I have to say this show so far has been one of the best I have ever seen. It hits on such a high emotional level. I have never played the game before so this is the only version of the characters I know. If people don't like this version of Ellie it is clearly not Bellas fault. Bella's acting skills are impressive. All the actors in this show are just phenomenal. I have watched that scene on the porch several times and I can't get through it without tears.

Only reason they hate on Bella is they don't find them "pretty" and their excuse is that they don't look like game Ellie, i wouldn't mind their opinouns much.

@Makondan maybe you should stop speaking for other people and just for yourself. I don't like Bella Ramsey in the role. I think season 2 is pretty bad in general, the last few episodes have been atrocious. And that's not just because of her. I don't have a problem with her appearance nor do I think she's ugly. But she doesn't look or feel like Ellie at all. She's not believable in the role. And I know a lot of people who feel the same way. She's a good actress, but not a good Ellie. And it's totally valid to say that.

Totally okay to feel either way, it is good to hear reasons of why and can totally respect any opinion that anyone has cause we should all be able to have one. I for one think Bella is a great actress and is landing all the beats really well but others can feel different and that is all good with us ❤️. (Edit): as long as it is respectful ofc lol

I am just frustrated to see people post hate on Bella Ramsey and take tens of thousands(not just thousands TENS of thousands) of likes and support from other people that's why i said it like that, of course you can have your own opinion i can respect that but the most loud Bella version of Ellie haters have sickly issues.

I've also never played the game. In my opinion, this show is an example of what can be done when everyone involved truly cares deeply about their craft. The writing, the acting, the art direction, all exceptional. The light acoustic guitar is perfect for this, almost just an accent to rest of the art. It's wonderful when a genre like this is expressed so artistically. Perhaps I'm fortunate to not have played the game, though I honestly don't think I would feel differently. Bella is a wonder in my opinion. Pedro is always great as is Gabriel Luna. Isabel has been a revelation and I look forward to seeing more of Kaitlyn Dever. Jeffrey Wright is great surprise.

@Ninaofthe90s i dont know how you can watch this season and think "atrocious". Watching with your eyes and ears closed maybe? And to say "speak for yourself" and then just confirm what they said by complaining that she doesnt look like ellie (when pedro doesnt act or look like joel himself (hmm i wonder why no one complains about this though)) imo most of the hate on this show and series as a whole is incredibly bad faith with it being surrounded by the incel redditor "we totally dont care about the look of the actress but 95% of what we complain about will be the actress not looking right" crowd and the right wing "anti-woke" crowd. a bit heated since ive seen more hate for this show than ive seen for any other piece of media in my life bar the game of thrones final season which is insane
