I love this episode both my favourite moments involve fushiguro. Him doing a domain expansion is mad, at his age even an incomplete one is impressive and the classic " fushiguros being hit on" bit.

A note on Megumi's trump card. You mentioned him potentially using it against Hanami during your discussion and you would be correct! He does the same hand sign he uses here in the episode before switching to using his domain expansion. Also this was much earlier in the season but during ep5, right before Itadori returns to his body and "dies", megumi does the same hand sign there too against sukuna, even saying the same words "Sacred treasure, swing----". Going even further back! i believe it was the end of episode 1 or the start of episode 2 where megumi does the hand sign again when sukuna shows up for the first time. So yea, he's pulled it out a few times :( . Those reminders aside this was a great reaction and discussion

Oh yea and a very short note, both Gojo(before Jogo's domain scene) and Nanami(while trapped in Mahito's domain) have mentioned a few times that Domain expansions are the pinnacle of jujutsu, so watching Megumi pull it off as a student is wildly impressive!

You are fantastic. I don't think you are really missing anything, it's just that JJK likes to either trickle out info or dump it on you all at once. As for the cursed spirits looking the same, I had that same question and had to turn to Reddit. They said that when a weak curse consumes a finger it becomes a cursed womb and what emerges is a Finger Bearer like we saw twice so far. I don't know if I blinked and missed this explanation but that is what I was told.

I remember when this episode came out I saw a lot of comments on Megumi trying so hard to be a team player even when he probably does just as well if not better solo, since with his shikigami he already has his perfectly coordinated team. Also no wonder the kid has no motivation to be a jujutsu sorcerer, he's only doing it so he and his sister could have money, and we know jujutsu society is shit, so of course they exploited that. I love love love the fact that Tsumiki technically isn't his sister, we dont even know for how long they knew each other before their parents disappeared (Im only mentioning it bcit seemed that not long passed between thwir parents "hooking up" and Gojo showing up), yet they stood by each other despite the hard times and disagreements. And speaking of Gojo... thats NOT how you say to a kid whose parents are awol that hes been sold 😭 what is wrong with him 😭lmao

I have used Gojo words to Megumi in my everyday life so many times. At the end of the day no matter how many friends you have when you die, you’ll be alone so why not swing for the fences every day you wake up breathing?

What are you talking about? Yugi is the most hated character in the show for good reason. He’s one of the most boring protagonist out of shonen in the modern era. Basically a bland Naruto in a Bleach world. Everyone would prefer Megumi and Maki were the Main Characters we followed. Yugi is only interesting when Sakuna takes over.

Nobara being the Daphne of JJK is hilarious because in the live-action Scooby-Doo she's also a badass. Edit: Btw Megumi hitting that domain expansion at 14 y/o. Barely even half a semester into his 1st year. That's our boy!!! Also....lol You wouldn't believe how many people in the fandom still believe Tsumiki is Megumi's half-sibling to this day. Perhaps, it's because some believe calling someone a step-sibling/parent is equivalent to calling someone an acquaintance, instead of friend. But it's a very important distinction, in storytelling
