Mahito never fails to piss me off 🙂‍↔️

There seemed to be a issue with the footage being cropped a bit too much, hiding alot of the subtitles. Should be back when it's fixed 👍🙂

Sorry guys/gals/girls/yags but Nanami >>>> Gojo (Geto Is a guilt pleasure sorry not sorry)

Atena

I love Nanami 💛💙 This is extra content not mentioned in the story, so I think it's nice to share: According to the Jujutsu Memorandum, retired sorcerers cannot practice jujutsu unless there's an imminent danger. The fly head was not an imminent threat, which means Nanami broke the rules just to help the bakery girl. And there are punishments for not following the rules! Also, he never came back to the bakery after that day.

Ahhhh I can’t wait for you to learn more about Geto…..some of my favorite parts of this series

the way you are able to make so many really accurate inferences from very small breadcrumbs in the source material amazes me 🤩

Would it help to know I'm a chronic overthinker in everything I do haha! :') My brain constantly interrogates things!

Thats so relatable 🥲 I saw someone analyse jujutsu sorcery by saying its not the awesome powerbuff/superpower thats often presented in shounen anime, but that sorcerers are essentially weaponising karmic and psychological shackles. This ep is very much Nanami having that clarity about what the true nature of jujutsu sorcery is and hes trying to guide Yuji through that transition of realising that he’s not got a cool new superpower but a heavy responsibility that will be at odds with his values. In thinking of sorcery as a set of shackles that binds sorcerers to a curse theyre trying to escape, its really apparent that Nanami is the character set up to exemplify this the most blatantly early on in the narrative.

I support the idea that Nanami said to Yuji at the end of the episode because as the old saying goes, one person's good is another person's bad.

Possibly an interesting tidbit as it may come up again later: When Nanami narrated (in the manga it was the narrator, in the anime Nanami thinks it) that “there is no one in this world more proud and conceited” the actual phrase used is “tenjō tenge yuiga dokuson” (天上天下唯我独尊)/ "Above heaven and below heaven, I alone am the honored one” a Buddhist proverb associated with Buddha/Siddhartha Gautama (supposedly his first words). Gege Akutami (JJKs author) wrote in comments that there are many connotations to it but they like using it in the arrogant sense of the phrase.

It's easy to get confused about curses and cursed spirits, but... Just kidding 😂 don't kill me please jajsjsj. I got to the 38-minute mark and couldn't resist making the joke. Great analysis, you're doing an amazing job Sophie! Thank you, sincerely. I'm enjoying JJK more than ever thanks to you:)

Mahito is grateful Nanami pushed him to the point he unlocked his domain for the 1st time
