Pedro D. G.

It's officially open the hyperfocus season on volleyball ❤️

Remington Odell

I'm so excited. This is my favorite anime of all time. This will be my sixth rewatch! 😁

The timing couldn't have been more perfect. I was just thinking this week about trying to find some new Haikyu reaction content, and then boom, you drop this shortly after I join the Patreon (initally so I could get the full JJK episodes). Truly thank you for the content you produce. My girlfriend and I really appreciate how much effort and thought you put into your discussions, as well as how many details and nuances you pick up on. We also love your infectious enthusiasm and how completely you immerse yourself in a show. Thank you again for all the great content!

I’m not sure how wide spread this view is but Haikyuu dub is really good. Also don’t stress not knowing anything about volleyball, I watched this like 6 years ago and it’s what first got me into volleyball, it explains everything really well.

I prefer SUB overall due to being hearing impaired. Subtitles never fully line up accurately with DUB and it can be off-putting. Also being able to focus on the subtitles and not be distracted by my native language also means I lock in to actually focus and analyse.

DrSophieDarlingReacts

You are both so sweet!! Thank you so much!! Yes, my editor and my best friend have both been insistent on Haikyu for months so it's been in the pipeline for a long while haha!!

unnamed

the "karasu" in "Karasuno" means crow! Loving the lighthearted anime selection lately. After giving you trauma, it's time to give you the good vibes~

Kayla

Haikyuu.. It was my comfort show for years, so I'm glad you are covering it. I'm so happy. Something you'll have more fun than drama with. ✨🖤

Goldie

After the pain of Demon Slayer, it's time for the healing power of Haikyuu 🥹 Like Hinata, I am so excited about volleyball!! LETS GOOOOOOO

Jennifer Gonzalez

This is the most real thing, I have no idea how this anime and manga made me cry than nearly any other I've ever watched/read. Furudate simply the goat icl

J M

I first watched Haikyuu when I was in my early teens and despite being a super avid reader, this was the first piece of media that I ever truly felt the author speaking to me through the work. Maybe some of it was just a bit too relatable but I think it's just the quality of Haruichi Furudate. The anime is also elevated by Yuki Hayashi's OSTs. I personally think he's second to only Hiroyuki Sawano (AoT composer) in anime composing and OST directing. I hope you can enjoy the music as much as I did in this show and hopefully one day you might react to MHA and get to hear Yuki Hayashi's magnum opus (imo) Very disjointed yap but I'm very excited to be here instead of still on the YouTube only side! Please enjoy my favourite anime ever!

blorbothefrog

man I am SO hyped for this show. it's phenomenal for making you really care about the characters, and knowing how you lock in for emotional stuff makes me think it's gonna be right up your alley. and don't worry about not knowing volleyball stuff, I am vehemently anti-sports and even I understood enough to get hyped about stuff when it happens, so you'll be fine - the show does a good job explaining stuff in a beginner-friendly way

Torje Amundsen

Yeah Karasuno translates to "crowfield", there are also other wordplay moments in the show like this that arent literal translations of a word but rather how the word sounds instead, and they unfortunately never explain them to the English speaking audience haha

domi

(I already knew but) based on some of your comments ON THE FIRST EPISODE i know you will love some of the themes the shows gets into <3 Also super random fact, a couple of extras are voiced by our very own precious boy Itadori Yuuji (Enoki Junya)

peachy af

Haikyuu has been my number 1 anime since i watched it like 6 years ago and it has not budged. Literally the one of the most special shows in my lifetime

peachy af

The emotional impact of a lot of scenes is lost on the dub

Tobe

Hi! This is the first time in a while I've been able to catch the start of a new series on patreon. I'm so excited for you to go on this journey. As someone who's watched the anime through and finished the manga, I can confidently say this is one of the most satisfying and well-crafted stories out there! Looking forward to watching you dive into all the amazing characters, Sophie 💖
