I'm glad you'll be starting Edgerunners. I personally think it makes the most sense out of everything that was polled with it to be hit and out of the way quickest, as opposed to something like spy family, which is short by your definition, having around 4 or 5 times the content length of Edgerunners though, I'd say it's more medium length and will take a much longer time to go through. This isn't to say SpyxFamily is bad because it isn't, but Edgerunners is super impactful for its length and will be well worth the time. One note for Edgerunners, I do hope you'll watch it in English as it's technically the native language and has slang that translates smoother in English

I’m really excited that you’re starting Edgerunners! I just wanted to gently add another perspective on the whole “watch it in English because it’s Night City / the native language” argument. I totally get why many English-speaking viewers prefer the English dub, and I’ve watched both versions myself. The English dub has some great moments and some lines land really well. But as an international viewer, English isn’t my native language either, so the “it feels more natural in English” argument doesn’t really apply to everyone in the audience. For me, Japanese still feels like the original anime version — it’s also marked as the original audio on Netflix — and I personally think the JP voice acting carries a lot of the emotional weight really well. I’m German, and some people here even watched the German dub, so everyone’s “best” version can be different depending on their language background. So I’d just love it if you maybe reconsider before choosing English by default. I think Japanese with subtitles would be the fairest middle ground for an international audience, even if the English dub is absolutely valid too.
