UGH I HAVE TO WAIT ANOTHER 2 HOURS NOO99

Valde

Let’s go I’m hypeddd 🙏🏻

OriginalsFX

I’ve noticed that in JJK, you have to learn to focus on yourself to truly reach your potential. Being deeply caring or constantly putting others before yourself, like Yuji, Geto, or early Megumi, doesn’t seem to work in this world. Even the power system, especially Domains, emphasizes understanding yourself and knowing what you’re capable of. That’s why Yuji’s growth is so interesting. He had to stop defining himself solely by what he could do for others and find his own strength and purpose. JJK never really says caring about others is bad, but it does show that you can’t completely lose yourself for them. Sometimes becoming stronger means understanding who you are and choosing your own path.

Zarroc

I'm with you, I just got to work 😭

izimatsara

Todo using his domain expansion "unparalleled delusion" to beat up mahito remains one of the best jjk moments

DrSophieDarlingReacts

Nobara had clocked on far quicker than Itadori and Megumi. Prioritising what matters most to her was her acknowledgement that she will die protecting those that she loves, but outside of that she has a role as a Jujutsu Sorcerer and if that means exorcising curses and transmuted humans to protect those she loves, she'll do it without hesitation.

Guru_Rick_

mahito pushed the wrong person to the limit the look of horror on mahito when he realized now yuji could exorcise him

Patreon Account

I like Solo Leveling lol, the aura farming is next level in that show haha

Hauxley Kernick

Next episode you won’t be so worried for Mei Mei. Also that isn’t spoiling since it could mean multiple things

Brandon

Great reaction and breakdown once again! And the visuals really are top notch in this episode. The cog mentality breakdown you said is so good, it’s a double edge sword really. It’s sad because Yuji kind of loses his identity in a way, but accepts that he needs to do this as a sorcerer and to survive and move on. With that, Mahito’s true form doesn’t really have any features to it besides a mouth, also like he has no identity. Just adds another layer to the “I am you” relation Yuji and Mahito have. But I really love the difference is that in episode 20 Mahito says he’ll kill Yuji and “eventually forget him too” where Yuji is the opposite; “I will kill you every time you’re reborn”

Hauxley Kernick

Poop now I gotta wait a week for more I’m so hyped for a show I watched four times already lol. If that doesn’t show how much your reactions enhance the shows you watch nothing does

Marcos Roberto

Sukuna smiling to mahito through all that is really funny.

Cael

Sometimes we forget that Todo is just an 18 year old boy... in order to cope with the pain and everything crazy going on, he imagined his idol fighting alongside him 🥹 gotta love Todo

Kapriece Kroeger

OH MY GOD, I havent even started the full reaction yet, but if you do watch Solo Leveling that would be amazing!!! Its one of my favorite animes and I think you'd love it!!

C

If you want something close to jjk, I think Bleach is definitely is one to look into.

Logan G

As much as we all hate Mahito, we have to give respect to his voice actor for his phenomenal work bringing that character to life in such a perfect way. In fact, all the voice work has been pretty spectacular this season.

beaverfurr240

I hope you start hxh, It's a really good shonen that even inspired gege the author of jjk a lot so I think you'll like it.

B

What clown don’t want you watch Solo Leveling 🫣

DrSophieDarlingReacts

I get backlash every time on YouTube when I mention it 🙈 but I also had similar reactions when I mentioned Demon Slayer!

agmnii

As someone who read the entire Solo Leveling manwha, I’m allowed to be upset it beat Frieren for anime of the year

Zarroc

Just a random fyi, Mahito very much did touch Sukuna's soul during the domain expansion, that's how he talked to him. Mahito mentioned excluding Yuji from the domain to say that he could not do that because he had already done it before and it wouldn't work again.

Luifer Chacon

Being honest I personally think that Solo Leveling is the most McDonald Nugget show, it isn’t good I just watched the whole thing because I felt like I wanted that, was it good? Not really, do I remember any of the characters? Nop. Did I learn anything from it or got emotional? Not at all. But it was alright

fuwafuwari~

"What happened to Mei Mei?" 😭😭

DrSophieDarlingReacts

My discussion was BEFORE Mahito spoke to Sukuna. I'm aware that he touched his soul. That was obvious when they spoke. I paused before that scene. Give me some grace haha! I can't predict what was going to immediately happen unfortunately, and there was no indication prior that it wasn't to bypass touching completely until shown otherwise 🙈 I did also discuss the excluding of the domain not working because we saw in S1 with Nanami 😊

squalor and splendor

idk if it has been mentioned but i think you would love the summer hikaru died

Luifer Chacon

Sorry if my comment was rude, I just never put my thoughts about solo leveling into words and I thought about placing it as a comment, I respect that you want to watch it, and if you enjoy it that’s amazing, it has really good animation.

DrSophieDarlingReacts

It definitely has mixed feelings but I'm going in with curiosity as I wanna see why it's so popular haha! Similar to how I played DS2 🙈

Zarroc

Yeah sorry I was just saying it bc I wasnt sure if you caught it and it was an interesting tidbit to me, that's all 😅

Zarroc

Just smirking the whole time 😂😂

Alexandre Mortier

Hey Sophie, great reaction and analysis as always, can’t wait for the next! On a personal note, just wanted to say thanks for your reactions inspiring me. Been working in/for Hollywood for years after being recruited as a student back in the day, but your analyses made me realise I’ve started seeing shows and characters too stereotypically/ as parts of archetypes and functions more than individual characters and my joy and original insights were kind of gone. (To sum up something complex in a nutshell) Now I’m moving to the UK in 2 weeks for a PhD to rediscover that joy and try to reaquire a way of analysing stories and characters from a fresh perspective again. So a sincere thanks for playing a part in that! So glad I stumbled onto the channel during the early AOT days.

Alexander Boston

HxH is my fav 🖤 Down for whatever though!

MediumHawk64

Solo Leveling isn't a bad show to watch per se, its story telling is definitely not its strong point (it's not awful, it just doesn't have much going for it) but i think it'll be a nice change of pace. It probably won't have as much things to analyze but it will at the very least be good eye candy (good animation) and it's probably one of the best shows for what it's meant to be (an action-filled power fantasy).

JVSkol

Yuji the kid has died Itadori the cog has been born

JVSkol

The reason why Gojo admonished Megumi after the baseball game, to be a Jujutsu Sorcerer is to be beholden only to yourself and who is the strongest sorcerer in history? the must full of himself character in the show

Sonja Seren

The Forest Scene was one of the most visually stunning scenes in the series. Mahito being the scared rabbit was the moment you could see he and Itadori swap places. Itadori was done with being tormented by his own emotions. He would help and carry on for the others by being another wolf in the pack.

OriginalsFX

It definitely is! I love Solo Leveling—I just wish the story were a little stronger. People who’ve read ahead say it gets even better later, so I’m hoping that’s true. The story isn’t as entertaining to me as JJK, but Jin-Woo is an awesome protagonist, and Solo Leveling absolutely delivers on what it does well.

OriginalsFX

Obviously abilities matter, but I agree with you. So far, the strongest people in the show also happen to have the biggest egos: Gojo, who’s extremely full of himself, and Sukuna, who somehow has an even bigger ego. Abilities clearly matter, but JJK also seems to suggest that a certain level of self-belief and ego is necessary to reach that level of strength.

Plunge

people can way what they want about solo leveling, but it doesn't fail to be entertaining

Fae

Speaking of things to watch after JJK, I heartily recommend Hunter X Hunter. Many, many excellent top tier shows have taken inspiration from it, JJK included. I saw that it was an option on a poll recently, so I really hope you go for it! Also if you're wondering, the 2011 version is the correct one to watch, it starts from the beginning and not from where the 90s version left off.

DrSophieDarlingReacts

Omg that's so exciting!!! So proud of you starting your PhD journey and I'm honoured to have played a small role in that 😭❤️

Fennec

I'm not sure if incident is enough, we might have upgraded to a kerfuffle.

Aldryx_Thetahart

Mahito killed Yuji’s heart. Now Yuji is ready and more than willing to tear Mahito’s out.

Jay Fischetti

6:50 Oh we're about to find out what the set up is for Season 3...Everything has been building up for it. It's all about those central themes.

Paul Atkins

A cool little detail from the animators in this episode is that they inserted sentences into the impact frames, most notably in Itadori's final Black Flash against Mahito, Itadori has "I WILL EXORCISE YOU" written across his shoulders.

Casper Andersen

Mahitos voice actor is just so freaking good, almost makes you feel for him with the performance and visuals... Almost.. (I still hate him)

Gpinko

Gosh these past two episodes were a whirldwind for Yuji.....Todo really came in at a perfect moment for him, and said what he needed to hear. Serious trauma. He looked dead inside by the end of this episode and seeing where we started from in Episode 1 of JJK is just...ah. So heartbreaking to see. Why all of these powerful jujutsu sorcerers just seem like they lack empathy, but in reality theyve just experienced soooooo much. Too much. Ahhh i hope you enjoy Solo Leveling! I truly love and adore Demon Slayer immensely, with any faults, but Solo Leveling....is not a favorite of mine. I see why people like it, but its just not a top for me. (And quite frankly, Frieren or Apothecary Diaries should've won those awards against it lol) But I hope you like it! Either way, you'll have things to say about it. Until then, one last season of JJK to enjoy (?) 😂😭

Violet

Todo: Boogie Woogie is dead Itadori: Meet the Boogie Man

Violet

Tadaka-chan getting her two-piece in cracks me up! Todo's passion for jujutsu sorcery is very inspiring

domi

For me, the worst thing abt Mahito is that hes actually funny😂 I hate that he makes me laugh Itadori going from speaking abt exorcizing to killing.... :(

Lore

I think this also goes to show why people like Todo and Meimei, who have unique techniques but aren't necessarily considered "powerful" In that way, are able to accomplish as much as they are as Grade 1 sorcerers. Being extremely about your shit and confident in that knowledge goes a long way.

Kaylee Hubbard

I’ve seen someone comment that Todo uses weaponized schizophrenia against his enemies and it kills me
