Absolutely my favorite arc so far in the anime, looking forward to this one with you sophie

Breaking bad next episode?

Can you not? It's out when it's out. I'm literally editing 3 videos for Patreon after I've just finished work! I've been in work since 7am so maybe just be patient and wait.

Definitely one of the more fun comedic episodes in my opinion. And a great setup for the arc! I dont remember why I didnt like this episode the first time I watch it, but my opinion definitely changed on rewatches. Hearing your take on it was the most enjoyable so far! By the way, there's some fun remixes of Zenitsu playing the shamisen in that one scene on youtube, if you're interested.

I completely understand your perspective in your intro. If the show continues to kill off Hashira in quick succession, it could indeed diminish the emotional weight of Rengoku's death. His loss was so impactful because it shattered the illusion of invincibility surrounding these elite fighters as you mentioned. However, I think there’s on the flip side a compelling narrative angle to consider⚠️👀 The story could use these losses to emphasize just how overwhelmingly powerful the Upper Ranks are. 😈🆚️😵 Remember the end of Season 1? It was mentioned that the Upper Ranks haven't been defeated or replaced in over a century, and we saw how Akaza toyed with Rengoku during their battle. While losing more Hashiras would certainly be frustrating, it could also highlight further the brutal reality of this war. It underscores that defeating Muzan will require everything the characters have, pushing Tanjiro and his friends to grow and adapt quickly. Additionally, it could keep really the audience on their toes. After Rengoku's death, viewers might easily assume that the remaining Hashira are safe for a while. If the creators were to deliver another shocking loss soon after 🤯, it would break the rules, those expectations, heighten the stakes and keep us on the edge of our seats and engaged in the story.

Hello Sophie! So, the Yoshiwara District has a long history! It opened in 1617, during the Edo period, as a way to control prostitution and trying to contain it to one single location in Edo (it didn't work) and closed in 1958, when Japan outlawed prostitution. It went through lots of changes during its existence and developped its own culture, and even dialect. The little girls are kamuro, the attendants/apprentices of the Oiran. They help her with everything while learning their "trade" from her. They won't become prostitutes until the Oiran declares them ready and until then, all expences needed for their eduction (food, clothes, education, etc...) were the Oiran's responsability. Also, the name "Entertainement District" is anime exclusive, as a censoring measure! Loved the reaction and can't wait to the next one <3

It's more we've already had that reiterated so we don't need it again. The more repetitive it gets in using tropes, the weaker the writing and emotional impact it has on the viewers. They need to pace it out rather than just throwing death after death at us.

On second thought, probably best to wait until the end of the season for those youtube videos! Just remembered the one I'm thinking of has short clips from later in the season mixed in.

You're spot on about pacing, good writing needs breathing room to let the deaths actually matter. I guess I'm just looking at it from the shock-value perspective. Usually, creators give the audience time to breathe, so doing the exact opposite would be a massive curveball. But I agree with you that if they don't pace it right, it just becomes exhausting instead of impactful. Let's see if this arc manages to surprise us without falling into that trap! 😉

Tanjiro's reaction to telling a lie will never not be funny!

As well as how seriously he takes Tengen when he calls himself a God. He's too pure

Didn't want to say it last episode in case you didn't know, but the arc its actually called red light district arc lol, apparently someone at crunchy hq decided it was too much. (I just checked my crunchy and at least in spanish its still called that, nice). I remember hearing that it was quite scandalous with parents in japan when they announced it, since its tecnically for kids, being a shonen and all. You'd think a dude that flashy, who has 3 wives, paints his nails, and who knows what else woud have some basic makeup knowledge, but alas

i really liked this episode. a much needed breather from the last heavy episodes. this silly quartet with each of them having such a different personality is just a 10/10.

To be fair to Uzui, he did try to infiltrate into the district himself first but that failed so sending in his wives was his last resort. And once he knew they were in danger, he quickly recruited Tanjiro, Zenitsu and Inosuke to rescue them. I can’t wait for you to know more about Uzui and his wives! They’re really great!
