I think these “slower” episodes are one of the reasons why Monster stood out to me in terms of storytelling. It helped to flesh out the characters and the world-building while also maintaining the themes of the story too. I honestly don’t know how to feel about gunman’s story with the little girl. It’s messed up on many levels so I can’t see it in a positive light as much as I want to…
