Nico gives us a sneak peak at his future plans and some new characters who might show up in Robin Harper book 3!

Quinn returns from her first appearance back in chapter 19, where she appeared beside Robin in a glimpse of a future where the Shadow Man succeeds in his plan. Nico likely knows that Quinn will rebel when he succeeds, but doesn't see her as a threat worth worrying about.

Love the X-Men vibes I'm getting from page 17 :D

"If I empower and agitate a group of idealistic young people to overthrow the current regime, then they'll be grateful and give me power afterwards!" This is an amazing plan, and this guy should work with the CIA!

Only one problem the wizard has already seen a future where Anna's daughter becomes the Golden Throne.

I think (hope) that Nico has badly misjudged Anna. It seems that Nico only respects power. He doesn't seem to even u destined why fairies would treat humans and non-magical beings as anything more than pets. His goal appears to be rule of the strongest. I think he views his disagreement with Anna as purely personal. He messed with her daughter and now she's mad at him. Anna is manipulative and sometimes ruthless, but I don't think she's actively callous or malicious. She will mess with people to get what she wants, but so far only if she thinks they would be better off or at least no worse off. Either that or they've done something to deserve it, like Doros. And as a former slave, I don't think she has any taste for enslaving others. (Plus I think Quinn is the leader of the rebellion against Nico in the alternate future we saw where he overthrew Lord Arctemo. So I don't think she's a natural ally either). I could see this leading to a rebellion, but I don't think it will go the way Nico wants.

Lmao! Very true! This is definitely guaranteed to not backfire horribly for him!

Nico wants to "show them the truth" and indoctrinate them to his cause before he empowers them, because in Nico's mind, his cause is right and just. The problem is, Nico's definition of a "person" doesn't include humans while for the younger crowd it does. And since they are starting with conflicting premises, their conclusions will likewise differ.

. . . and free all of faerie kind from the suffocating shackles . . . So that we can put our own shackles on them instead . . . Meet the New Boss, same as the Old Boss.

Saw some graphical quirks on Anna's dress (her hips) on page 033. These spots are hard to ignore for me.
