Originally this strip was about Felix was complaining about how much shampoo and conditioner he had to use, but I like my last minute change to this dialogue more (which also added two more panels).

I'm thinking this is Jess putting Fi through some sort of test. Like what if Fi is actually in the dreamband and is remote controlling Jess's body but with one of those perception filters things to make her and the environment look different. Craig might not have been there at all, framed photos could have different images, etc. The ability to tell you are in the dreamband and the ability to remove it yourself is probably a safety feature implemented in code not hardware and Jess might have the skills to hack that and turn it off.

If whoever's body that actually is follows a curly girl routine she would probably be annoyed about Fi using the shampoo instead of doing a cowash. Speaking as someone who does follow a curly girl routine, my hair is a bit messed up and unruly for days after a shampoo wash.

I think she'd look great with a pixie cut! Long hair can really be a bother. I had a friend years ago (also a red-head) whose hair was below her butt. She'd put in a single braid and attach a heavy brass bell to the end of it. She could snap her head and almost crack it like a whip. I nearly got hit in the face by the bell once or twice.
