it like that, the parents where able to mourn, and the sibling wasn't left confused and worried about death either. The grandparents also visited, and they buried the baby after a little less than a week "as scheduled". I am not planning on having children, but I think that if I was ever to unfortunate to experience that type of loss - knowing that that is a possibility is very comforting. We are allowed to, and even encouraged, to bring back pets after they have passed. to let the other pets smell them or let kids realize that their doggy/kitty won't come back. So in a sense, I feel it is strange that we just leave people in a fridge somewhere and not let them also come home. Ofc that is not possible in the summer, but the colder months it should be very possible.

That is so tragic but beautiful. I'm glad that was a healing experience for them ❤️
