I'm not sure why I never got around to watching this movie. It was so much fun. You can see Jack Black had a lot of passion for this role. Great movie!!!

Man, this movie is such a guilty pleasure. I can't imagine any actor other than Jack Black in this role - he has a knack of making the most mundane line comedy gold. If memory serves, most of the kids (with the exception of Miranda Cosgrove who went on to star in iCarly) moved on to other things in life. There is a video on YouTube of the 10th anniversary reunion (2013) where they all perform again. Btw, the lead singer of Dewey's old band is Adam Pascal who played Roger in the original Broadway cast of Rent, so he is most definitely a singer.

YES!!!!!!! jack black has said he's ready to do a sequel if it ever feels right. Also as Tenacious D fans have you seen Pick of Destiny?? If not you should squeeze that in sometime

So happy this dropped. I've been at my lowest. Tendonitis has attacked both my feet and my right hand/forearm and it's been on going and getting worse for nearly 2 weeks (Monday marks it). It's fathers day weekend and I have my son and I can't do anything with him. He understands, and is wishing me the best. But man I'm defeated. Not to mention work issues. I've been so down and in so much pain. I've watched this movie since release. Over 20 years and I still love it. This made me smile. Thank you so much

American sign language is an American language but those that speak it are woefully unable to communicate unless they learn lip reading. And in the end we all will deaf or hard of hearing not to mention the power to comunicate at a party or club without all the "what?" I imagine French and British sign language is similar in that

I love this movie, I agree that no one but Jack Black could have done this one justice. Also, the guy who plays Spider, the replacement for Jack in his original band is now a US district attorney in Texas. Oh! And the actual after school music-education program School of Rock does exist. There are over 300 locations and I actually live 20 minutes away from one and knew several kids who went and learned how to play instruments while we were in school.

So much fun and so many great rock and roll songs. Love Jack Black and Joan Cusack. ❤️ TOYS (1992) is another great movie with Joan Cusack. My favorite with her. So many other great actors in that but I don’t want to spoil in case you ever get to see

So this movie was my life as a kid. The School of Rock is an actual organization across the US I went to one location from 8th grade till i graduated highschool. basically you do a one hour music lesson a week then they have a performance program where for 3 months once a week for 3 hours you get together with other kids in the program under a director. you get assigned songs normally 3-5 (or more depending on number of students in that show) and at the end of 3 months you play at a local venue i've played a lot of places through the program my favorite being the rock and roll hall of fame. and i'm still playing shows but my own music and by myself

Great movie with a brilliant cast, makes me a bit sad to watch now knowing that the kid who played Freddy died a few years ago, but its great to see him rocking the drums and Jack Black is always a pleasure to watch
