Its time for another opening fun fact! Remember how i mentioned that at the end theres a picnic scene where the characters show up as they are introduced in the show? There are 3 exceptions to that, aside from Itadori (who as a protag obs has to be there from the begining): Megumi, Gojo and..... JUNPEI (and he is wearing the jujutsu high uniform and everything) As you can imagine, when this ep came out everyone was like "BUT HE WAS IN THE OP 😭😭 THE RULES SAY THAT HE HAS TO BE PART OF THE GANG 😭😭" so... yeah. I wanted to mention it before but i knew at that point it would make it obvious for you that he would die lol

JUNPEIII, he was a vulnerable kid and Mahito took advantage of him, it’s not fair 😭😭😭😭😭 Piggybacking of the discussion/comments from yesterday’s episode: JJK fandom can be a bit overbearing at times about the power system. While I do think it’s important to understand it, personally I prefer to analyze it as a medium for storytelling and to explore the themes of the story, instead of discussing if character A can win against character B in a fight. For example, Junpei’s cursed technique is poison. Poison is considered a “women’s weapon” (“a weapon for the weak”), how does that relate with his character arc? His mom talked about how there are many aquariums in life and his shikigami ends up resembling a poisonous marine animal. Being a curse user was a new aquarium, but was it better than his previous aquarium?

I was shocked to see Junpei go down so suddenly and in that tragic way. He was truly a pawn to be used and tossed away, and I definitely didn't see it coming. So heartbreaking. I have been thinking about this episode ever since I watched it.

In Japanese it's pronounced 'Skoona' as the U is silent :) so I'm saying it accurately to the SUB. In English it would be Su Ku Na which is what I was saying until I listened to the name being said on repeat and it's 'Skoona' in Japanese.

I’m late to this one but I haven’t seen Junpei’s death scene in a long while. Still shed tears, poor boy 😢 I was watching season 1 when it was being released and this episode is the only time I skipped the ending for this season. Since it’s so upbeat and happy I wasn’t feeling it lol 😂 Otherwise literally one of my top anime endings the style and the song are so fun
