Ayase Momo (Patreon)

How could she have let herself be tricked here? Ayase really had no one to blame but herself for getting into this mess. That’s what she wanted to believe, but she KNEW who to blame. Ken said he really wanted to be here, and was he here? Hell no. Instead, he was having a ‘problem with his butt’ as he said. Something about it being stolen by ANOTHER supernatural being. Momo swore that it was almost becoming habit for him to lose parts to himself. Especially when he WANTED to be here more than she did. Some big psychic convention for all these masters psychics or so. Who knew if this place was any legit. Most likely, they were all frauds. Ken would complain that it isn’t true, because SHE’S a psychic. Why would anyone like her deny the existence of psychics if they were one?
Momo could answer that thought because she was a psychic. Because she was someone who actually had these gifts, she could be a little bit more skeptical of those who claim to have her gifts. That she can possibly tell who has this power and those who don’t. The moment she entered this large building that was full of people claiming to be psychics, setting up stands and talking with each other, Momo had a thought in her head. How could she tell if someone was or wasn’t a psychic? Momo kind of hoped she would just… know on instinct. Momo just had to walk around the building, wondering if she was ever going to find anyone like her in this room. Looking around her, watching people act up and talk about their psychic powers, Momo knew she was gonna kick Ken into a toilet for making her come here.
How could she have been tricked into entering this place?! It’s the biggest most obvious scam in the whole world.
“I don’t know if kicking your buttless friend into a toilet is worth losing your time, but I’m not you.”
Momo turned around, and saw a cloaked man standing there, thick glasses and smirking. He was almost as old as her granny, as the glasses man craned his head up, and moved his jacket. Not with his hands or body… but his mind! Momo knew without having a voice tell her, that he was psychic. Probably a powerful one, if he could read her mind. Momo wasn’t certain if she could trust the guy, he could be another alien, but she’ll follow alongside with him. Maybe it would do her some good to do so. Besides, if he really wanted to do something evil with her, punishing him would be easy. Her powers did give her some benefit that guys like him couldn’t believe, so Momo followed alongside with him. It wasn’t a long walk, as just behind the convention, was a small group of strange and odd looking people. People who were staring at Momo, and making odd faces. Before Momo ran away screaming at what seemed to be a cult, she felt something strange happen right behind her. Momo took a look at what was going on behind her, and was shocked to see what was going on.
Small rocks and branches were being lifted in the air around her, even dancing around. It was clear, given how they were moving, it was impossible to move that way unless they were held in the air by psychic powers. Momo was actually a little impressed, these people were genuine psychics! The leader of the psychics smirked, and with a touch of his finger to his head, began to make all of the psychics sans Momo float in the air. Just a single foot off the ground, as the leader began to talk. His voice solid, and radiating with power.
“Almost always, I find one person at these stupid conventions who hopes to meet others like us. While I yet to find a psychic as powerful as myself, I am more than happy to meet a girl as young as you. Perhaps your potential will be impressive. I can’t sense how powerful you are, but I would love to know how poweful you are. If you can pass our test, then we shall gladly accept you into our order. Please, show us your gifts in the best way that you can, we’ll see if we can approve of your abilities.
Momo had to admit, was this all a little bit intense? Yeah, it was. But at the same time, it was really exciting. The test could be a fun test of how powerful other psychics were, if they judged some of her minimum power as unable to join the group. All of this psychic stuff they were pulling out seemed super interesting. If they wanted her to impress them, than impress them she will. Momo looked around at what looked heavy enough to lift to impress them, and was hit with the obvious. Was it a bit gaudy to try to lift this? Sure it was. But that’s what made it super fun to try! Momo concentrated on the biggest thing she saw, and enveloped her energy around it. Her brain was doing all of the job, and she wasn’t struggling much with it. Momo could really make this fly, but that wasn’t what she wanted to do. More, the idea she had in mind was to just make it float a little bit in the air. None of the psychics saw what she was doing, until they felt the ground shaking right out from under them.
They didn’t know what was shaking, until they all saw it. The very con they had just left was being ripped out of its foundations and out of the ground. Tens of thousands of tons of material, being lifted into the air, as if it weighed nothing but a feather. Not once, did it seem like Momo was struggling at all at lifting the whole complex. Momo was putting in the same amount of effort that the strongest of them would lifting a light pencil! The building was being taken out from the foundations of the ground, and Momo knew what was really going to impress them. Lifting up the con wasn’t just the plan to impress these people, but lifting even more! Why lift a con when their so many cars around to lift with it? Momo had lifted the cars higher in the air than she did the con, and gently played with the cars. Not enough to damage them for the drivers, just to put on a show for the other psychics. She spun the cars around, not too fast, but just enough to do 360’s in the air. Momo even made the cars do musical chairs in the sky.
Setting a few dozen In a straight line, than they move along, and she slowly pushed one out of the way so they could do the dance with one less. That pushed away car would be set down, and with a car out of the way, she increased tempo on the musical car game. When ten cars were in the air, they moved at a speed that would make a one legged man say start moving, slow poke. With nine cars, she doubled the speed, and kept on doubling as she set a car down, until three cars were in the air, dancing along and moving at 50 miles an hour in how she made them dance! All of this being done so they were close, but never touching, and she was lifting a several ten thousand ton con with hundreds of people inside! For Momo, all of this was really fun and exhilarating, until finally, she had set down the final car, that she made dance at 200 miles an hour! Soaring through the sky at speeds that were never reached by automobile before! It even spun around a bird, chasing after the bird and scaring it, but Momo made sure she wasn’t harming the bird with her trick. Momo was having a thrill ride with this whole show, and decided to end it with a bit of a show stopper.
Momo concentrated hard, and put all her focus on the con. With the building now at eye level off the ground, feet off the surface, Momo really had fun with the building. Momo could make the building do a lot of things, but she was concerned about the people inside of it. To prevent them from becoming stains on the walls and ceiling, she was gentle with the building. Momo… tilted the building. Slowly, at first, and Momo really put on a powerful display of her psychic gifts. Using that gift, she was able to ‘glue’ people and things to the ground or walls. That way, they didn’t even feel the whole building was off the ground and being shifted. Slowly, Momo flipped the building so it was now on its side, high in the air, and yet, nothing was going on inside. Everyone still thought they were on the ground and right side up. If anyone checked the windows, they would have been terrified. Every step someone made, they were still glued to the ground with one foot, sand reattached when they put their foot down. The entire con was being shifted perfectly in what Momo wanted, and even as the con was upside down, no one knew. No one was really looking at any windows, and more focused on their con fun. Nothing fell to the ceiling, because Momo was holding everything in place while allowing some movement for when they were interacted with. Momo than went back to flipping the con, and after a minute of moving it around, it was back the right side up.
Momo, with little effort, began to bring down the con back to its spot. Momo was just slowly setting it down, as she put it back in place. It was easy for her to do so, as easy it was to ride a bike. Momo was setting down the con as gently as she could, and once it had landed, the most anyone felt was a small bump and not even a single plushy on a plushy wall fell off a hook. Momo, with a mighty amount of psychic power, sealed the floor of the building to the very ground. In jusy that moment, she had set the building back to its exact spot as best as she could, and had even fixed some piping in one of the bathrooms. Momo smiled, folded her arms, and looked at all of the psychics near her who had all shown their psychic tricks. After showing off all of that power, then that meant she passed their test and could join their group. It would be rather nice to join a group of other psychics who knew what it would be like to have this gift.
“So, what do you guys think? Did I pass the test, or should I do something actually impressive?”
At that moment, all of the psychics were gone. Having ran away in terror of her, and Momo folded her arms and puffed up her cheeks. Just as she suspected. Even the ‘real deal’ psychics were just frauds when compared to one of her caliber. Momo just used her psychic gifts to float back to Ken, and she knew she was going to kick his butt… if he had one.
