We're in the final 4 episodes so time to do another poll. As requested - keeping it to shorter shows!

Violet Evergarden is not on this list as I'll be watching it after Monster then followed by Cowboy Bebop

Haikyuu is not on this list because it will be after Demon Slayer.

HxH is too long for the poll. It'd mean no poll vote for a significant time. I'll eventually do HxH but it'll replace one of my other slots. Just haven't figured out which slot I'd want it to replace and when because it means being locked into it for around a year and a half. There's a lot of shorter shows I'd want to get through first. As for older shows like Code Geass - I try to keep them as options for replacing the likes of Monster and Cowboy Bebop. That's my slot for less popular reacts for YouTube because unfortunately Code Geass doesn't get the same attention given to it so I try to balance watching older shows with less hype with more recent so my channel isn't impacted too heavily by the algorithm.

Code Geass is fantastic and my favourite mecha anime ever but I gotta say a few parts of it haven't aged very well. Lelouch is a goated protagonist though, hopefully it makes the list one day

I hope Delicious in Dungeon wins a poll someday. Before they even got anime adaptations, Frieren, Witch Hat Atelier, and Delicious in Dungeon (Dungeon Meshi) were the big three of fantasy. And all three got great, really good anime adaptations, which I still find hard to believe even now. Anyway, Spy x Family is a great anime, I think you'll love it and it'll spark some good conversations and opinions from you.

Not sure if Spy x Family qualifies as a shorter show, it has 50 episodes out already with more to come. I haven't seen all of these but Edgerunners is very compact at only 10 episodes, the story moves quick and hits HARD

It classifies as a shorter show in my eyes. 50 episodes is really not that long. Orb is 24. Delicious in Dungeon is 24. They're also not 'short' in terms of category but I'm basing the poll on what I consider to be short :)

I hear you, but HxH is just one of those ones! 😅 Not saying you should replace a short show with it. HxH is just such a trip that it's a bit agonizing that you can't get around to it sooner

It's between Cyberpunk and Delicious in dungeon for me. Hard to pick between the 2 but I'm going for cyberpunk because delicious in dungeon will give me food envy. These animators are getting too good at recreating food 🤭

I have a bias towards Orb so I hope it wins. I watched Erased when it was coming out and Madoka Magica a few years after it came out and, they're good! If any lf those win, it might be time for me to rewatch them with you. SpyxFam is such a fluffy show with action so it might be good for you if you're watching heavy shows. Delicious in Dungeon really delivers true to its title and more! Also looking forward to Haikyuu!!!, the first sports anime I liked. I was skeptical about sports anime but my friend urged me to watch it and I finally understood the appeal. Plus, the characters are just so lovable in Haikyuu!!!. Ready your tissues for Violet Evergarden is all I can say.

You're so right, sports anime are definitely slept on! I understand why people might be skeptical if they don't like real-life sports, but when they're done well, they are just so fun, relaxing, full of heart and surprisingly of great life lessons. Haikyuu!! really nails that balance. 🏐👐

Not sure if it's the right place to give recommandations, but for short shows I really hope to see The Summer Hikaru Died, Gachiakuta and Link Click (it's a Chinese anime/donghua but it's so good and absolutely worth it !). I don't know if you're already familiar with some of them but I hope you can check them out one day

I haven't seen any of these so i just voted for a couple I'm curious about; very excited for Violet Evergarden and Haikyuu!! I also just remembered that I wanted to recommend "To Your Eternity" if you haven't seen it yet! I was watching it when S1 was airing and it's absolutely gorgeous and completely heart-shattering! I know you have a long list of recs already so I wouldn't expect to see it anytime soon lol, just wanted to throw it out there before I forget again ♥

Orb would be appropriate for the channel as it's deep with themes, but Spy x Family is definitely a fun one to watch and is still a popular show among the anime community. I'm glad Cowboy Bebop is eventually coming to the channel. I'm hoping to Steins;Gate for this channel as it is the highest rated time-traveling anime of all time with it being an emotionally driven story. I've seen several other channels react to this series, and for those who would place AoT and Vinland Saga as their top 2 anime, Steins;Gate is usually their third one. It's a little bit of a good time to be into Steins;Gate as a visual novel remake is about to be released and a Hollywood live-adaptation in production.

Cyberpunk is won anime year award and it’s only a 10 episode show. Won’t take long to finish and it’s one of the most beautifully animated shows. Since it’s based on the game, there’s already a really rich background and history in the show I think you would really enjoy

That makes sense. Will definitely be super excited when you do get to them though! Also just some potential suggestions for poll options when you have more filming availability in the future, Fruits Basket and Nastume’s Book of Friends have some of the most heart touching and wholesome but bittersweet story lines I’ve ever come across in the slice of life genre and neither are too complicated plot wise or even close to being as long as HxH lol I feel like you would really enjoy either of these two and I just know your tender hearted, compassionate soul would absolutely ADORE a few very specific characters I have in mind 😆 and I will admit Code Geass has a penchant for absolutely unnecessary and completely unsolicited sexual fan service lmao but alas, thus was the era 💀 imo it’s a pretty negligible amount and the writing still remains peak and +1000000000 IQ. Still think it has one of the greatest endings of all time in fiction, not just anime/manga. Definitely in top 3.

Erased and Madoka are top tier. Madoka, whatever you think or hear, will be one the best without a doubt,it undermines preconceptions and exceeds expectations Madoka in particular reaches a greatness and excellence I only saw equaled when I finally caught up with Attack on Titan. The same with Fate/Zero. Fate/Zero is by the same writer as Madoka, and equally great in its writing and characters. I hope it someday makes the list for a poll.
