Holy shit I’ve never seen this movie but I’ve heard about it for years and it was so much funnier than I thought it would be. I couldn’t stop laughing at some of the jokes and awkward moments

Elizabeth Banks & John Michael Higgins are hilarious treasures here... amassed by stealing every scene that they are in. This movie is such toe-tapping fun. Great vibes. And... Anna Kendrick doing the 'cups' song... is just such a wonderful moment.

This is for sure one of my faves! I'm glad you enjoyed it so much, I think this is actually a comedic sleeper hit like people go into this knowing about the music ,expecting just that but somehow not the fact that this movie is actually pretty hilarious lol I cannot wait for Barbie either that's another fun one!

I was in college when this came out and my crew of guys i was hanging out with said to watch this...and i'm roughly 10 years older than them and i was like..."guys, it's not my thing." after ...basically peer pressure lol...i got to watch it and damn it, it's good. Gettin' it. Gettin' it.

I am not a fan of war movies, so I had never watched some of the picks for last month and I had a great time, so it's nice to see the same for other genres this month Pitch Perfect is always a fun time and the reaction was brilliant as per usual ;) Can hardly wait for the rest!

This movie is so funny. It’s one of my favorites !! I’m interested to see what yall think of Barbie lol. I went to the theater to see it with my 13 year old daughter. I didn’t love it for myself but I thought it had a good message for my daughter in this crazy world of sh**. Being proud to be a girl !! It’s not a bad movie, some people just like to nip pick

Yeah I would like to watch it again with rob and trin to get a different perspective. I have a daughter and a son so although I loved it for my daughter, I hated it for my son. To me…it made men seem stupid and misogynistic and less important than the girls. I felt if my son watched it (he’s 11) it would make him feel bad about himself. So while uplifting my daughter, it would make my son feel less than. It was a wild mix of emotions I had toward the movie. He didn’t want to see it anyway bc he doesn’t like Barbie so I didn’t really have to worry about it. But this was the first movie I’ve ever seen that I liked and disliked equally 😂

The thing is - movies & tv have been making girls feel "less than" since the beginning. The world already almost automatically elevates boys by default. Most movies are geared to boys/guys. I grew up where often the only female in a movie was just an accessory for the guy, or a bimbo. This one movie flips that perspective for satire purposes - and everyone worries about men's feelings. Yet we almost never got the same. We shouldn't forget that. Most guys are not worried about our feelings. Plus, the movie is about letting go of societal gender pressures for both. I think it does that very well. All my son has to do is look at 90% superheroes, action heroes, and every US President to be uplifted every day. I'd say that daughters need this one movie more. Plus, I don't see it putting down men... just shows them what women have always had to deal with, much gentler than otherwise.

This is why I liked this poll. Holding to just one theme will give a lot of movies a chance that might lose to more mainstream movies. We still get a good mix with Rob & Trin’s picks. I hope to get some categories like: Animals Sports Comics
