I love a consistent character. Corlys is one of them. Rhaenyra was not altogether denying Corlys’ ask to legitimize his two sons. She said, “Not in this moment”. She has Joffrey to think about, among other things. He denied and neglected his two sons for decades, but no one shamed him for it but himself. So, his snapping at Rhaneyra and bringing up Jace was really uncalled for. I am loving this season so much, too. The first half of this episode was really funny. I wouldn't want to be in Rhaenyra’s position, lol.

The whole time, I was thinking: Oh no, Rhaenyra is about to cut herself on the Iron Throne, just like her father always did.

Corlys lost his wife, his home, his money, his brother and a lot of his men and even accepted one of her illegitimate children as his heir for her and her cause. And now that she's got what she wanted she can't do this one thing for him so that she can keep up a lie that doesn't really matter anymore? F that B Corlys needs to get what men he can and go to Braavos or the Summer Isles.
