If Himejima is too difficult to pronounce the fans have a nickname for him, GODjima. You're right to recall Genya and Himejima together, don't forget Genya was reciting the Amida Sutra when fighting upper 4.

Genya warming up to Tanjiro is one of my favourite developments, it’s so sweet to see him be more considerate and relaxed around him, and the corps members calling Tanjiro mom… he’s so full of familial love and care 🩷

These guys discussing why most Hashira don't have Tsugukos are kinda just half right. It's super exerting but also can you imagine Obanai with a Tsuguko? SANEMI?! They're so not mentor material. I feel Muichiro is too young for it even if he wasn't recovering from ego death rn. Giyuu probably wanted a Tsuguko very badly so they could replace him but suitable Water Breathers are probably slim pickings...Maybe he would've taken in Tanjiro if he hadn't started using Sun Breathing. Rengoku was in a similar situation, his Tsuguko started using Love Breathing. Also his training was too harsh. Shinobu has Kanao and uh...there's something else she says that you'll see in Infinity Castle. But alongside Mitsuri I think she's the most suitable for having apprentices. Also Tengen in a lesser capacity. Gyomei is...a special case. I have a theory as to why he took Genya in but that comment is for EP 7.

Yeah the differentiation between mine and yours is mostly accent haha, probably the northerner in me! The one you mentioned is more grammatically correct but they make the same sounds depending on how you say it!

I had to leave a comment because your breakdown of Genya and Gyomei's dynamic was so refreshing. Most reactors miss those subtle character ties entirely! 👐 It would be pretty shortsighted to assume Genya’s softened demeanor (compared to his reckless behavior at the Final Selection) is entirely down to Tanjiro. While Tanjiro definitely sparked a change, it makes total sense to assume that Himejima’s guidance and presence played an equally massive role in shaping him. Awesome catch on your part! 👏 Himejima has this incredible presence, even with few words, the entire Hashira room listens when he speaks. It suggests that his role in the Corps would be built on deep wisdom and character, not just sheer power. Also, seeing Nakime officially inherit the Upper Rank 4 position after Hantengu’s defeat sets up such an intense dynamic!👁🎻 I really enjoy the soundtrack played during the Infinity Castle scenes, which reminds me a bit of Death Note's music.🎶 Really looking forward to Episode 7 and seeing your thoughts as Himejima’s character gets more screen time! You can use his first name Gyomei if you're worried about mispronouncing the name.

About the line I said about Shinobu saying in Infinity Castle: I was referring to the line she says about having other Tsugukos that died.
